Despite being a customer for the last 5+ years, i still cannot give them positive reviews. I remember when i first started coming that there was a girl i really liked, unfortunately she moved due to school. The only girl i really like now is Heena, but she only works weekends. The only reason i still come here is for convenience... WHY 1 *? 1. They are overpriced! I pay $65/3 months for upper lip and chin service. These girls have no idea what the chin or upper lip is. I see so many left over hairs, and when i request nicely to have it removed they reply that its not part of the chin/upper lip. Sometimes they only remove chin hair that is visible, other days they remove the one all the way at the bottom close to your neck. They work on my chin/upper lip for 3 mins the max. It also hurts, so by the time i am done, my skin is very red and the next day i have blisters. 2. UNSANITARY! They only use anti bacterial after each customer, and after they touch money or the machine to check you out and they don't use anti bacterial after. HAIR HAIR HAIR....These girls have loooooong hair! And i don't understand why they can never put it up! Sometimes i can feel their hair touching my hands and my face! read more

although the girls who work on my eyebrows are different every time, my experience has improved by a lot. everyone is way nicer and they don't demand a specific tip amount anymore. i do miss my threading shop back home in cerritos/artesia because reyna's the best there ever was.... i was able to use my membership at eyebrow plus a total of 4 times. it did break down to pretty a inexpensive service (less than $16) each time + tip. the openness still bothered me though, i saw people stopping to watch the action. the last girl i went to encouraged me to renew my membership, and i'm glad that i didn't, since they picked up and left. read more

I have a list of reasons on why this place is less than pleasant, but I will just say that they always have a long wait. There is only one girl who is pleasant and does a good job and I forget her name since I don't think they have name tags. They can't seem to get the fact that they need to staff for their busy times. At peek times they would only have 1 or maybe 2 girls working! The only good experience I had was the first experience, which is why I got the membership.. oops! It looks nice and attractive compared to the other places in the mall, but I would try and find another neighborhood spot because the wait time is ridiculous. I actually waited 45min!!!! at one time because I kept on putting it off when I see one girl working and no place to sit in there waiting area. If this problem is fixed I would comeback despite other minor cons. read more

I used to go to a threading studio in Burlingame but it just became more convenient to get my brows done after I shopping. I've visited this location three times (and the one in Tanforan twice). I did the math and it was actually worth it for me to buy the membership and I allowed them to sucker me in. The first time I went to eyebrow plus, Pooja did my threading and she did a great job- a perfect shape and an almost pain-free experience, compared to my previous threader. I've gone back twice with randoms and I feel like they weren't very good at following the shape of my brows, and now they are getting too thin. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned find someone you like and stick to them. I will be hunting Pooja down at Tanforan and sticking to her. I'm glad they decided to convert to a more private space. The nice thing about this location is that they have a tip jar. So you can drop in whatever you feel like giving and no one will notice. I only had $1 on me the other day and I didn't feel guilty dropping it in all folded up! ;) read more

Don't ever try to deal with corporate customer service. They are awful. Be warned that the cancellation needs to be in writing and early. I have been going here to get my eyebrows threaded for two years. The workers always made my eyebrows look really nice. Today, I went to get my brows cleaned up and there was a new worker. My intuition told me she'd mess up my eyebrows and I was right. She completely ruined my right eyebrow, now it looks shapeless. Also, the front part to the right side doesn't look straight, my eyebrows look too thin, and they look short. I'm very disappointed and will be trying a new threading place. read more

Absolutely the worst place to get facial/eyebrow threading done unless you are loaded. Three month pass costs $155 for face threading in this place while the other place in this mall it costs $100. The customers appear to be only workers' friends and get preferential treatments. But if you want to get it done quickly with higher fee, then this is the place for you since you don't need to wait and it is empty. read more

It took me a long time to grow my brows out since I overplucked them as a teenager, and now I'm looking at another few years of lame eyebrows, that are not even remotely symmetrical. I first came to eyebrow plus several years ago when I moved back to SF and it was a convenient little stand by the escalator. That was probably in 2009. Back then they had the 3 month membership, which is when you could choose which service you wanted. And while the prices have gone up a little, which makes sense to adjust over time, it's still inexpensive. Right now it is $65 for lip and eyebrows, which is not bad when I can come as often as I please in those three months. This location in the mall is easy to get to if I'm shopping here. Do a little shopping, stop in for an easy clean up. And I haven't found that there's a long wait, there was usually 3 or 4 people working there on the weekends. Overall, for the inexpensive price and the convenience, it's a good spot. And the ladies working there are usually really nice. read more

Threading skills are not that good, but the women are very nice. Although my main problem with this place is that they double charged me for a membership. The woman who did it called me and told me this, so I went back the next day to fix everything. The one who did it was not there and so the manager called the owner. The owner did not want to give me the money back since I did not have proof. I showed them my bank statement on my phone and still refused to give it. The manager did end up giving me the money for the extra charged membership. Since that happened I did not care to go back. read more

I have been getting my eyebrows done for the past few years at the Brow Boutique in my hometown in Orange County. I have been going to school at San Francisco State and my thick eyebrows can be hard to tame on my own. So I decided to try this eyebrow threading place in Stonestown, since I heard threading was more gentle than waxing. So I decided to pay the $15 to get my eyebrows done (I normally paid 30 at the brow boutique), and they look so horrible! Not only does threading hurt more than waxing, my beautiful thick eyebrows are now as thin as Pamela Anderson's! I stressed to the girl I wanted to keep my eyebrows thick, and she said not to worry. I knew I was in trouble though when she said that I had no arch and she was going to make one. They look so wretched. I have very strong facial features and need a thick brow to balance my large nose/cheeks. I don't even look like myself anymore.. My eyebrows are now only about 3 hairs thick at the ends.. This place was the worst beauty decision I've ever made! I've learned my lesson that you get what you pay for. And for $15 you get 'one size fits all' brows that only look good on models and pixie faced girls. I only hope that my eyebrows grow back and I don't have these horrible stencil-thin brows forever.. MY POOR BROWS HURT MAN. The service was bad. I am giving you service, at least give me one smile, but no. I was there for about 10 minutes and all I got was sour puss faces. By the time she got to my eyebrows, she yanked them so hard, I thought my head was gonna be threaded too. Eyebrows were clean in the end, but geez, they were red and sore for hours after. It was a great deal having paid $40 for unlimited brow threading for 3 months, however, it is a 50 /50 chance that they'll get it done just the way I like it, and I don't like that everything is done out in the open for people to stare at me.......what if I had a boogar in my nose? I guess then I wouldn't care so much but I'd like the option of privacy.The problem I had was that while I was paying for my brows the lady was thoughtful enough to tell me that I had a mustache and that I should get it threaded....really? Everywhere I've gone to get a waxing has told me quite the opposite, and I thought it was normal to have peach fuzz.......I felt a lot better when I went there several times throughout the month to hear them tell 40 other clients that they also had mustaches when I clearly saw nothing! I was in dire need for my eyebrows to be done. I usually go to a place in San Jose but sometimes I can't go down all that often. I was at the mall roaming around until I saw this place. There were 2 people working and no one waiting. So I decided to go for it. I've always been skeptical of the kiosks in the mall just because I feel that quality might be lacking but I was totally wrong with this place. I came in, signed myself in and waiting in the waiting area. After 5 mins I was seated and taken care of. It had been a while since my last threading appointment so there was quite a bit of hair. The lady told me about their membership card that was $40 for unlimited 3 months of threading (and included this service). Score! My eyebrows looked uh-ma-zing. Beautiful. Clean. The right shape. LOVED my experience. Will have to come back now that I am a member! read more

It's because the lady who used to do my brows, etc. is apparently MIA and I keep hearing different reasons why she hasn't been around. I even called the other stores to see if she's been working there and I get a different answer every time. WTH??!?? I have a new lady who helps me but isn't as good as my other one; it's only a matter of time til she prob disappears too :/ Also, the ppl here at this place rush you. Sometimes there's only one person working, another customer comes in and tells them to wait 5 mins only, when she's barely started on me! Don't waste your time here. One star is more than generous for this place. I have been coming here since last year and usually the girl that is there only on the weekends threads my brows. She does an amazing job as it is painless and she creates a nice shape and arch. My visit today and previously proved otherwise. It was not the same girl but another added staff member. Brow threading was extremely painful leaving small red blisters on my eye lid. Also, the girl did not shape my brows as asked multiple times. Fou hours have passed and still my eye lids are swollen even after applying ice and cold compress. Don't go here unless you want damaged skin after threading. read more

Worst experience with my eyebrows, the "Professional" did not seem to know what she was doing, she thinned out my eye brows to the point of no return, i only asked her to make my eyebrows more round -_-" now i'm left with super thin uneven eyebrows. My left eyebrow is about a 3mm lower and thinner than my right eyebrow thanks to them. I'm going to have to walk around with my bangs hiding my right eyebrow for months now! who knows how long it will take for them to grow back. Terrible. The only reason they get more than one star is that one of the workers tried to help after the other messed up. First up, the threader didn't even ask what i wanted. Isn't that essential? She just came at me with the thread and I had to stop her! I then told her i wanted to keep my nice, angular eyebrow shape and just needed a clean up; to which she mumbled something (idk what). When she finished one brow she handed me the mirror. EEK!! she made my brow a half circle, i looked surprised even after the initial surprise of seeing my f*cked-up eyebrow. I asked WTF and said I would rather have the other employee finish my threading. The next lady was very nice and acknowledged that the brow needed fixing. She tried her best but in the end there wasn't much she could do. When I got home and the redness had gone down i noticed that the bad brow had wounds. I currently have three puncture like marks under my eyebrow. One of them actually started bleeding this morning! (2 days after the brow beat down) On top of all that: she missed some hairs! The first time I came here, it was great. They shaped my eyebrows beautifully, and the next time I went back, I got the membership card for $40. The time after that, the person literally cut my eyebrow open, which was extremely painful, and didn't shape my brows well, but the following time, the job was well done. So they have a so-so track record. But the most recent time I came in, they told me that they could not serve me because my membership card only included Mondays through Thursdays, and if I wanted weekend service then I would have to pay $20 more. I was kind of upset because no one ever told me this, even when buying the card, and I'd come in on many weekends before, and they served me without objection. Also, the sign advertising their membership card says "UNLIMITED VISITS" right there underneath the price. Excluding weekends is a huge limitation. They then said that they were changing the rules of the membership card, and that the old sign was still on display. So??? You can't sell someone a product and then change the terms and conditions without notifying your customers. I'd understand if the terms were different when buying a new card with the new terms, but this was ridiculous, especially because weekends are usually the only time that I'm able to come in. After saying all that, the woman finally agreed to serve me just for that day, and the threading was only OK. I might just go back to tweezing. read more

I did NOT buy the membership because I knew I would never return. I live in SF but I visit my parents frequently in the east bay. I usually ALWAYS go to Threads in Dublin but they are closed on Monday and that's the only time I happened to be in the area. Desperate, I decided to try this place. I paid $15 as opposed to the $10 I usually pay at Threads. The lady hurt me SO BAD!!! I've been getting my eyebrows done every 3 weeks for at least 3 years now and I've never had it be so painful. On top of that, she asked "do you trim your eyebrows at home?" and I said "no" because my 10 dollars at Threads gets me the shaping, thinning out and trimming as well as a face massage. Even after asking, she didn't trim them. She didn't thin them out either. Afterward, there was no soothing face massage to calm my skin but rather, she sprayed something onto a tissue and dabbed my forehead for 2 seconds and off I went. She had that look like "Where's my tip?" but for the first time EVER I didn't tip someone. I usually always tip, even if it's not an awesome experience. I left fuming. I literally called my mom and complained for 10 minutes. Pissed me off. I'm going to have to go to the east bay and pay $10 to get them re-done dispite the fact it hasn't even been a week. They look that bad. Luckily, Threads in Dublin is always a good experience so at least I won't leave as bitter as I did from Eyebrow Plus. read more
