I've been hearing good reviews about the reopening of Red Boy Pizza, under new ownership. Stopped in around 2:30 for a margarita pizza to go. There were several other patrons dining in. Cute place. I was in and out in 15 minutes or so. The small pizza was a good size with a generous amount of toppings. The crust was excellent, with a crispy undercarriage that didn't get soggy as I often encounter with take out pizza. I'll be back for sure. read more

Sunday night dinner here was excellent. Really wish to see Red Boy busy. March Madness is happening so great to come watch a basketball game right now. For our meal we enjoyed the buffalo chicken wings and shared a medium pizza (half Red Boy the other half Ferrari). Lovely and friendly server. Of course we'll be back! read more

So happy to finally write a good review for Red Boy Pizza. It's under new ownership and you can totally feel the "out with the old, in with the new" vibe. The place feels refreshed and honestly seems like it's about to take off. I used to be so bummed because this spot had so much potential but the food was always underwhelming. Not anymore. Everything tasted super fresh and the pizza was prepped and cooked perfectly. I'm a big time pizza snob and it exceeded expectations. The garlic cheese knots were unreal. This has been our go-to spot for pizza! I was not a fan of sourdough pizza until I found Red Boy Pizza. I appreciate how it's not doughy. I appreciate the thinness of the dough and the fresh ingredients. Our go-to pizzas are the Red Boy Special and the Island Paradise. Deliciouso! We are absolutely thrilled that Red Boy has reopened in its former spot. We have no decent pizza in South Novato (or anywhere in Novato, really) and were heartbroken last time they closed. The new owners seem to make a thinner crust pizza than before, but it's really yummy and still has the wonderfully spongey New York style cheese. The online ordering is easy and they always have coupons like they did previously. The new look inside the restaurant is smaller but clean, and very lively. It's been busy every time I've gone in. Ordered here a bunch of times but have noticed lack of spread of certain toppings, particularly olives and now cheese. They put a couple jalapeños on one side and the other they only put the seeds... I liked this pizza place but the manager just told us to order dominoes when we said something about the pizza. read more

We ordered two medium pizzas for delivery with Caesar salads and an order of meatballs. The food arrived quickly and was hot. Driver followed instructions. Although the sourdough tasted fresh and was flavorful, it did not have the same "bite" as non-sourdough. The pizzas, ordered litte crust were cooked properly. Medium size was very generous. The special Red-Boy tomato sauce was chunky and tasted fresh, but it had a weird spice addition (did not taste like oregano, but closer to sage?) and we did not think it as good as more typical tomato sauces. Margherita Pizza Ample quantities of basil, cheese and tomato sauce. As noted above, it had the weird spice in the sauce. Special Combo Good quantities of cheese, salami, pepperoni, sausage, onions, peppers (very fresh), and onions. Same comments as to the weird spice in the sauce. Caesar Salads Lettuce had sat out for two long and did not taste fresh. Croutons were small and likely out of a bag. Dressing was only average and tasted as though it had been in a jar- not enough garlic. Meatballs Meatballs were juicy and large, but were overpowered by weird spice. I heard they were under new owner ship and decided to grab some slices. Upon walking in the staff had a heavily loaded pizza they were eating on the counter. It looked great so decided to order a pizza. First off, She charged me more than the price listed online. Secondly, the toppings were sooooo skimpy. I actually laughed when I opened the box. For that price you can get a much bigger artisan pizza elsewhere. We have been Redboy fans at other locations and we're hoping the new owners would take more pride in their food. read more

Hey Redboy! You aren't supposed to make chicken Parmesan that well. Holy smokes! We had a delicious dinner at Novato Red Boy tonight. Started with a split Caesar salad which was yummy. Then we both ordered the chicken parm. I wasn't expecting much. It came to the table piping hot with the chicken covered in a chunky tomato sauce and blanketed in melted cheese. Part of the show stopping greatness of the dish was the side of penne pesto. Darn it! So good. The pesto was subtle so it didn't compete with the chicken. And the crunchy garlic bread was perfect to dunk in the pesto, then a little tomato sauce, and at the end the bread pushed the pesto/tomato sauce around the plate. Crunchy awesomeness. Stop it Redboy. Now I have serious decisions to make for future dinners with you: pizza, spaghetti, or parm? Ugh. read more

Ambiance is great smaller than it used to be but it works. Service is usually pretty spot on nothing special but friendly crew! The food is usually delicious but I have had some times that could've been better.. overall I say please visit for some good sourdough pizza! read more

We ordered an "Island Paradise" pizza to go, and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. There was plenty of pineapple, the Canadian bacon was nice and thin, and the sauce was really good. I've had their spaghetti before and it has a great sauce also. read more

So glad Red Boy Pizza in Novato reopened! I was told the reopening was on January 3rd, which happens to be my birthday. Best birthday present ever!! I went in shortly after the reopening, and it was the same awesome pizza I remember from before. Red Boy in Novato has the very BEST pizza in Marin County, by far! So happy this location reopened! New ownership and same, maybe better, pizza. Always loved this local gem and got a few slices for the family since everyone wanted something different. Pizza by the slice was crispy undercarriage and huge! My little girls loved their cheese slice, I had my usual favorite, slice of crispy sausage pizza and my wife had a bomb combo of sausage, bacon, onion and pineapple (our girls like to eat the pineapple). Smelt so good! Short drive home and everyone was satisfied... the ranch is also top notch pizza ranch! A little disappointed I forgot to get garlic knots! Everyone was super friendly and happy to be working there. Inside is your typical pizza parlor ambiance that makes you want to sit down, eat a slice and watch some sports with a cold beer.
