I had another wonderful experience at Eye Candy today! I saw Sandy and she did an amazing job. Super quick and easy. I waited a couple of months between waxes, but only bc my hair grows so sparse after so many years of waxing/sugaring. I don't even shave in between. Also that's a "no no" bc it is better to just wear some shorties and stick to waxing! She also advised a mitten to help with exfoliation and added one to my tab ($8) along with a bottle of their house made Miracle Healing Gel ($25). I've used exfoliating gloves in the past, but am stoked to try the mitt out! Ingrowns happen after waxing as the hair grows back thinner, but some doesn't grow back at all (after awhile) so that's a bonus! I'm out of luck if a Full Bush Look comes back in style. Jk... but not really. I like a sleek look though;) I wasn't able to stop at the ATM, but they have one there! This review is long over due, but I've had only amazing experiences at Eye Candy Beauty Salon. Sandy is very professional and her expertise in her profession and materials used is obvious. I have recommended many of my family and friends to her for Brazilians and they all had great experiences as well. Sandy makes you feel comfortable in a vulnerable situation. I've had my fair share of Brazilian waxing prior to Sandy and I'm no stranger to the pain that comes with doing this procedure, but Sandy's technique and materials she uses makes it almost painless and she's very efficient. Eye Candy Beauty Salon is absolutely my go-to for my Brazilian wax needs. Sandy is really knowledgeable and uses sugaring which I absolutely love. It's so much better and less painful for me. I've been waxing for years now so I can tolerate the pain. Beauty is pain and it's so worth it when you want to wear your bikinis and sexy lingerie. I also love the ambiance of the salon too. It's small but also decorated really tropical and girly. I always feel comfortable and relaxed here. There is a a room with a door for privacy when doing your Brazilian wax. I love all the decor in the room, it's a great focal point to forget the pain at times but Sandy is also really easy going to talk with too. THE ONLY PLACE I'LL GO FOR A BRAZILIAN. I first discovered Sandy through a Groupon. She was working out of a nail salon in town, then moved to her own shop. She is the only person I've ever got a Brazilian from and the only one I'll ever go to! I'll follow her wherever she goes. APPOINTMENT: Anytime I need an appointment, I simply shoot her a text and she responds within 20 minutes. She also sends out confirmation texts the day of your appointment, which I LOVE because it puts my mind at ease knowing she knows to be expecting me. LOCATION: Her shop is very small and located in a tight spot. But there is always parking, free, unless you come after 5pm which then there is a fee. There isn't seating inside her shop, besides one or two chairs. I usually wait outside her door until her previous client leaves as I don't want to crowd the place. OVERALL WAXING EXPERIENCE: It hurts. I won't lie. But not unbearable. I do have a VERY low pain tolerance, so it might not even hurt as much for you. She uses sugar wax as well as hard wax. Personally, I like the sugar wax since it isn't hot on the skin, as the hard wax can be sometimes. The overall appointment is usually 20 minutes from the time I walk in to the time I leave. Sandy is FAST, makes you feel as comfortable as possible. I NEVER felt embarrassed or uncomfortable, considering you are letting a stranger all up in your private area. Sandy is EXTREMELY easy to talk to. I'm a very shy person, but she just can get me talking and talking. She even remembers things about you from your pervious appointment, which is amazing to me because she has so many clients! PRICING: Her prices are the best I've seen. I usually pay $39 for my brazilian. If you pay in cash you get the cheaper price, if you pay in card it'd be a bit more expensive. There isn't enough great things I could say about Sandy. Her customer service is through the roof. She is the most kind woman and really takes care of her clients. If you're new to waxing, go to Sandy. She makes you feel comfortable and at ease. I can't even begin to tell you what a great first time experience I had with my first Brazilian wax/sugaring was. Sandy is very thorough and very quick! My appt time only lasted about 15 mins. Very poor customer service from Sandy. A few things that you absolutely need to know before booking with this salon. First, you need to arrive early as to not miss the exact appointment time because there is no grace period. She told me that she will do a rush job to get me out of there in time for the next scheduled appointment. Also, when she says you can reschedule that means you will pay full price for the service you were supposed to have done and you can then you reschedule . Her reasoning for all this you might ask? She told me she is a small business and it's their policy. Now I can understand in a perfect world we would be on time to everything but 5 - 10 minutes late and getting a call that I need to reschedule and she's canceling my appointment and charging me full price for services not rendered calling it a cancellation fee? Best waxing in the state! Sandy (the owner) specializes in Brazilian and sugar waxing and it shows through her work. I don't think there is anyone else in the state who specializes in sugar waxing and is as good as her. This is the most painless wax I have ever received! Her studio is nice and clean, and I love how she provides wipes for us to do a little extra cleaning down there before and after the wax. I have been to many waxing places and she is the only one I came across who does that, I've always had to bring my own wipes. She also has a button you press that is right next to your waxing bed to let her know you are changed, ready for your wax, and she can enter the room. Other places do not have that feature and just barge right in while you are mid changing, or you end up waiting a while for them to finally come back in. She is very knowledgable and walks you through the entire process. She even gives you a mint before your wax, it works almost as a little distraction that helps get you through the process. As a bonus, she has a loyalty program in which you receive a 10 percent discount after five visits. She also sells products that help with any skin conditions (ingrown hairs, dark spots, waxing/razor bumps, etc..) and recommends the one that is best for you. Even though it was my first time there and meeting her, it almost felt like we've known each other for years! She is very welcoming, makes you feel as comfortable as possible, and is great person to talk to which helps distract you from the waxing process. And even though COVID-19 is still going on, I feel safe at her studio. She cleans everything before and after each client and no one else is allowed in the studio/waiting room, you must wait in your car until you receive a text from her telling you she is ready for your appointment and it is ok to come up. For new clients, you are required to fill out a form in which she sends electronically to your phone. It saves you the hassle of filling out a paper, you fill it out while waiting in your car to pass time and so you can get straight into your appointment once called in! It is the little things, her knowledge, and the passion for her work that made me fall in love with this place.
