I've been coming to this optometrist for the past four years but in my most recent appointment (6/28/2019) I had the worst experience I could ever imagine having at an optometry appointment. I no longer plan on ever returning. I had a scheduled an appointment at 10:45 AM on a Friday (6/28/2019). I arrived and checked in on time at 10:45. I had to wait 45 minutes before my appointment with the optometrist Emily Lin started. My appointment was standard and going well, as far as I could tell, until Dr. Lin finally made my new prescription and had me compare it with my current prescription. The new prescription was worse, so I let her know. She then asked to see my glasses, went to another room, and after five minutes came back with what I assumed was another new prescription. She proceeded to have me try on these new lenses with her holding the lenses to my face with her shakey hands and asked me how it was. I told her that I still couldn't see clearly and her holding it like that did not help. She then advised me to blink so my eyes could adjust and then asked if I saw the letters on the board a any better. I agreed that I did see them a little better so she decided that that would be my new prescription without further adjustments. At this point I had already made up my mind that I was not confident in my "new prescription" and Dr. Lin's ability to fix it. I was also annoyed at the excessive amount of time that I had spent there for this mickey mouse job. I politely followed through with the rest of the appointment and tried on the contacts that she recommended and had her finish checking my eyes. Once it was time to check out at the front desk, I respectfully let the clerical staff know about my concerns with the prescription and Dr. Lin. I asked for a second opinion from a different doctor. The staff was happy to oblige but at this point it was past 12 noon and the staff told me I had to wait another 20 minutes to see the other doctor. I did not believe this as I had to wait 45 minutes for my scheduled appointment earlier. I was unsatisfied with my service and did not feel comfortable paying them for an unsatisfactory job. I informed two of the receptionists of this and asked for the fee to be waived as I was tired of waiting and did not want to waste my yearly insurance allowance on a prescription that I was not confident in. This is when I began to become frustrated as they told me they could not waive the $10 copay and $111.35 fitting fee. I asked them to send the bill to my house, but they told me no and that I had to pay the fee upfront even though I was not satisfied with their work. I reluctantly payed the fee as I did not want to get in trouble with the law. After this, desperate for a new working prescription, I went downstairs to the LensCrafter in Macy's and was lucky enough to get a walk-in appointment right then and there with Dr. Lam. The difference was night and day. Dr. Lam and his staff were extremely kind and helpful. He was able to explain to me exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it while finding the right prescription for me at less than half the price as Eye People. I payed a $10 copay and $40 fitting fee for a total of $50 compared to the $110 I spent at Eye People for the same job and I was actually satisfied with the prescription prescribed by Dr. Lam. Later I compared the two different prescriptions I received, and they were completely different. For the sake of your eye health I would advise anyone to instead of going to Eye People just to make a trip downstairs to LensCrafters. ***This is an edit made on 7/1/2019 in response to Andrew C. of Eye People Optometry*** Hello Andrew, I am not sure if you have me confused with another dissatisfied customer as I never made any sexist comments to your staff or tried to be disruptive/hostile in any way. Horrible experience! Friendly service, but they lack experience! Waited about 2 months for my glasses, according to Delia the maker could not fit the lense to the frame they attempted several times! I had to go back and pick another frame! I finally pick up my glasses and the fit is totally off, as if they were for a child! I go back again, some back and forth conversations with the doctor and they decided they would remake my glasses as they would not reimburse me! I chose a frame I was not thrilled with but damn it I need my glasses as my extra pair is wonky but useable! Now I wait, yet again! read more

Stay away from this place. They have cute eyewear from higher end designers which in turn are in the higher end in terms of price. Sooo you would expect high quality service, right? Well you can expect it but they won't deliver. My hubby bought me prescription Burberry sunglasses that even with our insurance coverage he paid a substantial amount out-of -pocket. I tried my sunglasses on after receiving them and since it was a new prescription I felt them to be a little strong. I took them home anyway and tried them on every day but could not keep them on because of the massive headache they would give me and even got me dizzy. Needless to say, I did not keep them on for more than a couple of minutes. After ordering my eyeglasses with this new prescription from Linden in Pasadena, I noticed the new prescription DID NOT give me a headache. So, I immediately took my sunglasses back to Eyepeople. And after I shared my complaint to one of the opticians, she checked both my glasses and guess what? THEY ORDERED THE INCORRECT PRESCRIPTION STRENGTH ON MY SUNGLASSES. So now I have to make extra trips to drop off and pick up my sunglasses with new corrected lens which is a major inconvenience when you have little kids. Yes, there is human error in everything but maybe they need to check each other's orders before submitting for production and maybe they should be more accommodating than a simple "sorry." I could have gotten in a car accident. I am very upset and will not come back here again. read more

Dr Khem conducted a thorough exam and assuaged any fears I had regarding retina pigmentosa, which my brother developed. ******** don't say i didn't warn you ****** I purchased my prescription sunglasses from this office. I ordered Juicy couture and Michael Kors, I was rushing the day I picked them up day so I picked up my classes and left in a rush with out really trying them on ( my mistake). I got home and tried them on. They would slide off my face when I look down. It was Sunday, I called the office told them what happened and the girl said sure bring them in let me look at them. When I get there I gave both pairs to the technician he went back to his office for 15 minutes and "adjusted" my glasses. When I try them on he had completely bent the legs of the glasses so that now the legs looked like hooks. The red head, the big girl at the desk tried to convince me that they looked normal. The legs of the glasses looked like fish hooks and not a little bent they looked like fish hooks (they wrapped around my ears) I complained to them for ruining the natural curve of the glasses and she tries to argue how she wouldn't have a problem wearing them how they are. She said frames are always sold as is and they never measure for a fit. At that point I new I was talking to the village idiot and I decided to take my glasses and leave. I plan on going back during regular business hours when the Dr is in the office. Maybe he can be more understanding to his customers. But I will never purchase from here again. Eye people is such a fantastic eye doctor to get your prescription glasses. The staff at this facility are super nice and very helpful. I recently got an eye exam which the Dr. was helpful on getting me the right prescription to help my eye sight. I've been wanting prescription ray ban sunglasses and was able to purchase them here. I am really excited. Caroline helped me with making sure everything was good to go and making sure I am getting what I paid for. Bottom line, this facility really help you out and the helped me well. I stopped by here a couple of months ago to renew my prescription. Made the mistake of getting dupped into buying the anti glare coating. DON'T invest in this. It's $85 bucks on top of what you are paying and it is super high maintenance. It doesn't help that the center does not point out that unless you specifically use water to clean the lens that any regular dry cloth will essentially start to peel it right off the bat. Did not take weeks, it took a few days for me to notice that the quality was poor. And their manager will not refund the money you put out for a low quality coating. What a shame. It's how you lose customers. The only positive is that the glasses are covered for a one time repair. If it was good quality... would not have had an issue with it. read more

I really like this place, I use to go to Pasadena to get my glasses and I'd have to wait forever but not here, they took me in right away. Great service and the girls and guy are very patient. Caroline helped me out and all I can say is that she's very knowledgeable. If you want High End glasses this is the place to go, easy to find right next to Macy's and they have a variety of prescription and sunglasses. I actually got my glasses pretty quick, love them! BEST eye exam experience I've ever had! I was previously at lens crafters and NEVER AGAIN will I ever go back there!!!! The people here at Jeffrey kleinman Vision Center are seriously the best! The employees here were very nice and welcoming. The doctor was nice and always asked if I had any questions and answered any of my questions and concerns in detail. On the contrary! The doctor I saw was friendly and professional. I needed to see about replacing my husbands prescription sunglasses he purchased there. He recently lost them at the airport. Yes the 1st reviewer is right.....Staff sucks......Well some of them.....I got my lenses there since lenscrafters lenses were 2x as much. I have my own glasses and needed lenses only. Well the lenses were 70 bucks....Once in place I asked to have the glasses adjusted........The young girl didnt measure me and made them worse......seemed like she was doing me a favor(not).....I just bought lenses that cost them all of 5 dollars and they cant measure me for a good fit..........they need to learn the word customer service.........5 stares for prices though if you only need 1 service......I had my eyes checked there also 2 years ago but used a free lens crafters coupon they sent me for that.........Their glasses are way over priced.......... Check ebay for the glasses. There are some reputable dealers there for frames. read more

First of all I like to say I'm 65 years old and was diagnosed with keratoconus at the age of 18 years old. Thru the years my vision was getting worse especially on my right eye due to the keratoconus. I have always used RGP lenses and I was never really comfortable with them. My vision has gotten so bad that without lenses I'm diagnosed legally blind. Recently after ten years with my old optometrist, she took pregnancy leave and never returned. So now I had to search for a optometrist that can handle keratoconus. We'll after searching and reading many credentials on the web, I chose Dr. Jennifer Khem at the Eye People Optometry. I have to say God really blessed me cause what a incredible Doctor. Dr. Khem talked me into getting scleral lenses and I was very hesitate at first, and the first time I tried them on it was a feeling like no other. Dr. Khem got me to see from 20/150 on my right eye to 20/40 and 20/70 on my left eye to 20/25 both eyes I can see 20/20 I call her the magician cause she creates magic. I've had many doctors thru the years and nobody I had can touch Dr. Khem in professionalism, knowledge, and just a very nice doctor. She is very passionate about her job. I would tell anyone who has keratoconus to go see Dr. Khem you won't regret it. Everyone at the Eye People Optometry are very nice also. read more
