I bought my glasses here about 18 months ago. Yesterday mo6I woke up to find a broken ear piece. I took them back to this store and found that my protection plan was expired and they no longer carry that frame. The person who was helping me took my glasses to her manager to see if he could repair them. where do I start? This place is absolutely the worst. I had an appointment a couple of months ago and I was sitting in the lobby waiting to be seen with my husband and they canceled our appointments while we were sitting there because of some computer glitch so I went back today and had an appointment at 10:45 and I was still sitting in the waiting room for 50 minutes nobody came out to talk to me. I had to find out from the receptionist that the doctor was running behind. The customer service at this store is absolutely unbearable. I went in about three weeks ago now to get a new eyeglass perscription and they gave me a completely innacurate perscription. I ordered glasses off of Zenni with the perscription they gave me and it was blurry. I gave it a few days but then compared them to my old glasses and my old glasses were so much clearer and sharper. I had historically gone to Walmart Vision Center for prescriptions and never had a problem with them. I tried Eyeglass World this time because Eyeglass World quoted $10 cheaper than Walmart Vision. Was not worth the $10 difference and was a complete waste of my money and time. Thankfully Zenni let me return my two pairs and exchange them for two pairs with my old glasses perscription and I got them in the mail yesterday and the vision was perfect out of the box. The Eyeglass World appointment itself was extremely fast and it felt like they didn't work hard to get to know me or my eye needs. Found out when picking up glasses, that if you use insurance, then you don't get the 2nd frame free. I found out when i asked where the 2nd pair was. When i had exam done, they had issues with their printer and computer system. Wasn't able to get copy of receipt. Picked up glasses today. and found out i wasn't getting a 2nd pair, so i also forgot to ask about the receipt. I called thinking they can email me one. I ordered a pair of glasses from this location. When they came back, they weren't quite right. I wear progressives and the lenses weren't lining up properly with my eyes so I couldn't see. I brought them back in and not only did they correct the lenses, they let me pick an entirely different frame as I had second thoughts about the frame I originally chose. Excellent customer service! I can't say enough good things about the team that works at this Eyeglass World location.Each staff member was professional, courteous,warm,and friendly.The opthalmologist..well she was absolutely wonderful.Raphael was the assistant who was extremely patient in assisting me when choosing my frames(I had been in the week prior and one of the frames was missing,yet he was diligent in trying to not only help locate it but find one similar).He was extremely personable and I spent an extra 15 minutes just chatting with him because he is such an interesting person.I would DEFINITELY recommend this location to ANYONE looking for eyeglasses and an exam.I was able to get two pairs,and an exam at a reasonable price. read more

I had an appointment at the Goodyear Arizona store on February 7th. I have received my new eyeglasses and the contact lenses for my right eye, and am still waiting for the lenses for my left eye. I have been into the store multiple times and have been told that they are on backorder. I have been told repeatedly that "someone" will follow up and call me. I have not received even 1 phone call. It is March 15th, still no word from anybody. I would not recommend using this location. There doesnt seem to be anyone interested in assisting me with this issue. I have been getting my eye exams at this location for a couple of years. Not sure what the issue is now, maybe the current staff? Anyone else have issues with eyeglass world. read more

I wish i could give this location negative stars. They promote same day glasses. Ive waited two weeks for a simple script. I was told next day to be ready at 1pm , i stopped in and they were not. They stated I would get a text. Two days later I did. Script was way wrong, that was a Thurs. The following Tues i called to see if ready, i was told they would call back, never happened. I called 3 times Weds and only to finally find out that they completely dropped the ball and it would be another 5 days for them to be ready. 3 weeks! For same day glasses. UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, and CONDESCENDING..... three words to describe CLAUDIA at Eyeglass World on 35th Ave & Peoria. We can in on a Saturday after returning from an international flight where my wife had gotten something in her eye on the way home. We tried to flush her eye before deciding we needed the help of a professional. We called as soon as we had service after landing and the person on the phone said as long as we were in before 4:30 that she would be seen by the doctor. We were greeted by Claudia in the optometrist area. If LACK of customer service had a name it would be Claudia. She was rude, condescending and all around unpleasant and unprofessional. I hope that management had a talking to with Claudia about her attitude. I do not recommend this place based on our interaction with Claudia. read more

I was told that I wouldn't be charged for my 2nd eye lens additions (blue light, anti-reflective, etc.) because it is 100% blind in my right eye, but was still charged for it. I called and asked about it, and was spoke to like I was an idiot on the phone and told that they have to do it to both lenses because of "a law" even though I was told that is not the case and that I would not be charged for it. I even went to a different Eyeglass World location where the man looked at my receipt and told me that I shouldn't have been charged for all of that, and that they essentially scammed me. The location in Scottsdale had to give me a complete refund for the service I received in Peoria because they stated "that is never an experience that you should have with us". I went to go pick up my glasses after this, and they gave me a lens based on both of my eyes, even though I clearly stated multiple times that my right eye is 100% blind. The man up front told me that I wasn't blind in my right eye, which I can assure you I am completely as my optical nerve in my brain was never developed on that side. The glasses were extremely blurry and unusable, and I was told that it was my fault because I'm a "special case" and that I'd have to wait multiple days for them to fix the issue. I was also lied to and told that I would receive a case with the glasses, which I did not. The audacity of this place to tell ME that I am not blind in the eye that I was born blind in, and to mess up my prescription (which no other eyeglass place has EVER done), then double charge me, and then BLAME ME for it makes me absolutely livid. When I asked for a refund, the man up front was extremely rude and basically asked me to leave and come back tomorrow and speak to a manager. read more

Please, for the love of God, don't let the 2 for $78 fool you. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had at an "optometrist" office I have ever had. I made appointments for my two kids, 16 and 13. I called ahead of time and they said they accepted my insurance, so I was cool with that too. After an extended wait, phone call to my insurance company finding out that they are not in-network and getting no acknowledgement of our existence when walking in, my first child was finally seen. The doctor at the first appointment was fairly nice and explained everything to my 13 year old. She ended up wanting contacts so we had to make a return visit, which is understandable because we did not initially book a contact fitting appointment. The second was for my 16 year old son and that went fairly smooth as well. Since we had so much time before the appointment, my 16 year old had enough time to pick out the frames he wanted. For some strange reason the 2 for $78 turned into one for $161. I get that I got the poly lenses, and anti glare, but it just doesn't add up. We returned a week later to pick up the completed glasses and also for the contact lens appointment. My son immediately said that his right eye was blurry. The sales associate said that she believed he needed more time to have his eye get used to the new prescription. The sales associate ended up saying they were made incorrectly after checking with the lab. They wanted us to return a week later, we had driven 40 minutes each way. I explained that I wanted a refund and the manager said that they could get them done in 20 minutes. For my 13 year old daughter's contact lens fitting, the lady, I believe her name was Cammie, was rude and told me to leave the room. I get that you have trained people in the past how to put on contacts, but I believe 1) parent supervision is necessary and 2) parents guidance can help when someone so young needs help. I have been wearing contacts for 22 years, my pointers can assist as well. I waited until my daughter was alone until the room to check her status and was told that the pressure of me being there wouldn't help yet there were two people "assisting" her. Needless to say, nearly two weeks later and my daughter still doesn't know how to put her contacts in. read more

I've only been to the store on periora, so I can't speak for the other locations. But I've gotten glasses 2x at this specific location. The first time was an ok visit, bc I got blessed with the only woman that knew how to do her job. The second time around was a horrible experience. These guys had no idea what they were doing. They were extremely rude and unhelpful. They make you feel stupid, for a mistake they made. I ordered 2 pairs of different glasses. They came back with 2 pair of the same glasses. So I have to wait another 2 weeks. Granted I realize ppl are human and make mistakes. But these ppl had very poor costumer service skills. They never call you when your glasses arrive. Thats 2x now. You have to call several times to get any helpful response. Unfortunately I have to give this store a not so good review bc my experience the last time around was very dissatisfying. read more

I should've read the reviews before I went. I've been to this location several times over the past 5 years. I always got the 2 for 89 special and it comes out to like $110 without transitioning lenses cool. So I go there the other day, the doctor was wonderful as everyone pointed out. But after sitting in there and reading the reviews I had to get prepared. I have insurance that pays for eye exams and up to 250.00 toward glasses. You cannot get the 2 pair special using your insurance even though they'll cover it. So I found some frames for $99 you would think I would have the other $150 to go towards another pair. Nope they can't do that. You can get the first pair on your insurance and pay 40% off the second. Ok cool how much it's gonna be. Now I usually spend more because I get transitioning lenses HOWEVER I went to visit works last year and got everything plus transitioning lenses for like $70 extra. How are the glasses cheaper at Eyeglass world and I still have to come out of pocket when I got more expensive glasses at vision works and came out of pocket less. Make it make sense. No disrespect to the employees because they're just doing their job. read more

On 35th Peoria Eye Doctor was great did her job in and out I went in and Allen called me over I had my Glasses I asked is 3 hrs long enough oh sure ok so as he was helping me he was interrupted because someone needed help ok that's fine I thought then I said ok I'm aBus Driver and I need Anti Glair n my Glasses and I'm progressive s wide ok then interrupted again and then again and the 2 more times I wanted to walk out but I didn't so then I was told to pick up my glasses in 3 days not next day like advertised But ok anti glare takes longer So I go in and get them here you go by see you later not how did they fit So I go to work I'm like no anti glare no Progressive and I went back-in and said they had no anti glare and they don't fit right I can check them she said there's no order for anti glare WOW he was to busy helping others and forgot about what I said so I had to buy another pair 200.00 again this was all along bad So these glass was do 3 days but didn't get them til 2 weeks later NEVER WILL I TELL ANYONE TO GO THERE THANKS FOR READING !!!! read more

So I am a little torn on my experience rating. If it was based on just the optometry visit it would most definitely be five star. The receptionist was great and Dr. Leah was awesome but once I left the optometrist office and walked into the Eyeglass World showroom it quickly went down hill. First, they advertise 2 pairs for various prices depending on quality and style. Second, the girl that helped me wasn't very happy, she wasn't rude or anything it was just obvious she didn't want to help me. They have hundreds of frame choices, it's almost overwhelming. I opted for a single pair of designer frames that had a price of $159.95. Once I started to order the person helping me said it would be better to order my contacts and pay half price for my glasses. I usually pay for my contacts it's cheaper for me to order through Costco, but today I took her advice. Ok. My husband has excellent health benefits through his employer. Imagine my surprise when she quoted me almost $300. Huh? Well your glasses are $159 with insurance $40 for contact exam and since your insurance will only pay $105 for your contacts that's another $59 plus the extra coating to the lenses. Wait. My insurance will pay up to $150 just for frames. Single vision lenses with anti scratch and anti glare coating are all paid in full, no deductible. She proceeded to tell me the price on the glasses is half of the actual price. What? Who does that? So I left with my prescription and found at Walmart Optical my contacts are $40 a box for 90 day ($80 total vs EGW $159) and the same Christian Siriano frames with lenses are $88. So my out of pocket is $80. Don't trust them. Once you have your script go someplace else. Save yourself the money and aggravation. read more

Terrible experience. I would not waste my time or money here again. I actually went and got my money back. After shelling out over 600 for two pairs of glasses I was told it would take 10 days. Ok, no big deal, the tech said it never takes 10 days though...great I thought! I should have known at that point when there was a poor woman in there trying to pick up glasses she had ordered days before and they couldn't be located that it wasn't a good sign. Fast forward to day 12 later and the rudeness of the staff on the phone, who gave me several different stories...I went and got my money back..no glasses ever made it to my face.
