: Poor Representation and Miscommunication at Big State Pawn…read more I recently visited Big State Pawn and experienced what I would consider a disappointing display of customer service and communication. I had placed a game console on layaway that was advertised and sold as a combo including four games -- the combo was the very reason I chose to purchase it. Two weeks later, when I picked it up, I noticed that one of the games was missing from the box. When I brought this to the attention of an employee, a african american female with braids whom I was not speaking with or too responded in a condescending and dismissive tone, saying, " you know the games aren't actually a combo right? We gave them to you for free...like they just come free with the console." with a smug look on her face... That response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and frankly made no logical sense. The product was marketed and displayed as a four-game combo, and any reasonable customer would expect to receive exactly what was advertised. Thankfully, another associate who demonstrated professionalism and respect simply asked that I bring in the console so we could check. I did, and we discovered that the missing game was inside it and if it was not, she would give me another game.. That simple, respectful approach was all that was needed from the beginning. This situation was never about the game itself; it was about how it was handled. We customer decide to spend their money, they deserve to be treated with courtesy and understanding, not condescension. The tone, professionalism, and attitude displayed by that one staff member reflect directly on the company as a whole. Big State Pawn, please take this as an opportunity to remind your team that customer service is not just about making a sale...it's about maintaining trust, respect, and integrity with every interaction. Silver, Gold, and Platinum on multiple occasions. In every case they gave the absolutely best price over the three or four other places in the vicinity (Denton, Lewisville, Grapevine). I've been told they have multiple locations around town. They are closed Saturday and open Sunday which is also a bonus vs other dealers. Long story short if you have precious metals to sell then come here. They give the best price hands down and are proud to make that claim.

No numismatic deals here as (like most gold and silver guys) he will only give you what the gold or silver is worth with no premiums really. I went in with a bunch of Libertads which definitely sell for premiums but he would only offer me Kitco spot. For these you're better off just selling them on FB Marketplace cause all the gold and silver guys in Dallas/ Ft Worth area want to buy it below spot so they can make even more when they re-sell for the huge premiums that they deserve. I was able to sell 100 Troy oz of other silver coins that were just one-offs I had bought when silver was at $24 so I was ok to take the spot minus .90 Basic blocking and tackling here. While I was in the shop four or five people came in all looking to sell some gold and silver so he seems to be in the right place. He's a nice guy, straight up with you for the most part. He was kind enough to trade me some copies of 2013 silver ms70 pandas for some 2018 that he had to help fill out some holes in my collection. Just basic gold and silver I'd take here in the future, but premium coins I'd need to find another buyer.
