Stay Away! Continually have broken equipment, cleaning stations not serviced, very unhelpful and unknowledgeable staff, back door policies to charge you after you cancel that they don't inform you off. Met with new trainer today. She was AMAZING!!! Seriously great communication, excellent teacher providing verbal, visual and kinetic instruction. She was very encouraging AND really made sure we worked together to identify the needs of both my spouse & I. I'm realizing our first trainer didn't do most of our assessment. Very grateful that the head trainer got us in with another. He was responsive when I expressed concerns with the previous experience, and got it resolved immediately. They've also fixed the couple of pieces of equipment that had been down. When I commented to an employee, they said it was a delay from the supplier. All these other 3 stars (or less) are spot on. EOS sales people are pushy and they directly lie to get you to sign up. "It's not a contract" but good luck canceling, as you can only do it in person and they'll still charge you 2 months more of the membership. I tried PT, and initially that was OK. Except the only time the trainers (multiple) had was late on a weeknight. I ended up losing 2 sessions as that's not a workable schedule for me. When I brought a friend, our entire visit was high-jacked but a salesman giving us a free PT session. Except I needed to leave at a certain time and the person I brought is special-needs. The salesman manipulated him into almost signing up by dangling MY two remaining sessions as incentive. It was pushy salesman BS and went way over the time I specified needing to leave. Now I won't go to the Roy location at all because of it. Not to mention, I still never got my last two sessions. I still go to EOS because it works logistically for me. But I tell anyone that asks this story and advise them to avoid EOS. Not like the other big gyms are any better, but they haven't burned me yet. read more

I was trying to choose between EoS and VASA for a gym in the area. It came down to price. VASA tells you exactly how much you are paying. The EoS site makes you enter your info first. I was really hesitant to enter anything because I didn't want to be spammed with calls. But I also needed to know how much they charge. So I regretfully entered my info. The price was more or less the same between the two gyms, EoS is closer to me so I was going to sign up with them next paycheck. Buuuuut, in the last three days, I've unsubscribed from their emails, opted out of two different text messages, and have had someone call me every day. It feels like harassment. And because of this and this alone, I will be signing up with VASA. read more

In comparison to my previous gym (Planet fitness), eos felt like a playground for adults. Their equipment was always clean and plenty of machines to continue rotating your workout. When I heard about this new location opening up I was eager to check it out. The Roy EOS stepped the game up big time. Their equipment is top notch, and looks quite expensive. For the first time ever I felt like the annual fee that locks your membership in might actually be a good value, because if all their locations become like this one, their rates will have to go up. So I recommend signing up before that happens. I recognized some of the staff here from the Ogden location, so nothing new there. Their playground is also significantly larger than the one in Ogden, and there are cameras so you can watch your little ones while working out. Overall this location makes you feel like you're getting a lot more bang for your buck. read more

Every time I go in there's at least 3 people at the front desk- you would think they could pick up a phone when it rings! The voice mail doesn't work either. I have been trying for 2 days in a row to call them for membership questions. So now I have to take time out of my day (waste time and gas) to go in person to to have a face to face conversation. Classes have all of a sudden all become "Swerve" virtual biking. I don't/can't bike especially virtually so why keep a membership. read more

The beand new gym is awesome, clean and modern feeling. The machines are in great shape, they are smart and context to your devices, the building is clean and well laid out. The only thing it does not have is a indoor track, but there are the work shops, theater room, cycle room and weight room. read more

My family and I have been members here since it opened. My husbands yearly renewal was coming up and I called and let them know we were likely cancelling it since he was joining a different club and they said they would hold off and to let them know. Less than a day later we were charged $94. I called back and explained the situation, my husband did go to a different club so I asked for that cancellation and refund. They sent us through loop after loop to talk to someone who could "do something about it" and then were told too bad they won't refund us. Literally so disappointing. I couldn't believe the poor customer service and selfishness. What a money pit. I'm cancelling both of our memberships. read more

Wish there was an option for zero stars. Their hottub never works, memberships are a scam, and they let people run around and cause a ruckus and play around. Not to mention cancelling a membership is a joke you can't do it online they force you to go in and do anything they can't to keep scamming you for money and premiums. read more

The staff are very rude. They pick and choose who they greet at the front door. There's usually 2-3 ppl sitting at the front but they won't speak to you unless they feel like it. I asked for help with a machine and the girl told me to basically figure it out for myself. read more

Don't waste your time coming here. I wanted to buy a drink but the 3 members at the front desk will completely ignore everyone and just continue with their conversation. The actual gym looked like a daycare for high school kids that got dropped off by their parents. Every piece of equipment had people on it but less than 25% were actually being used for a workout. I waited it out for 30 minutes thinking it would empty out some but the place was stayed full of people using the equipment as benches while they looked at their phones or talked with their friends. Between the staff, 8,000 high school kids, and no available equipment this place is a shit hole. I guess that is what you can expect from a place that offers a $9.95 membership. read more

Is it a nice gym? Yes. Is it as nice as it seems at first glance? No. Should you believe for one second that they're somehow above all the BS you get from other gyms? Absolutely not. Most of Eos's advertising centers on their $10/month no contract plan. This fails to mention the $150 annual fee collected after your first month or the registration fee, which is exponentially higher the lower your monthly rate is. They work hard to upsell you to the higher membership tiers; however, many of the highest level benefits don't exist at this location or any of the nearby locations, if they exist at all. Those that aren't imaginary are made as inconvenient to access as possible. If, like myself, you find the Black membership to be a waste of money, don't worry, changing to the lower level will only cost you an additional $30 per person on your plan. Oh, and the unlimited guest privileges are a lie. You have to pay separately for that. The real appeal of the place is the weight room, and in that regard, Eos doesn't disappoint. Plenty of squat racks, deadlift platforms, and benches, with little quality of life extras like rope pulls, sleds, and even alternative bars. Maintenance is fairly quick, with most machines requiring only a day or two to get fixed. Cleaning is spotty at best, especially in the men's locker room and sauna, but at least the patrons are pretty good about wiping down the equipment. Miscellaneous features: Parking is decent, there is child care but you have to get up no later than five in the morning to get a reservation, and the music is atrocious. They claim they're working on expanding the daycare to catch up with demand, but there's no evidence that they're actually doing anything about it. My personal theory is that the daycare is only profitable as bait for new customers, not as a service for existing ones. In summary, Eos will try to wring every last penny from you that it can possibly get away with, and once they get your yearly fee they have very little incentive to keep you coming back, but the same can be said of about 95% of gyms, so what can you do? Unlike a lot of other gyms, Eos Roy actually offers a decent weight room in return. Oh, and avoid Eos Layton. It's a dump. read more

They lie right to your face to get you to sign up! Signed up with the premium membership with Taylor at the Layton location, so we could bring a guest. We explained that I was going to bring my 15 year old daughter and my husband could bring my 13 year old daughter. We were told that you had to be at least 13 to come to the gym. I showed up today for the first time with my daughter and they told me that you had to be 16 years old to come as a guest. I asked to speak to the manager. The SAME person who signed me up for the membership walks over and says there must have been a misunderstanding. I told her no, you told my husband and I both that we could bring our daughters. She just looked at me and said there must have been a misunderstanding. I told her I would just cancel and I understood. So she tells me that I still have to pay the annual fee for both memberships because I am canceling. So her fault, but I still have to pay??? Do not sign anything!! South Jordan sales people must work on commission and are hoping people won't complain, I bet they are about to get a ton of complaints now that they are open. They sell you on a 9.99 membership and then charge you a lot more. I asked point blank to DJ the General Sales Manager if there were any other fees. He knew exactly what he was doing because he then strategically emphasized over and over again the amount I would be charged 30 days after the gym opened. He emphasized I would only have 9.99 come out and then $65 was billed 3 times for each membership. Zero down is a scam, at least planet fitness is honest about their fees. go to Planet fitness. I gave them a chance to fix, and no care, so I cancelled the first day they opened. Then when I was walking out. The district manager politely w me out because he was afraid I would tell people. I got in a debate with the district manager when we are outside just venting one more time And another guy was walking out at the same time. The other guy asked me why I was angry when the district manager walked back in. I briefly described why and he told me had a similar experience with sales rep.Funny thing is, I probably would've still got the membership if they were honest about it upfront. Well, the doctor note came and they won't refund anything. I have no recourse after speaking to a customer service representative yesterday and emailing texts and the doctor note and talking with the manager. I'm sucking up $228 but not without letting others know that if you sign up, and don't cancel within 3 days by a letter via certified mail, you're screwed. read more

Don't sign up for EŌS Fitness. Their customer service is horrible and do not help out their customers with any issues. They only care about money and not customers needs. Also half of the stuff in the gym is closed, so buying a expensive membership for those exclusive perks is useless and bogus. POS gym. read more

I've been to a lot of gyms throughout my life and never once have I experienced such unprofessional staff I went there with my wife sister and her boyfriend they were doing maintenance in the locker rooms when my sisters boyfriend and I went to the mens locker room they were closed off yet the females was open so my sister and wife proceeded to go in and shower well while my wife sister and a few other female customers were in there the all male maintenance staff proceeded to enter without having a female make sure that the female locker room was empty and while they were in there entering the male maintenance staff didn't regard it at all didn't apologize or even divert their eyes when I tried resolving the issue with Bryan who was attending the front desk he completely ignored the issue saying and I quote "well the maintenance staff is here doing work" and when we tried to ask for a way to contact someone higher up rather it be a phone number or an email he replied with "I'm not allowed to give out that kind of information and I don't know e-mail's" after we had expressed to him the situation of the staff not taking the proper procedures before working I've been in maintenance before so I know that it is a world wide policy is if you're going to be entering a room of any sort designed for the opposite gender to have someone of that gender make sure the room isn't being occupied or even announcing that you are attempting to enter to make sure the room is empty read more
