I recently moved from Connecticut to Virginia. I used the Extra Space Storage in Tolland Connecticut Store # 7267. Most of the items were sent down to me by my family members or given away to family and friends. However there were some miscellaneous items to be discarded. The services received by both this store and the Extra Space store on Dabney Road in Richmond Virginia was beyond outstanding. They worked together and with me to get paperwork completed to complete the transaction I had requested. These two wonderful employees showed me the highest level of customer service, working together to "get the job done". Thank you both. You both deserve this praise and recognition. read more

they will nearly double your rent after a few months... whatever rate you sign up for is an introductory rate. It doesn't say that anywhere except maybe in the fine print of the lease agreement. The "web rate" was $93, but then after all the insurance and fees it comes out to $133, and then after 3 months it jumped to $217!!! Big difference between $93 and $217!! So beware, it will cost MUCH more than you bargained for! read more

I thought the employee who walked me through my purchase of my storage space was really nice and very curtious. I am not very tech savvy and I also get extremely anxious when I don't know how to get around on the computer or do an electronic signature. He was very patient and assured me I could accomplish and complete the forms, that it was easy and explained it to me. He told me if I had any problems to call back and he would get me though the electronic forms. And I'm not kidding I'm one of those people that things just go wrong. So I go to the form to sign the contract it's telling me to flip my screen so I can sign and my phone screen won't go into position lol I was using it earlier for a zoom meeting. The unit is extremely clean and easy to load into. The manager Justin was very flexible with move in date and location of our unit within the premises. I love the open ceiling with chicken wire as it allows for great climate control and removes the "echo" noise of an enclosed unit. It also has a power outlet 25 feet from my unit if I have to test power for items stored in my unit. They have piped in music that helps make it more enjoyable. The experience has been so good my son and daughter-in-law moved into their unit this past week. read more

Where do I start? Justin and Eric were so welcoming when we walked in. The place is so clean and nothing like any other storage places we have looked at. Renting with this facility and company has been an awful experience. I moved my belongings into an indoor, climate controlled unit in May to store for a few months while I was between leases. On Sunday I picked up my belongings and moved into my new lease. Upon unpacking I immediately noticed significant amounts of mold covering almost all of my belongings. Almost everything I own is ruined, and even worse is that I am allergic to mold and asthmatic. I am already extremely sick from having moldy belongings in my new apartment. I called to complain and was met with an unprofessional attitude multiple times. Everyone I spoke to made it clear that they would refuse to take responsibility and that there was no way I could get a refund for the hundreds of dollars I spent renting a unit there. I elevated the issue to the regional supervisor, Andrew. He was unprofessional and rude to me. He continuously interrupted me while I was calmly speaking and told me "this is not going to be a conversation." He kept outright telling me that he was refusing to have a conversation with me about the issue. I found it very unprofessional. I have tried speaking to the storage facility's manager, the corporate call center, and the regional supervisor at this point. No one has been helpful or even apologetic at all for the awful experience I am having. I would never recommend this company or facility to anyone. read more
