I miss Sanjita. I usually go on Saturdays and the new person who does the threading (don't remember her name unfortunately) is really good. I thought I won't miss Sanjita too much but then I went on a Tuesday. There was a different person (apparently there are multiple people doing different days) and she was not good at all. Everytime I get my eyebrows threaded by anyone for the first time, I let them know that I want to keep it thick, so only shape it. I did the same with her and then she started threading. She asked me to check after she was done, telling me my left eyebrow is grown well enough. After looking in the mirror, I told her what's wrong with it(pretty much everything) and she told me how I should look in the mirror because of the ways my eyebrows are etc etc. I told her that I know my eyebrows and I want her to make them look equal and she argued forever. Eventually she shaped 1 of them, asked me to look again - of course they were still not completely done. She missed hair everywhere, especially between the eyebrows. She didn't trim them well. Botchy job through and through. Even the upper lips had hair left after she was done and asked me to look and check. When I got annoyed, she tells me that she's been doing her job for 4 years apparently and never had such a problem. I told her I have had my eyebrows shaped for 10 years and never had such a problem either, ha! I've been going to eyebrow shapers for 2 years- most loyal customer - never had a problem. Never had to tell Sanjita ot the other person what to do and how to do it. Even after all this, she just wouldn't admit she messed up, kept telling me I don't understand or listen to her (when she wouldn't listen to me for 1 second) and that I kept telling her what to do (by asking her to keep them thick initially, as I mentioned). What a major mood spoiler. I finally got everything fixed and all extra hair cleaned (took a couple back and forths!!!) - but what a pain. I'll continue going here because they are awesome. Just stick to Saturdays. read more

I love this little place! It's very reasonably priced ($12 for eyebrow threading), there's never any line, and quite fast! I am always in and out in less than ten minutes! I always have to thank my dad for making me so hairy... (sarcastic much, I think not) I mean on one hand, I am happy I can at least grow eyebrows and don't have to draw them in. (Chola status) On the other hand, I hate seeing these fury trolls every other week. So in order for them to be on "fleek", I gotta come here. It's convenient, right across the job so I can get them on my lunch break. They last a bit longer than waxing. I've got these eyebrows that are a-okay. They keep things from floating into my eyeballs, and they're not particularly striking or bushy. They're somewhat naturally rounded into a clean-ish shape, which is fine with me. But sometimes I'd like a bit of coveted, sassy arch, and I lack the skills to communicate this effectively to brow shapers. This is where The Eyebrow Shapers comes in. Somehow, the nice woman business owner of this shop took a string of thread and developed my nondescript eyebrows into ones I only dreamed of. Slightly arched, still natural and 'my beauty style', and can I say CLEAN! Never before had I needed to wipe off that much face fuzz post-brow threading. It was great. Loved the results. 5 Stars! I have been coming to Eyebrow Shapers for the last two years after finding it in Yelp and realized that it's time to give back to other reviewers. The location is convenient, free parking, close to all kinds of stores in case you have more than threading in mind. The convenient parking and reasonable wait time made me choose this threading place to another one at the Mission (Rani threads Magic), although I have found both to be very good. Sanjita did a pretty good job on my eyebrows every time. I now see new women running the store and they have been very good too. Rose is fast but precise, doesn't rush, is very polite and welcoming. I am not very good about being consistent with threading but she remembered me from 2 months ago and recalled our conversation! Cons: slow and painful. She pushes really hard on your eyebroes. Not as fast and light like my usual place in San Jose. Not as clean of a job like I usually get at Khoobsurat in SJ. I tried this place out last Tuesday, August 20. The girl was sweet and my eyebrows are shaped pretty nicely, but she cut me all over my face. This was my first time getting threaded, so at first I thought it just felt like that. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for a little over a decade and over the years have had nearly every type of experience one can expect out of that sort of sample size. Chunks missing, skin ripped off, one shorter than the other, over done, under done, I've seen it all, so believe me when I say this place is PERFECT. Not only is she super nice but she also has a light hand, so it doesn't hurt too much, but she's still getting in there and actually getting all the hairs (even the liiiittlest ones that everyone usually misses). It's been a little while since I went and my eyebrows still look great with no tweezing on my end. She shapes beautifully and takes her time to really get what works best for your face and you can't complain about the pricing here. It's way cheaper than a lot of the other SF options. Overpriced and under-experienced. It's a hole-in-the-wall that charges $15 for just eyebrows. The lady was nervous, she was breathing on my face, and seemed only used to cleaning but not shaping brows. I left with imbalanced brows, one thin the other thick and this is after the correction. I was afraid to let her go at it a second time, so I paid and left. Now I need to purchase an eyebrow pencil. read more
