The rep called the morning of my appointment to say my insurance wasn't valid. I am sure they just wrote the number down wrong, because I just got it verified yesterday at another physician's office. Very disappointed after my grandmas appointment today. The girl named Aja huffed and puffed, while also shaking her head and rolling her eyes any chance she got while doing my grandmother's testing. Very unprofessional if you ask me. An 85 year old woman is not going to get everything on the first try and also most likely will not move as efficiently as others. Learn some patience and have a little respect for elders, as you work in a field that involves patients of ALL ages. As we were being checked out by this person, another colleague of hers was waiting very patiently to show her a paper... She turns around and says "sorry" with a sigh, as if we were inconveniencing her?! read more

We have used Eyecare center in Sanford and will continue to because we really like Dr Lam. However we had a very unpleasant encounter with the girl who is apparently in charge in the frames area. My exam showed that my vision had improved some and my husband's had remained consistent. When she asked if we had chosen new frames yet I told her that we would not be getting new glasses. She immediately started talking to us as though we were total idiots. She asked "well what if you break your glasses?" I didn't feel I owed her an explanation so I simply repeated that we would not be getting new glasses today she continued berating us stating that the new glasses would be free while glaring at us like we were total idiots. I realize that our insurance allowance would pay for frames, however, I know from experience that my lens prescription would make the glasses quite expensive. Someone really needs to tell this girl to adjust her rude know it all attitude. Or find a job where she is not dealing with the public. read more

Mixed review....Dr. was very pleasant and professional; however, employee working with a couple of customers during the checkout process was very rude and loud. She attempted to guilt the customers into purchasing eyeglasses through their office and would not hand over a copy of the prescription to them when asked to do so. I really felt bad for the customers she was interacting with. read more

I fell and badly scratched my glasses on an April Friday afternoon. As I was applying ice to my face, I called an eye center near me. They said they could fit me in, in AUGUST! My daughter suggested this Eyecare Center, where she goes. I called, and they gave me an appointment for Tuesday! The staff was very gracious and thorough. Dr Lam was super nice and performed several diagnostic screenings. I have seen larger displays of frames but I was able to find a nice pair. It will take about two weeks for my new glasses, so it's fortunate that I have an old pair that will carry me through. I definitely recommend this center for your eye care needs! read more

My mother when in this morning to pick up her glasses and she doesn't know English like that and they were really rude to her about it

My first time at the eye care center from walking in the door to leaving everyone was absolutely great . Very professional and knowledgeable everyone was so friendly the Dr was great and made me feel very comfortable the entirety staff never made me feel rushed.
