Yesterday and day before I had incidents where guys were taking pics in men's locker room. But after scanning the yelp reviews the way the manager Gabriel treated it makes more sense. The first day I reported, in passing to a staff member, I saw on my way out of the locker room. On day two when it happened, I had just finished getting my bottom half dressed and was worried I had been caught in the background. I asked the other member not to take pics in the locker room, he got upset and tried to continue to take pics. I pointed to the signs on the mirror that show criminal code and asked him again. At this point another guy in order to mock me took out his phone and started taking pics in the mirror. I told them that if they continued I would let front desk know. The second guy told me to tell the front desk. So I head out to let front desk know and the manager Gabriel is walking in so I tell him what's going on. At the time I had no idea Gabriel was the manager I just saw by his shirt he was staff. So he chuckles to the two members that were taking pics that they're not allowed to take pics but treats it like I'm just making a big deal of nothing. Doesn't warn the guys or let them know that it's not only against policy but also against the law. So as I'm leaving the locker room so is one of the guys. I point him out to the attendant at the front desk, a woman named Camryn. Camryn doesn't appear to be taking it seriously either. So then Gabriel comes back up to the front as I'm telling Camryn and still doesn't appear to be taking it seriously. Camryn is at this time smiling condescendingly at me as if I'm just making a big deal. So then at the front desk I take out my phone and started recording our interaction to send to higher ups and corporate. Then Gabriel starts to say that they will take it seriously and that he knows the members and will address it with them later. At this point on video I ask for corporate contact info and at first Gabriel says he has no way of getting ahold of them. I tell him that that's not believable and he excuses himself then comes back with an email address for a person named Tasha who he says is the person that sees over that region. I email her immediately and hear nothing back 24 hours later. So I call another location and they tell me Tasha is bad about returning emails in a timely manner. You would figure that something that is not only against policy but also illegal would be taken more seriously. So I finally get an email for what I'm told is corporate and emailed both corporate and Tasha at the same time. Had this not been two days in a row and had it been taken seriously to begin with by Gabriel I would not be writing this nor would I have felt the need to email Tasha/corporate. But upon reading the reviews I came across this one where a person says that Gabriel himself takes selfies in the locker room which explains the dismissive attitude. It's unfortunate because I like the gym itself but have had an incident at a gym in LA where I was recorded and uploaded so I'm hyper aware of phones in the locker room. Either way I don't think that this is something that should be blown off by not only Gabriel yesterday but by Tasha as well at this point. I'll update if/when there's a resolution but so far I'm not at all impressed with the way the situation is being handled. read more

The only problem is the homeless in the area definitely make it rough when you go in early in the am or late nights it sometimes feels like a zombie movie to be honest. The equipment is what you'd expect to get out of a 24 hour gym. read more

Extremely disappointed with the management of this gym. I signed up for personal training upon renewing my membership a few months ago and the experience has been awful. In the sales consultation, the number one thing I said I was looking for out of training was a personalized approach. I've worked out for years but never had anything tailored to me which is was the only thing that I was looking for out of trainer. And this is exactly what I did not receive. The trainer also explained to me that the training program needed to be a contract so that I would commit to the program and actually get good results. Makes some sense I guess... It took until about my 4th session with the trainer before we were able to use the body scan analysis due to the machine being under maintenance. I did not receive a personalized training/workout plan or nutrition guide from my trainer. All I really received out of him was a training partner for the one day a week that I worked with him. Without any sort of plan for the rest of the week how could one 25 minute session a week get me any results? On week 6, I get a call from my trainer asking to reschedule that weeks session to the following week. I wasnt thrilled about doubling up my workouts in a single weekend but I obliged because I did personally like the guy. Week 7 rolls around and I text my trainer to ask him what time we'd be fitting in the extra workout. He tells me that he is no longer employed at EoS. EoS did not bother to give me a call to inform me of this or reschedule me with any other trainers. One week ago today, I had sent my fiance by the gym to inquire about our training sessions. They gave her the run around, refused to let her speak to the manager sitting in her office directly behind the front desk said the club manager would reach out over phone. She never called. That same day I also sent an email to the advertised email contact on the club website for personal training questions. I never received a reply from that inquiry other. Now yesterday, I call the gym again and speak with Gabby at the front desk and explain the situation about how I haven't had a training session in 3 weeks with no communication from the club, yet of course they are still billing me for the sessions. She lets me know that the head of training is in the club and that he would be returning my call in about 15 minutes. No one ever called me back. I am at a loss for words at the integrity of the management for this club. They have entirely botched my training program that I continue to be billed for without even the common decency of giving me the time of day to properly respond to my concerns. read more

They weren't transparent with me about processing fees and annual gym fees . I was told my membership would be 30 dollars a month , when I got my first bill it was 95 dollars . I called to cancel my membership and get a refund and they told me im not eligible for a refund that everything was spelled out in the user agreement . I signed up for a certain amount of personal training sessions and they were supposed to be eight payments taken. I tried to email them to cancel it within the time that I needed to and also call. Neither of those things work. You get into a call loop trying to call and the email bounced back. So I went into the gym and a nice person helped me to cancel it on the app. Another payment has been taken and another one is in the works. Just ridiculous. I am on Medicare and Social Security. The sales person is no longer there who set me up for this, and I wasn't able to see the manager when I was there, but the person that helped me assured me that it was canceled. This is $80 every two weeks for a half hour training sessions and the trainer is not that great either. The gym equipment and cleanliness is also lacking. read more

Horrid. Beautiful facility, everything you could ever want in a gym and more including a cinema to get through boring cardio. Decided to join after a visual walk through. Clean, well equipped facility. It ends there though. First of all after my visit I received no less than a dozen emails, even after I joined a few days latter, they continued. Blocked the text messages which were not quite so prolific but annoying just the same. There are classes but in order to see what and when you need to download their app...but do they tell you that? Nope. Maybe if they spent more time on "useful" communications like how things work rather than making sales they've actually already made... I signed up for a personal trainer which was extra (fair enough) but received a text message the night before asking if I could reschedule (went on about how their scheduling system doesn't work for him) awesome. Told him I'd arranged my work schedule to accommodate this training. He went on to try to shame a guilt me because he needed to go to court to help his ex wife get back custody of their daughter. TMI. The training went fine and although I signed up for 2 trainings per week he felt waiting another week worked for him. Maybe he had another court date. Went to a group class today, literally no instruction or direction. I asked afterwards thinking maybe I was missing something...nope, just supposed to wing it. I called the manager this afternoon to try to sort through these issues to find a way to simply get a fitness program that I didn't have to fight to accomplish. She didn't care to hear any of it. Makes perfect sense that this place runs like it does. Sad. Cancelled my membership and will make sure I ask more questions rather than just looking at the facility. read more

It makes sense to have one low by the lower sink, but to make all of them lowered... why should I have to bend my back or squat to dry my hands? Never over offer a service to someone not wanting one at the moment. I just wanted to workout, but was sat down for 30 mins while pre-workout was coursing in my system. Was an unpleasant experience. First off, they were so rude over the phone and would not help after we stated the issues multiple times. On 12/5/2023 we called to schedule our 6month old over the phone for the date of 12/6/2023 because it would not work online as we informed the young lady over the phone. The sarcasm and rudeness left us a bit confused and it continued throughout the phone call. The young lady stated that she had my 6 month old scheduled for the daycare services they offer at that location . We spoke with two young ladies. On 12/6/2023 we get there to the daycare services, there was a lady with blonde long hair checking us in the daycare area, which had no name tag to give a name to anyone if we Made a complaint. We stated that we had a reservation. She stated that she didn't see a reservation gave us a hard time and was not trying to be helpful at all. Eventually we got it solved. We left the daycare area and I went to the front desk to ask another young lady a question with dark color long hair, I would say black hair. She stood about 5'3 inches tall. That young lady completely ignored me therefore I went to one of the managers of the establishment who was the polite but she was helping someone else and was still willing to help me. The general manager then finally noticed I need help and I made my complaint about the phone calls the whole process, I was polite as possible. The bathrooms were terrible. Today I went back and we rescheduled time we initially had our child scheduled for. They told us that it would be fine. We then get there and the same blonde girl gave us issues and said we Had to do paperwork delaying our workout time instead of informing us over the phone. I have never left a review but the carelessness and the miserable state of the employees there effects them upholding job responsibilities and duties. It amazes me to have a whole team that not focused on the goal and the duties to be performed of the job task and just being polite and not rude. This is generally a clean EOS knocking off 2 stars because of the cardio cinema here. The stair masters have been basically broken on and off since 2020 and a lot of the machines in there seem old. The cardio machines outside the cinema seem in better shape that's for sure and may even be newer. This is one of the smaller EOS but I digress. The employees are great never had any issues there. The saunas here are in the pool area which is kind of wack. Usually their in the bathrooms in front of the showers. read more

We came to EoS simply because our prior gym (LAF) closed. While the initial experience was pleasant, things quickly went south. The equipment in this gym at 51st/Olive is not maintained - some of it barely functioning. The gym as a whole has the general appearance of not being abandoned (although the restrooms are usually decent). read more

Lonnie was my personal trainer and it was a love hate relationship. He made it fun and challenging and I really enjoyed the boxing aspect to our training. The worst part for me was the cardio he would make me do but it was also probably the most important and least thing I care to do on my own. This gym does get busy and can be very crowded during peak ours but I really like going on the off hours. Great equipment including turfed and a cardio movie theater. read more

The saying "you get what you pay for" applies to the 59th and 101 location of EoS Fitness. The personal fitness manager and his team fraudulently charged my CC several hundred dollars for personal training even though the training sessions were cancelled within the "5 day trial period." Additionally when speaking w Ernest to resolve the charges, he was condescending and rude. Instead of offering acceptable customer service he deliberately put me on hold never to return to the call. For over a decade I have been a member of other gyms in the valley. In all that time I have never been disrespected and treated as poorly by a gym representative as I have in the last 30 minutes. I encourage you to give significant thought to joining a club just bc it is a lower monthly fee than other clubs. The amount charged to my CC is 3 years of membership at a reputable gym. read more

Been working out here for nearly 2 years now and I've had no problems. Payment remains consistent and the yearly fee was disclosed when I signed up so it's not a surprise. Machines break down here and there but it's understandable - there's other variations or you can just use free weights instead as long as you can mimic the movement. This review centers on Gabriel, the operational manager at the EOS Fitness 59th and Thunderbird. When I found out he was in charge, my jaw hit the floor. Gabriel appears arrogant and haughty. He is never welcoming, makes no eye contact, does not go around the gym and locker room to make sure everything is clean and going smoothly. I've even seen Gabe taking selfies in the men's locker room where signs are posted everywhere stating it's illegal. Not cool. Gabriel needs training on how to be customer-friendly to EVERYONE, and not just those in his demographic, and he needs to follow the rules just like everyone else. Not a good look for EOS. read more

I've been going to this location for almost a year now and I really love it so much. Even though it's not the closest gym to my house, I drive the extra distance just for the staff/environment. The personal trainer, Lonnie, Is not only a fantastic personal trainer with his clients, but also sets the vibe for the entire gym. He constantly motivates everyone around him, whether they're a client of his or not, to do their absolute best when working out. He alone sets a very personal vibe to the gym and a major reason in why I continue to commute to this location. read more

i go to the gym on 51st and olive in glendale this by far is the best gym! although they don't have the newest equipment, the atmosphere and friendly faces make up for it. their front desk staff (especially Gabby) is amazing and everyone is always greeted with a smile. thanks to the maintenance crew (especially Leo) the gym is always clean and fully stocked which is important since we all practice gym etiquette. can't really say anything bad about this gym. it will forever be my home. read more

Hello Due to a confrontation I experienced with an employee at Eos located on 51st Avenue and Olive in Arizona. , I'm focused on reporting this location for their threats of violence, unprofessionalism, and lack of concern for their customers. If you could communicate this incident properly, I would appreciate it. Unfortunately, it appears to be an impossibility for any persons to contact a corporate system of any sort. On the afternoon of 07/11/2023, approximately 5:10, I went to the gym with my brother. I was refused service on account of him being under the age of 18. I found this confusing given this was the 3rd time I took him to the gym with no issues. I asked if I could see where that is stated in the regulations since there were inconsistencies. I had hope of finding a solution to this small issue (as my brother turns 18 the next day, 07/13/2023). Instead of being assisted, I was dismissed and told, "No." I was then refused service, disrespected, and ignored. A woman approached us, and I asked her if she was in-charge, she confirmed that she was the manager. However, she did not once try to control her employee and proceeds to villainize me. I asked agian, if they could show me where it says in the rules that I can not bring my brother. She attempts to help me, but appeared to be unsure of where to find the information. I notice where it says that I can not have a guest under the age of 18 and inform her. I then question why I was initially refused access to this information upon request. The male employee jumps back into the conversation and tells me it was my fault for not realizing, I should have looked and that his attitude was equivalent to mine. I found this extremely unprofessional. Regardless of my confusion or frustration in the situation, there's no justification for the escalation and reciprocation in the midst of a confrontation. Especially from a face of the company, during which the so-called manager was still just standing there. At this point, I had reached my limit. I tell the manager that I don't appreciate how this location has treated me. I also dont appreciate the fact that she just stood there while her coworker continued to behave hostile towards me. I then state that I'd like to cancel my membership. She happily complies and continues to tell me to leave and that my account will be canceled. I asked for their names and she refuses, saying she does not have to provide that. The gentlemen was wearing a name tag. As I glanced to see it, the manager signals to the employee to conceal his name tag. At this point, the man continues to threaten me, throwing his arms up and charging me. While the Manager proceeds to tell me to "leave! your membership is being canceled," disregarding everything her coworker is saying and doing. Realizing the situation was pointless, I leave. This location could have handled the situation better. They could have de-escalated but instead chose to promote violence. My hope with this is to assure that no one else will have to endure the reckless, irrational and irresponsible reaction displayed by your employees read more

Gym is really good. I've enjoyed my time here for the last few months but, the employees do not clean or maintain the gym. Locker rooms are not really clean neither is the sauna. Someone should be cleaning constantly but I've never seen anyone do anything other than stand in the front and talk. They do have a lot of cool equipment and is the best value for the area. read more

Stay so far away from this company. I originally tried to cancel in October and they said I did it incorrectly and billed me again in November, December. I called again in December and talked to someone named Julian (who apparently no longer works for EOS) and he told me that I was getting a refund and was never to be billed again, and sent me an email with a screen shot confirming it. I believed him and went on my merry way. Until this past Saturday morning (2/6/21) when I woke up to find I had been billed again. I called to talk to them and find out what was the issue and they said they had no history of me ever canceling, but said that I could email them a copy of said cancellation notice and they would look and see. They replied to the email and said that I wouldn't be getting a refund because I didn't give 30 days notice (keep in mind it was supposedly canceled back in December and I have proof from a manager) I got a call from one of the managers, and they said I would get a refund, and the other manager had improperly canceled my account before. Stay the hell away from here unless you want a nightmare situation and almost 6 months of hassle to cancel your gym membership. It's not worth it. read more

I waited 60 days before placing judgement on the cleanliness of this particular location. I catch myself driving to the 59th and thunderbird location even though it is out of my way , simply because it is clean and the Olive location is getting to a point where not only is it visibly not clean but it also smells (ex: Sauna). The state of the Sauna is unimaginable. It's in horrific condition. It's smells like moldy feet and trash. There is garbage all over the floor that has been there for a hot minute. You can clearly tell it is not being properly disinfected on a regular basis. Which begs the question about the rest of the equipment. I only stop by here if I am pressed for time. I strongly suggest going a few blocks north to 59th and Thunderbird. Also why on earth are they not doing Anything about the older gentlemen who cuts his toe nails in the Sauna. read more

This location is absolute and utter garbage. Homeless people sleeping inside the entry lobby and on the shower benches. Water fountain broke, took 2 months to fix, then a week later broke again for several weeks. Sauna has been out of service for over a month! This place is pure donkey d**K! Why am I paying for a membership when I can't even utilize the amenities?! The only reason I joined this place is because of its closeness to my house and the fact that it had a sauna. I been having to go to an alternate location, which is farther, for over a month! Do I get any type of discount or compensation for my inconveniences as a customer, hell no. These putos still expect their full monthly fees! Place is a disaster and their Operations is real 3rd world rate! DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!! read more

It is absolutely ridiculous that they take advantage of paying customers and have these hidden fees and sign people up for a plan that they did not want charging 200+ dollars every two weeks and then not allowing you to cancel claiming that you have to wait six months and call back after two days if they don't contact you it's just absolutely ridiculous I have reached out to an operations manager but let's see if I get a response. Please do not come here after 5 p.m. unless you have designated 5 hours to your workout. You will spend more time waiting for a machine than actually working out. Way to small of a place for as many people that go in the evening. Not enough machines. The lighting is good, though, and the sauna is co-ed and a nice size. Weekends aren't as busy, but I definitely will not be using this eos for a quick weekday workout. Good luck! read more

My main complaint is its further than my old gym and its too crowded. They told me it would get less crowded after january but it stayed just as busy if not worse as time went on with a neverending supply of 20 somethings. For $20/mth u get unlimited workout classes/pool with sauna/cardio equip/weightlifting equip. Its very affordable but theres always way to many ppl and too few free areas to do stretching/matt exercises/not enough free weights. Also its all very open floorplan n i like more privacy/less distractions when i workout. They have great aneminities like child care with tv monitoring at the treadmills, good variety of classes/good instructors, and a room with movie on while u do cardio though. However, i went back to my old gym (planet fitness) as its closer/cheaper/hardly ever crowded. read more

I have been going to Eōs for about 2 years. The staff has always been really polite and friendly. I feel extremely comfortable at this location thanks to the staff. The movie Cinema room they have is exciting. When I started Eōs, I was 230 pounds (300 pounds at my heaviest). I have lost 150 pounds and my current weight has a lot to do with muscle now, thanks to Oneel (Trainer during 2019). Oneel, has been absolutely fantastic. I have had incredible gains with the workouts he gives me weekly. My previous training sessions were afternoons with Zach prior to switching to mornings with Oneel. Zach is an awesome guy and trainer! I am grateful for the progress I made during my time with him in 2018!! read more
