Dr. Leang is the BEST! She is very caring and professional. Her office uses the latest equipment to ensure vision examinations are as accurate as possible and the selection of frames is extensive, everything from basic frames to high end designer frames. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating. Even though my family has to drive quite a distance to see her, its well worth the drive because Dr. Leang doesn't cut corners or rush you to move on to the next patient. It's the best feeling when you finally find a clinician that you're happy with.   I've been seeing an optometrist for over 35 years.  Inherited the horrible vision of my father and started wearing glasses when I was 12 years old.  Started with the pink rimmed and pink tint (aka Sally Jesse Raphael) glasses and finally moved to contact lenses.   I was lucky, after many attempts in the Tustin area, to find Dr. Leang as my forever optometrist.   I first went to Dr. Leang in 2020. My work schedule is hectic so I couldn't find a time in 2021 that worked (and went to another optometrist that I was NOT happy with) and was lucky enough to get an appointment in 2022 that worked for me! Dr. Leang and her staff are AMAZING!  When you call, most likely you'll speak with Anne (Dr. Leang's sister).  Anne is so friendly, helpful, patient and will help schedule an appointment around your schedule.   You'll see Anne answering phones, scheduling appointments, filling out paperwork, vacuuming and taking patients back to the treatment room.   She keeps the office running, along with the Dr. Leang. If you're a new patient, make sure to get there early to fill out the paperwork.   There are about 6-8 patient chairs, a nice collection of glasses for you to try on and order and the clinic is very clean.    Once you fill out the paperwork, an assistant will take you to the back and perform two tests.  One is for x-rays on your eyes and the other is where you look into a device and see the little red house.   This takes less than 10 minutes.   After waiting for a few minutes, I then saw Dr. Leang.   She is very thorough.  I don't know the names of all the devices, but she used 4 plus a thermometer-looking device that detects glaucoma.   Very new, state of the art devices.  This portion takes about 25 minutes. My insurance, luckily, covered the eye exam and 4 boxes of contact lenses.   From start to finish, I spent about 45-minutes.   Dr. Leang is friendly, very smart and will take the time to explain things to you.   She works 3 days a week, so make sure you get on her schedule asap.   Stop looking for an optometrist and come see Dr. Leang! read more

The eye doctors are good thats the only reason i will continue to go there but the rest of that place is ridiculous. My glasses weren't processed for weeks because apparently they only have 1 person to do the job and that person was out. Then when i did pick up my glasses i had no case to put them in ans they were going to sell me one. Like u just cant give me one. Anyway. read more

Very pleased with the excellent customer service and care provided by the staff. They were able to fix my brother's glasses (frames were bent out of shape and slightly crooked) and order him a back-up pair. The eye exam performed by Kelly was very professionally done and all of the staff were helpful and courteous. They have a wide range of frames to choose from. For the first time in years, I left home (San Jose) without a spare pair of contact lenses. And for the first time in years, I lost one. Crap. Called my optometrist and got the prescription, then called Eye World, the first place nearby on Yelp, and asked them if they could get me a pair. Didn't hear back after two hours so called again, and then they still didn't have a price for me. Went in person to check-in and see about them... and they charged me $25 for a trial pair that they had in my prescription. They saved me from wearing glasses for the next three days, which is great... but it was definitely not a quick smooth transaction, seemed a bit haphazard, and $25 felt a little steep for trial pairs they didn't pay for. I'm grateful... but not blown away. read more

Been coming here for years! :) Dr. Helene Leang has always been an honest, well-educated, and helpful optometrist for me and I'll continue going here. I like how I'm in and out in usually 1/2 an hour! Great selection of frames and contacts too! The staff here was so kind! I dropped my glasses in the car and my lens popped out. Luckily, I was right next to their office and they were able to fix it for me in a matter of minutes. They aren't my primary optometrist but they treated me like I was one of their patients. They put real care into fixing some random stranger's glasses. I love Dr. Leang! I have very complicated vision and it seems like every time I go to Costco to get my prescription filled I can't see out of my glasses or contacts. The only reason I went to Costco was because they take my insurance spectera. I decided to come back to Dr. Leang and pay out of my own pocket. My prescription was different than what Costco gave me. I also have to get new glasses made which within 3 months Costco was able to redo it at no charge. This is the second time where I've gone to Costco optometrist and had been given the wrong prescription. From now on with or without insurance I'm only going to Eye World Optometry. For contacts very few people can fit you for duette contact by synergy and I've been wearing these for the last three to four years and have perfect near and far distance vision. I usually don't write reviews but I felt it was necessary to warn others about this business. I was a customer for about 8 years and they have received a LOT of business for me continually purchasing my contacts through them and coming in for yearly exams. This past month has been hectic, I have been working long days and I have two children 3years and 9 months. I purchased two single contacts from them to hold me over until the next eye exam (which is "mandantory"). I missed my appointment and called to reschedule for this week. They said they cannot give me my single pair of lenses until that appointment. I am now almost blind. I have terrible vision and cannot function without my contacts. I now have to call out of work this week until my next appointment on Friday with a new optometry office. I have been extremely inconvinenced after being a loyal customer for 8+ years. The doctor is great, but the people who "run" the office are consistently lazy and do not know how to properly run a business. Find a more professional office to invest your money in, this place is a joke! read more

Not happy with this place, they gave us the wrong prescription, they don't return calls and they do not accept the facts that they are not good at what they do. The wrong prescription twice is not OK! On top of it all they just try and up charge anywhere they can. read more

I was very happy with the prescriptions, I think the best prescriptions I ever have gotten.Dr. Leang knows much about dry eyes, and helped me understand how dry eyes are caused by the oil film on the eyeball, as well as the tears that are behind the oil. If you have little oil, the tears evaporate. The exams are a little more expansive, but you come out a lot more informed than most other places. Recommended. read more

First time I came, Dr. Leang gave me way too strong a prescription so I never wore the eyeglasses I bought from her. Second time I came (two years later), I needed an updated prescription to purchase frames from an outside company. Her handwriting was illegible enough for the company to misunderstand the prescription she wrote, therefore producing glasses that were not my correct prescription. I had to send the glasses back to be redone. Other optometrists do the eyeglass and contact lens exam together for the same copay price that I paid her for doing only the eyeglass exam. She charges extra for a separate contact lens exam. Quality of service, care, and friendliness also merit one star. Learned my lesson. Will not be returning. read more

Dr. Leang is very honest, sincere, knowledgeable and she is straight forward with her patients. The office is clean, organized and they have a good selection of glasses to choose from. The staff is amazing they greeted me when I waked in and promptly assisted me. Alejandra assisted me with the selection of my glasses and thanks to her honesty I was able to pick a pair.
