Second time here and I can say it's my favorite spot to get the lashes, and eyebrows done thus far in the UWS. I came in here two weeks ago with a Groupon the lashes lasted two weeks to almost 3. Today I came in to get a refill ended up getting the brows threaded and tint and the chocolate Brazilian hands down best service the ladies are sweet and careful ! First impressions: looks like any other eyebrow threading place in the city. Clean and brightly lit. There's a sign in the window that says the workers from Touch and Glow, a place I used to go to before it shut down due to the pandemic, now work here. I didn't see my usual lady (it has been almost 2 years) but I decided to give them a try. WRONG! The worst mistake of my life!! The service: I went in for eyebrow threading... I have been diligently applying brow growth serum to my brows twice daily for 2.5 months to grow my brows in and was looking forward to finally get them reshaped. I told the lady (pictured) that I specifically wanted only to clean up the underside of my brows and that I was trying to grow them in fuller. She said ok, and then took out small scissors and started to trim my brows (this should have been red flag number one because they usually thread the brows first THEN trim afterwards) as she's trimming, the way she's trimming starts to make me nervous, so I pause her and I politely remind her that I am growing in my brows and I don't want too much trimming... ONLY clean up around the natural shape of my brows and not to thin out my brows too much. She says ok, ok. Then proceeds to trim all while she's trying to tell me that my lashes are really short and trying to upsell me lash extensions. I tell her I'm not interested because I want her to focus on what she's doing and not mess up. She proceeds to trim so much of my brows and threads my brows within an inch of their lives!!! LOOK AT WHAT SHE DID!!! I'm devastated because now not only are my brows too thin... they are CROOKED!!! Unf*ckin believeable!! Afterwards when she hands me a mirror, I start to hyperventilate (this is NOT an overreaction... any one who has had their brows messed up knows it will take MONTHS to grow them back and fix them) My brows are so messed up, and when I pointed them out to her, she tried to tell me that that's what they already looked like when I first came in. LIES!!! When I told her that I hadn't touched my brows in almost 3 months, She actually tried to blame them on me as if I was the one who messed up my own brows somehow!! In conclusion: DO NOT GO HERE. Don't even bother unless you want to spend the next three months or more, growing them in again. This is awful! I'm really, really upset at this. RUN!!! Very nice sweet staff, place is clean but very painful unexperienced messy brazilian waxing, hot wax got stuck on pubic hair, waxing lady kept going over same spot, skin was throbbing and red after couple of days, hair was also left over, bruise was left, maybe great at eyelash extensions but definitely not brazilian waxing ! I am so thrilled to find such an amazing lash expert at an affordable and incredibly clean studio not far from my home. This was my first time getting eyelash extensions, so I had no idea what to expect. Nita, my lash tech, greeted me warmly and advised me on the different lengths, styles, and volume, and made me feel so comfortable in her care. I can totally see why some people fall asleep; I used the time to get to know her better (Nita's such a lovely tech) and then took the rest of the time to meditate.
