    The Ferrari Pizza!

I ordered this, along with a pepperoni~ This place definitely hasn't a different taste than the one in San Rafael and a different atmosphere. Definitely a cool place to chlll with great service even though we took it to go but while we waited we enjoyed the place and the game they had playing on their nice sized T.V. Cool tunes too, if you enjoy music. Overall, pretty nice.

Let me set the stage. I am having a sad girl holiday. I'm missing my old self and my family in my old town. I want pizza and a giant beer without a bunch of fuss. I live down the street from Red Boy. I go in and order a large pepperoni and a large Modelo on tap. There's 4 patrons. The young cat working is cool and clearly minds his business when I order. The vibe is top tier. The pizza is perfect. Cheese is melted just right - filling in the gaps in my soul. The crust is crusting. I'm feeling like fresh laundry.

Pizza is delicious and location is even better. It is just two stores down from my esports club. (If you are interested in joining my clan, Young Money Fortnite Clan, reply to this review. For more information, talk to Tom Griffin, our other leader, who is usually working in Red boys on Fridays and Saturdays. Picture of him is below). I encourage anyone in the area to dine here as soon as possible as it one of the best pizza joints around. I hope everyone reading this has a blessed day. What is this we found in a slice of pizza??? Bandaid- looking Cardboard of some kind.
    T D.

Disappointed. Despite the reviews, we decided to try your food. While everything was fine, more or less, the fact that we found bits of cardboard in one of the slices of pizza is a huge concern. I'm curious to hear an explanation of how this can happen. Thank God these were not bandaids, as that is what they looked like at first glance. What is this and how would this happen in a kitchen when preparing food? Gross.

Note: 3 stars (instead of 2, because I'm aware I'm cranky during the pandemic, and everyone is going thru a lot of sht....and I still got 2 meals out of it.) I'm trying to support places through covid and I remembered this one from growing up - figured I should support an old haunt, but holy hell... "Underwhelming" is charitable, there's really no structure/crisp to support the slice period, for a pepperoni pizza, there was minimal pepperoni. Even after reheating in oven, the crust at its thickest parts seemed undercooked (which approached 1/3rd of pizza in a lot of slices). Really, I don't know what crust other people were raving about, maybe it was an off night, but it was a Tuesday and they sure didn't seem busy...at least it was ready on time. To the owner/manager: Buy your staff ACTUAL masks AND enforce their use. This is not the time to be sloppy, thanks. Parting note - granted, its literally been 20 years, but FYI they don't seem to use the same quality pepperoni, and abandoned using cornmeal for the bottom.

all uncooked thick bread! no extra large veggie! Extra Large bread, Extremely Rude front staff.

While the quality of the meat was good, the cooking methods were not. It was extremely bland. No seasoning. The sauce that came with it was bland too. Worst of all I ordered it cooked medium and it was served mostly well done. 85% of the inside was grey and dry. Only about 15% of the steak was not cooked well done. The 15% left was barely medium well. Just a slight hint of pink in one spot. Clearly the cook does not know what medium cook is. Overall decent but doesn't stand out. Definitely did not justify the prices.

After we were finally seated and put in our order for drinks, appetizers and main dishes, we waited quite a long time to get our food served. Quality-- not sure if we ordered the wrong things or went in on an off night, but for some reason everything we ordered was underwhelming and lackluster, from the: -drinks (cucumber mojito and strawberry balsamic mocktails) -bruschetta was average -meatballs were sort of flavorless -spinach ravioli with pesto was bland -parpadelle was also bland and portion was oddly small Overall, the food and service was unsatisfactory for the price we paid for the bill. We were excited to come here to celebrate our anniversary and left the restaurant feeling super unfulfilled with our meals. Picco blends the best of California with locally sourced and fresh produce with classic and modern takes on Italian dining. They are also Michelin recognized, as they've been Bib Gourmand winners ('21-23) in the past, and are currently "Recommended." The Good: * Reservations via OpenTable * Free street and City-owned lots available but there are time limitations, so check the signage. * They also run a pizzeria (Pizzeria Picco) literally right next door if you'd rather have a pie than pasta. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Waitstaff was fantastic and friendly. * Also has a bar if you just want to come in for a drink or three. * Local brews on tap, as well as a full oeuvre of alcoholic beverages. * They're known for their changing seasonal risotto, and after one bite, it was easy to see why! It was simply fantastic, as the rice was cooked perfectly and the fresh spring flavors in ours shone. * Carissa loved her King Salmon and veggies, as the fish was cooked perfectly. I ordered a daily special with house-made pappardelle noodles and smoked beef short ribs, and while it looked like a hot mess, it was fantastic. The noodles were thick and held up well to the assertive smoke and flavor of the beef--just a perfect dish in my opinion.. The Meh: * The Polenta-Crusted Artichoke Hearts appetizer was just OK. I liked the crunch and how they tried to present them as chicken wings, but they ate a little dry and the coating needed more seasoning. Fortunately, their concomitant aioli was able to save the day. The Ugly: * Not the biggest restaurant, and with the brick walls, it can get raucous in there fairly easily, especially if a large post-wedding party shows up to the bar to get sauced. Conclusion: Fantastic spot for a date night or any other occasion with great ambiance, service, and, most importantly, food. Highly recommended.
