It started at another America's Best location, where I purchased six pairs of glasses. I couldn't wear any of them because everything was blurry. After struggling with them for almost 11 months, I finally went back and asked them to recheck my prescription. I even paid for another eye exam. It turned out the original prescription was significantly wrong, which explained why none of my glasses were usable. To their credit, they agreed to replace all of the lenses. They said sorry! Unfortunately, that's when my experience with the Cerritos location became just as frustrating. When I picked up one of my repaired pairs, I immediately noticed one of the arms was crooked. As soon as I got to my car and put them on, I called the store. The employee I spoke with told me not to worry and said I could bring them back whenever I wanted. Later that day, I returned, and I was told the glasses had likely been damaged by the lab during the lens replacement process. I was assured they would replace the frame, but instead of replacing it outright, they told me I would only receive a $186 credit even though I originally paid $210 for the frame. Today I returned to resolve the issue and was helped by Rick. Unfortunately, the customer service was extremely disappointing. He was sitting on his phone when I walked in and acted as though I was interrupting him. After I explained the entire situation, his response was basically that he didn't know anything about it and that I could go pick out another pair. He never offered to walk me over, help me find a replacement, or explain the process. When I asked him to unlock a display case so I could look at a pair, he acted inconvenienced and annoyed. There was no professionalism, no empathy, and no effort to help resolve a problem that wasn't my fault. I sincerely hope management reviews the security camera footage from my visit because it clearly reflects how I was treated. This entire experience has been exhausting. First, I spent nearly a year unable to wear six pairs of glasses because of an incorrect prescription. Then one of the replacement frames was damaged during the repair process. Now I'm having to fight just to have the damaged frame replaced after being told it would be. At this point, I just want the last pair fixed so I can move on. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. The level of customer service was poor, the communication has been inconsistent, and the entire process has been far more difficult than it ever should have been.

I had a very bad experience with both Eyesite locations, Cerritos and Newport Coast, so this review will cover the poor customer service in both locations. My insurance is covered through VSP and Eyesite Optometry was listed as a provider for our area. After I had read decent reviews online, I decided to have my eye exam at the Newport Coast location. After the exam, I was told I would require two prescriptions, one for distance and one for reading/computer. Although I brought my own frames, I did look at several pairs at this location. There were a pair of Chanel frames I loved, but thought the cost was quite high. After going on my phone to look an Chanel's website and several other online stores, I found that the price at Eyesite was indeed significantly marked up. The official Chanel website listed the exact frames I liked and when I called a local Chanel store, they quoted me a retail price much lower than Eyesite had them listed for. I did have my distance prescription created with my own frames and without an issue, so I decided to return to have my second pair created as well. The second time I returned with a pair of my own frames, I was told that the computer/reading prescription was not listed on my chart and had mistakenly never been entered. I was told the doctor who I saw for my exam was out of town and would not be back until the following weekend. I asked if another doctor was present that would be able to examine my eyes, so that I could have the other lenses created. At this point, I was told that I should wait for them to hear back from the doctor that I originally saw or come back when she was back in town and have my eyes reexamined. Since I didn't want to wait another week, I contacted the Cerritos location to see if a doctor at that location would be willing to assist me sooner. I spoke with Sarah, the manager at the Cerritos store who assured me that a reading/computer prescription could be determined using my distance prescription and that should have been communicated to us at the Newport Coast store. She let me know that another doctor at their location would determine my second prescription and that they would move forward with creating my lenses and would have the frames transferred from the Newport location to Cerritos and would take care of them in their lab. She also assured me that they would cover the cost of the lenses and that they wanted to make this right, so I trusted this would be the case. I also received a follow-up call from Dr. Rosenblum (owner) to let me know that my lenses were being created and that they wanted to make this situation right. I confirmed with him that my lenses were to be the single vision lenses with blue light coating and he confirmed this. I also asked him to confirm what Sarah had agreed to in terms of the lenses being covered. A few days later, I received a call from Sarah letting me know my glasses were ready for pickup and that the total cost would be $270.00. I asked her why this cost was so high, especially since I was told the costs would be covered. I also mentioned that with my insurance, the cost should not be this high. Sarah then quoted me $125.00 and said this was with my insurance and an additional discount from them. This still seemed very high, since my lenses are totally covered by insurance and any additional treatments are also an additional percentage off. When I asked for a breakdown of costs, Sarah did not explain why the cost was so high. I also asked her why I was never contacted to go over the cost and breakdown of what the lenses and additional treatments would cost before they preceded to create the lenses. I was not happy that I did not authorize these additional costs, etc. I was then told they would offer them to me at cost or take the lenses out and return my frames if I didn't like their customer service. I chose to have my frames returned after this whole bizarre situation, because they didn't provide exceptional customer service, so I'm going to another provider to have my lenses created. If you do go to either of locations, do so knowing that they mark up costs on their merchandise and move forward on creating materials that have not even been agreed upon or authorized by the customer and then try to negotiate on the cost and tell you that you're getting so many discounts and a great deal...don't buy it...and don't consider this a normal or honest business. read more

I used to get contacts at Sears and would always feel like there was lent on the lense; very frustrating. It was Dr. Sheryl who realized I was allergic to the brand I was using and recommended a silicone version. What a difference a new brand makes! My contacts are way more comfortable and no more constant cleaning and messing with them. EYE SITE is great and prices are fair and they match pretty much everyone. Staff is very friendly and fun..the new guy Danny is real cool. Just remember, initial exams can costs no matter where you go...but these people will make sure you are satisfied with the final product. Eyesite Optometry surpasses all the requirements I have when looking for an Optometrist in my area. This office has it all: caring doctors, a friendly staff, flexibility in office hours, and a wide selection of frames. The office is also stunning. Do not expect a regular doctor's office; it feels comfortable/home-like and looks modern all at the same time. Eyesite Optometry is a father-son practice and they are both so friendly and professional. I also noticed how well the staff knew each patient as they walked in with their families. My wife and I now live in the metro Phoenix area of Arizona. We moved here in 2004. When I lived in California, I went to Eyesite Optometry for quite a number of years to get my eye examinations, lenses and frames. In my mind, Dr. David is a very good optometrist. My experience with Eyesite Optometry was a pleasant one. They have a good variety of frames. Their store and arrangement is attractive, and I found the atmosphere in their store to be pleasant. I just recently went to an optometrist here in Arizona to get an eye examination, lenses and frames. Eyesite is the business! I desperately needed some nice quality glasses and a Jennifer Sagun helped me pick out the perfect glasses for the me and my wallet. She was really detailed into what I was getting, really paid attention to what I was looking for and was super accommodating. Even though I didn't get an examination there, they treated me like I was their patient and that's the kind of quality that I look in any type of business. I've never had to wait very long for my appointments and the Doctors have always been very attentive to me and always make sure that none of my questions go unanswered. I drove by Eyesite Optometry on their grand opening day Jan.2.2008 with the intension to get an eye exam and replace my old pair of glasses. But when I walked into the store I was neither greeted nor asked if I needed any assistance by the front office. Visionworks completely changed my view on that. First, I was greeted by Noemi who carefully explained the process of my eye exam. I looked around the vast selection of glasses until the doctor took me back for my exam. The doctor not only made sure to triple check my prescription to get it right, she thoughtfully explained how to care for my eyes with such a high prescription and astigmatism. I had no idea how much thought should go into your frames! Nobody has ever explained that process in as great of detail as Lisa. I'm happy Dr. Sun understood my plight for getting the correct prescription but progressive frames I really hated. I couldn't really see well out of them. I just couldn't get out of the curve with this point your eye in the direction you want to see and everything else is blurry. So on 2/20/26 I saw Dr. Martinez she is an absolute gem I told her off the bat I hated the progressive lenses and that I wanted to get separate eyewear. The exam went well until my astigmatism has gotten worse which I kind of expected. I affirmed I wanted the glasses separate with readers and distance frames. Dr. Martinez understood. I went to order the frames with I think it was the manager Lisa. I made an order for distance frames originally my insurance covered the nearly $900 pair so I went and ordered readers also from the $199 in store promotion because my insurance would've only been an extra 20% off with VSP. I told her I wanted to buy Meta frames and get the prescription in them so wanted all the prescriptions for what I had ordered to make my order the same day. I made my order online an hour after my appointment. On Monday I got the production email and it said progressive prescription on my receipt. I called the office to ask what did I order because I said I specifically hated the progressive frames because I couldn't see well in them. The person on the phone said I ordered the distance and readers. I asked what prescription was I given because I just uploaded the prescription to meta site and paid nearly $700 for them to make my frames. It was a multi focal prescription now I'm going to have expensive frames that I hate because I was given the wrong prescription by the lady but it's also my fault because I just trusted that she gave me the correct prescription of what I placed my orders with which were distance and readers. I just hope I will be able to see with the pairs I ordered in store because now I'm at a lost because 1 person gave me the wrong prescription for a $700 item. 2/26/26 here now to pick up 1 pair of glasses and spoke to the Lisa she said she didn't clearly understand when I said I wanted the prescription that I ordered so no accountability there. Dr Sun is giving the exam for my daughter but Lisa office manager I don't want to deal with any further for my second pickup for my glasses order. Will check glasses and see how they are and add to review with update then.
