These guys are more than excellent, they go above and beyond the service/job you asked them to do for you. First in store experience: Store owner Rick gave me a great deal on a limited ed Mc Dermott cue as a gift for my 21 year old niece. And that same cue still hits solid and has won APA and BCA league matches up to now. The Mc Dermott Shaft hard maple shaft stays smooth and dent free with basic maintenance for the past 2 years. 2nd visit: I was looking for a Japanese made Zan Premium soft cue tip medium. Mezz online was sold out so the owner Rick and store manager Austin researched what I was looking for and special ordered it for me from their suppliers. Received a call back from great ultra helpful guy Austin 2 days later , dropped in my Mezz maple shaft and voila, a brand new tip for my baby the same day!!! Rick is the only one (being the owner) who handles and works on all pool cues and shaft related repairs and installs. He doesn't let other people or assistants touch your cue. He puts much pride and integrity on his job. I was watching Rick meticulously (almost semi OCD) work on my new tip: He takes his time taking care of your ferrule when removing the old tip. Cleans it well before installing the new one. He has very delicate hands and he has all the hardware shaft spinner and tip press machine. He then perfectly shaped it accordingly to the 10 cent shape. Wow what a work, perfect outline on the sides and streak-less stain free adhesion/ glue use. Took his time about 15- 20 mins for the whole job while you wait. (Luckily he was available that day) 3rd visit: (the next day) Brought my bro in law's predator revo 12.4 carbon fiber shaft that had tip issues and glue stains all over shaft near the cue tip (caused by trying to install our cue tips by amateurs like us , lol) Rick cleaned it first for 10 minutes with no sanding. As he didn't wanna mess up the expensive carbon fiber Revo shaft. Manual elbow grease with a safe solvent by him. Again religiously wiped down the shaft endlessly. Then installed a brand new Kamui clear black M. Wow couldn't be happier, he worked on the hardened glue stains, and didn't charge me a penny. He only charged for the professional cue tip install fee for a low comparable price. These guys are helpful, willing to make customers satisfied and gives you a feeling of comfort and confidence like asking a family member to do a job diligently done for you. All money's worth! He explained everything to me in detail so their was no surprise from price to where my table would be for three days (covered in my garage) Jesse and Josh arrived on time happy and professional disassembled my table, safely stored her in my garage, back fours days later after my floor were done and put her all back together just like new. Came to move a pool table. They didn't have the tools complained about everything from the moment they came until they said they couldn't move it. I had someone from a standard moving company move it! So the "professionals" what looked like two kids and one 20 year old couldn't? To do one even better they started talking trash about my antique tournament table telling the guy buying it that it was trash and needed new felt (less than 2 years old) and that he shouldn't buy it from me! Cost me $1000.00 We have had it moved twice no problem no complaing no issues. Don't know what this guys issue was but I would never recommend anyone use a company like this. Kid argued with me about it being a two slate table.... I've seen it taken apart twice. $900???? To move it and then they wasted 2 hours of my work day and didn't do a damned thing. "We can't move it because we don't have an extention for our socket" What an absolute joke. I called the office there to ask for some sort of resolution, got I'm so sorry that shouldn't have happened I'll have the owner call you back right away. We'll that was 4 hours ago so I guess not huh? To top it off... the left their gloves sitting in my bushes outside. This company hands down deserves a negative stars. What an absolute joke. They were honest and have obvious great integrity . We were planning to redo rails and felt but when they showed up to move the table they let us know that neither need to be done and the option was ours. I have moved a few billiard tables in the past and I know how difficult it is to do it oroperly. Seeing Rick and his son work puts me to shame. They made it look so easy. Attention to detail, professionalism, and amazingly friendly. Got the job done and even went out of his way to get replacement bolts because he noticed mine were worn out. Rick was friendly when he sold and installed my pool table last year. Unfortunately, less than a year later, I noticed a crack in the center of the slate extending all the way from one side to the other. Rick said it could only be fixed by replacing the slate, but it would be YEARS before parts are available. He then actually accused me of abusing and breaking my own table (which I absolutely did not do) and said I'm "out of luck" since it allegedly only has a 6 month warranty (which I still have never seen in writing). I felt a bump on my table where the slate meets. I called around, and got different quotes. Rick was the most upfront about pricing and what it would take to fix my table. I also told him about the excess felt I was feeling around my rails. He came by the next day. He was able to use my existing felt, smoothen out my table and stretch the felt around my rails.
