I've been coming to the Cerritos office since 2009. I'll start with the good first. The office is always neat and clean. Their technology is very up to date as the doctor uses an iPad to control the equipment and I was able to get an "MRI" of my eyes. I've seen Dr. Bhindi (Dr. Julie) and Dr. David. Both Doctors are excellent; professional, good, and very friendly. It's always been very easy to get appointments or cancel and reschedule as needed. I've never had any problems with my prescriptions.Now the negative. I've had my current pair of glasses since October of last year. I bought those from a Filipino woman. My first visit with her was okay. My second visit, I came back to the same lady to get my frames adjusted. I'm very particular about my frames. I like them tight and high due to my profession. She attempted 3 -4x and still didn't get them the way I wanted. She got irritated and kind of mouthy stating, " Are you sure you want them tighter? They're starting to indent." I threw the attitude right back at her and explained why. Then she very rudely went to go help someone else and asked David to help me because she didn't want to deal with me anymore. It's as if she was dismissing me because she couldn't do it correctly. David was able to get them perfect on his second try. I came back again months later to get frames readjusted by someone else. As I was waiting, the Filipino lady passed by, whispered something to The receptionist and the receptionist/ girl in the front started laughing. Keep in mind I was the only customer in there at the time. I was there again earlier today to get my new prescription lenses put in by the same Filipino lady. She got our stuff from the front, put it on the tray, walked over and whispered something to To the same receptionist again, The receptionist laughed again, then the Filipino lady walked over to me and helped me. This was about 3-5feet in front of me where the customers sit to pay for their glasses & try on frames. Keep in mind, earlier she was speaking to the receptionist halfway across the room without walking up to her and whispering. Then, I was trying to decide whether to get my glasses tightened again because it's been awhile and they're a little loose but not enough to slip. She states, " No, I don't think so. They look okay to me." Then, I bagged my own lens cleaner, candy, and cloth. This Filipino woman is arrogant, condescending, lazy, and unprofessional. The previous employees here were much friendlier and professional. Keep in mind I've been coming here since 2009 without problems with anyone else until I encountered her and I've always had my glasses tight and high. I've also had more than one bad experience with this woman. Also, the prices here are ridiculous. Expect to pay roughly $400 - $500 per person with or without insurance. It's $150 for the exam and $245 for a set of polycarbonate, anti reflective, scratch resistant lenses not including a new frame. I have insurance, but used up my allowance at my last visit. I hate to give negative reviews especially when I've been coming here for years and it only takes one person to ruin it for you. I'm also not a fan of name dropping. I say Filipino lady because I think she is the only Filipino woman there, and I am also of the same ethnicity. I tried to be fair and give pros and cons. For the most part, my experiences here have been positive. It only takes one person to ruin it for you. read more

Great Service and loved the office atmosphere! I arrived early on a Saturday, love they can see me on Saturday! They got me right in and the experience was wonderful. I just visited this office today and overall had a bad experience. Let's just say I will not be coming back to this office again. It was my first time here for an annual checkup on my eye. I had high hopes as there was nothing but great reviews on yelp. I had an appointment at 10:30am on a Tuesday and they were not busy at all. But I waited an hour and I still didn't get to see the dr. I understand if it was busy but it wasn't. And I had an appointment. I did the preliminary checkup then was sent to the room to wait on the doctor. I understand waiting for a few minutes but I was literally sitting there waiting for over 30 minutes. With no one coming by to check up on me or to say it will be a few more minutes. Who knows how much longer I would have been in there if I didn't get up and leave. I had other appointments to get to and 10 minute annual check up should not take over an hour of your time. I talked to the manager and she apologized and tried to reschedule me but after this experience I will be going elsewhere. Customer service needs to be better and if you have someone with an appointment, then that person should have priority. And on another note, they offer to give you a Starbucks gift card on the spot if you write them a good review on yelp which I think seems to be pretty tacky. If people love your service, they will reward you with a good review. And if not, then this is the type of you review you get. read more

Came in for my yearly exam. I finally met Dr. Rosenblum. He's very nice and very courteous. The whole staff was nice and friendly. They have a wide selection of glasses and sunglasses and they will give you a discount as well. I can't wait to receive my new lenses. You will not be disappointed read more

I started coming here because it was the place listed on my insurance card. I had a mini emergency last month, and now I think they are awesome! So, I ripped my contact two days before I was leaving on vacation and, of course, they were my last pair! I called and got a quote for an exam and contact fitting (without insurance) and thought it was really expensive. After getting off the phone with her I called Kaiser (my health care provider) to get an estimate and it was about the same price (and it takes forever to get appointments through them). So I called the optometry I went to when I was younger and found out it was about the same price as well. I just decided to call them back and make an appointment. They got me in the very next day at the time I needed to go in. So I went in the next day (on my lunch break...they got me in and out!). Dr. Sy gave me a trial pair of contacts so I was good for my vacation! The girl at the front told me if I order my contacts that day, I would get 10% off plus the contact company had a rebate at the time. I was very hesitant because the office visit was already unexpected money, and I was about to go on vacation. She picked up on this and said very nicely that I don't have to pay the whole thing, and I can pay the rest when I pick up my order. She said I could just pay $220.00 for the day and I asked if $200.00 was okay and she said yes of course. She was super nice! Love this place!!! read more

Worst service EVER!! They won't return your call & even your glasses are ready they won't call you to tell you. The girl at the glasses section Debra helped me with the WORST attitude said all these nice things to FORCE me to buy a pair or glasses & said they can return or exchange at NO COAST. I waited 5 weeks and no one called me to tell me if my order was ready, then I called back to ask if my order was ready. I've been dealing with this problem for over 6 months.. When I was there, this Doctor was leaving & she asked the front office how much was the sale for the day & receptionist said $4500 she's like let's push it to $6000 we got this. "Keep selling". So pathetic how they're trying to rip off customers. They would promise to return my call and wouldn't after many follow ups I finally went in and said to take care of it & Suzzan promised me to have Dr David call me and guess what they still haven't called me. I'm SO frustrated Amanda the manager promised me that they will take care of but called me back & started blaming me that I didn't go in? Are you kidding me? My phone bills shows how many times I've tried calling them. They're just there to rip you off and make a sale, not help you with your vision. So my friend is an optometrist & cousin in eye care they both told me that thy can reverse me purchase but Eyesite swears that "my insurance" won't refund. SO ridiculous!!! read more

I had an appointment here a few days ago and waited to write this review after I had cooled down. I had an appointment at 3:15 and arrived at 3:10. I work at a private practice and I understand how frustrating it is to have patients arrive late because it disrupts the rest of the schedule for the day. With that said, I arrived 5 min early to my appointment. Now, I know that doctors often run late and am used to waiting a few minutes to be seen. So I took a seat and waited...and waited...and waited. At 3:50 (this is 35 minutes after my appointment time) I went up to the receptionist to see how much longer it would be. This entire time, never once did she get up and check to see why the doctor was running so late. When I asked her (I think her name was Amber? Not too sure though..) how much longer I had to wait, she rudely replied saying she didn't know and it would be a few more minutes. I told her my appointment had been at 3:15. I am sure my tone showed some of my annoyance especially as I had driven from LA after work to make it to my appointment on time! The more questions I asked her, the less patient and more rude she became. I tried to reschedule but decided to wait. A few minutes later I was taken into a room where the assistant sat me down and asked what I was here for (again) then told me to go wait outside. It was not until 4:10pm, 1 hours since I checked in and 55 minutes since my appointment time (which I was early to!) that I was seen. My low rating is mainly for the 1 hour wait time that I had and the rude attitude from both assistants. Looking at some of the other reviews on here, it seems safe to say that the assistants/staff always leave something to be desired. The optometrists are great but the wait time and the staff's attitude make me hesitant to come back. read more

This place is amazing!! Everyone working there is just wonderful. I called in on a Friday afternoon and they were able to schedule me the next day for a Keratoconus exam. Dr Sheryl gave me the most detailed and professional eye exam I have ever had. Everything was just perfect! They were able to get my Scleral Lenses within a week and final fitting within 11 days. No other optometrist had ever offered to try an initial fitting. Dr. David saw me for my first fitting and he was just amazing, his expertise in Keratoconus is spectacular his main priority is vision and comfort I just couldn't believe how comfortable the Scleral Lenses were. Having Keratoconus is a nightmare but when you find great doctors like Dr. Sheryl and Dr. David it changes your life. I cannot thank them enough for the amazing work they all do. read more

I've known Sarah from when she first started and has proven to be a wonderful asset for the whole office. They are efficient, place the patient's needs first and very understanding regarding pricing. They have a wonderful selection of frames and all of the glasses I've purchased from them fit right and have never needed an adjustment. My boyfriend and I were in search for some nonprescription halloween contact lenses to make our costumes complete. After reading horror stories of people getting retinal ulcerations and even going blind from cheap contacts, we decided an optometrist was our best bet. We were recommended this place by the Halloween Club down the street and decided to drop by. This business is clean, tastefully decorated, and full of friendly staff. We were promptly greeted by Amanda at the front desk and told her what we were in search for. Now, both my boyfriend and I do not wear glasses or contacts, nor have I ever tried on any contacts before, so we did not know what the process would entail. Unbeknownst to us, even the halloween contacts require a special order and fitting and would not be available the next day like we needed. However, Amanda took it upon herself to try and contact their sales rep to see if he had any product on hand since the company was already closed for the day. While we were sitting for a response, a lady showed up 45 minutes late for her appointment and the doctor had already left. However, the staff were still going to call the doctor and have her turn around, but the lady said it was not necessary and she would reschedule; how nice of them I thought! Unfortunately, we were not able to get a hold of their sales rep with it being so late in the day. Amanda, however, had some alternative, vibrant contacts that she could offer us. Having stabbed myself in the eyes numerous times with mascara wands, she was able to easily place different colors in so I could choose what I liked. Even my boyfriend tolerated the procedure without screaming bloody murder! Amanda really went above and beyond for us and we greatly appreciate her services. My husband and I have been coming here for about 10 yrs now, and i have to say today was by far the best experience ever!!! All thanks to Dr David! I came in (not on my reg visit) because i have a nasty infection on my right eye. I was advised that i would be charged $60 for the visit. Well as most of you know the economy is not good and with my husband recently laid off i didn't want to spend the $$ on that i was actually thinking of just sucking it up and maybe the infection would go away. But then the lovely lady in the front desk took it upon herself to ask the dr if the fee can be waived! OMG that was a blessing! I truly appreciate that big time! This place is amazing! I arrived an hour early and apparently the owner saw me going in as he was going out to lunch, so he just goes to lunch and I wait an hour right? Wrong. Dr. David has been our family eye doctor for several years. His easygoing demeanor puts you at ease and he takes the time to explain medical terms in layman's vocabulary. He is very knowledgeable about resources for strabismus and auto-immune complications. He also recommends without being pushy. not even 1 star. this is the first time that i will write a review. this clinic sucks! they are just good at first. i am very frustrated and disappointed with them! i went october 8 2016, everything went well, dr stacie is amazing. very informative and nice. it took me a while to choose a frame, they have choices but not the style i wanted. the lady who assisted me, explained that if i will order the frame i cannot return it if i will not like it in person so i was stuck with what they have in store. the process continued, she told me that glasses will be available in 3-5 days. and by the way, i also avail contact lens fitting which cost additional $70. the contact lens fitting is fast, i received a message on 10/11/16 that the lens are ready for fitting. since i do have work on weekdays i thought of going there on weekends and get the glasses as well. 10/15/16 a week passed, i called the office to ask for the glasses since i haven't receive any message. the lady said that the lens is not yet there, they did order it and haven't arrive yet but will be there on monday which is 10/17/16. i didn't follow up on monday but thursday instead 10/20/16. still not yet there and said that it will there the next monday again 10/24/16. waited for that monday, called about 10am, i was asking if it's there. still no glasses!the lady told me that the delivery will arrive later in the afternoon. i am pissed and asked to just cancel the order but i gave her a chance to provide it within the day. the manager called me about 12 noon that day saying that the glasses is not yet there though they will give a temporary one until they can provide the one i ordered. im not interested, i need the one i ordered. i dont want to waste my time to go there to pick up the temporary glasses and go back for the right one. i dont have a lot of time to do that! the manager and i had an argument because i asked for a refund. she said that they dont do refund, so i told her that i will dispute it, and she said ok? that's the kind of customer service they have in there. so rude! she also told me that i ordered a frame and that is what they are waiting for? and it will be 7-10 days. first of all, i didn't ordered a frame and then from 3-5 days now 7-10 days but actually that's the 11th day when we had the conversation. i did dispute it in the bank, then this clinic responded that they have the glasses are ready on the 9th day and informed me? wtf! bunch of liars! hope this will not happen to anyone else. btw, the glasses ain't cheap to have this kind of poor service! read more

My Optician, Madelyn Gauthier was extremely knowledgeable of all the questions I asked and also made sure I could actually see out of my glasses when I picked them up. A few years ago I asked them to put my prescription (for sunglasses) in a pair of vintage frames I bought elsewhere. They did an excellent job, so I remembered them and went back recently to get a new pair of glasses with my updated prescription. They have very cute frames to choose from at reasonable prices, and I really like that their lab is right there so I hardly had to wait. Thank you! read more
