So much flavor in their red sauce pizza, i really enjoyed everything about this pizza

3.5 Has 5 years gone by since my first review? Absolutely. Since then, I revisited a couple times more and tried the regular slice and again, didn't fall in love. I just didn't share the sentiment of the general consensus in terms of stellar reviews. Dropped by again today in company and we both opted for their Zucchini slice made with mandolin slices of fresh Zucchini, Fontina Cheese, mint and black pepper. No red sauce here. The person at the counter was really nice and came looking for us when the pizza was ready. Opinion of this slice was much more favorable. The crust was airy while the topping was indeed Spring like as described to us. A definite improvement of experience from the first couple visits. It seems I'm working my way through their various styles.

Located right next to Frankie's restaurant is this beautiful pizzeria. Great outdoor sitting area. Just beautiful and comfy. Bathroom. Water available As for the slices I got the plain cheese. Excellent for $4.50. Oil I assume Frankie's brand. Super thin. No flop. Gd undercarriage I broke my own rule and got the Cacio e Pepe slice. Hard pass next time. Looked good undercarriage but flopped. Took cash. No tax

Everyone is talking about F & F pizzeria! The dough was developed with assistance by a local bakery, it's so good TV hosts are giving shout outs. Why can't these spots be in south Brooklyn? For me to head north, I need to plan ahead. And thats what I did, I arrived just before noon. I have the place to myself, it's a very nice looking spot. I start talking to the counter person but I zero in on the Partamma slice. Man, that slice was pure perfection. I get it, with a hint of onion? I can see why people are losing it. The crust has a unique sour dough flavor, I'm a total fan after first bite. First time here, I'm impressed with the F & F specialty pizza.

5/5! F&F is my current favorite cheese and pepperoni slice in NYC. I came here after seeing Babish rate their slice a 9.9, and happy to say my high expectations were met. Both the tomato sauce (a hint of a slight red wine flavor) and mozzarella cheese are extremely high quality and flavorful, but the real shining star of their pizza is the crust. Perfectly charred (but not burnt), crispy and slightly chewy, with incredible seasoning and flavor. I also tried the Sicilian slice which was made with high quality and flavorful focaccia bread, would recommend getting that one as well. I'll continue to try more pizza places throughout NYC but for now F&F is my top place to get pizza in New York. Been here multiple times and it's never been that crowded with minimal wait (F&F is in a quieter residential neighborhood). They have a small amount of seating indoor and outdoors.

Cheese pizza. I asked for extra crispy.

Incredible pizza! I visited my friend in Astoria for a few days and wanted to find some great pizza. I found it! I asked for it to be cooked to be extra crispy. They delivered. The sauce was clean and fresh. The dough was really good. I highly recommend F&F.

I came here because of the Instagram hype, and according to Google AI, Jimmy Fallon loves this place and even featured the owners on his show. On 11/1/25, I ordered two slices: The Partanna and the Clam. The Partanna was definitely one of the most creative slices I've had in the city -- topped with red onion, mozzarella, pecorino romano, Calabrian chili, orange blossom honey, and Sicilian oregano. The crust was crispy, but unfortunately the chili overpowered everything else, so I didn't enjoy it. I took two bites and tossed it. The Clam slice didn't live up to the hype either. It tasted a bit stale, like it had been sitting out too long (The server said it was 15 minutes out). I prefer my slices fresh out of the oven, like the Partanna was. I had a Limonata (lemon-flavored) soda with both, but I think the orange soda would have paired better -- especially with the Partanna. The slices are huge, the service is good, and the restaurant itself is relatively clean with a nice garden-style seating area in the back. However, the pizza doesn't compare to what I ate growing up in the 1970s and 1980s at Italian-immigrant-owned pizzerias.

We tried it all and the winner is the clam pizza! It just has the best garlic taste to it. Bob is great. Service is welcoming have a great little patio. Everything is fantastic. 8.7 from us!

I had a good experience at F&F pizzeria. The service was great, vibes were good, and the pizza was good. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was busy, but there were still plenty of tables! The interior was nicely decorated & I liked the music. I got a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was heated up for me and served pretty quickly. It was $4 and tasted pretty good. The pepperoni was good and the sauce was delicious and raw. I thought the crust was a bit chewy. Service was good and friendly. No complaints from me

After some drinking in the neighborhood, I was craving some good ol' pizza. I heard about their Clam Pizza here and had to come try it out for myself. They offer pizza by the pie and slice, which is nice. There is also a couple tables if you want to enjoy there. We ended up eating our pizza at the high top table on the sidewalk. I had the Clam Pizza ($7), which was cheesy with bits of clam on it. It also came with a wedge of lemon to squeeze over. Also tried the classic Pepperoni ($4.50), which was tried and true. The slices were so crispy that you couldn't really fold your pizza, but held well. The crust was a bit tougher to chew, but solid spot for pizza.

Go here for pepperoni pizza @ $35 for a pizza. Babish rated it 9.9 in his YouTube video but that's way overrated. Crust: Charred bottom but it wasn't as crispy as it looks Sauce: Tastes a little more acidic than normal, it gets overpowered by the dough. The sauce goes very well with the pepperoni but isn't great on the regular or other slices. Cheese: Not a cheesy pizza so the cheese doesn't stand out at all. It gets lost in the sauce and dough. Pepperoni Slice 7/10 - thin sliced pepperoni with mild spice. This is definitely their best slice. It taste totally different than the regular or other toppings. Regular 6/10 -nothing really stands out but the dough is tough and it's a struggle to eat Hot Sausage & Brown Butter Sage Pizza 6/10 -sausage is sweet but it doesn't mix well with the herbs. I think sausage by itself would be better.

Came here the other day with my dining companion, since I've been wanting to check it out for a while. You can get pizza by the slice or by the pie here, just as an FYI. They have some seating by way of bar stools or an outdoor patio area (but it was closed off since it was being set up for what looked like a wedding reception). We ordered the clam slice, the partanna and the tomato to share and they were all good, with our favorites being the clam and the partanna. The tomato slice was ok, but nothing special. The clam slice was really good, but definitely rich, so I couldn't see myself ordering more than one. And the partanna had great flavor from the orange blossom honey, which was delicious. The staff were friendly and service was quick, so I could definitely see myself coming back here again!

I wasn't sure what to expect from F&F - you see it on a lot of the lists of best pizza in Brooklyn, but you don't hear much buzz about it. Well, consider this buzz like you haven't heard before. The regular slice was amazing at first glance - the crust looked so promising. Upon biting into the slice, you realize the crust is so think and practically non-existent in the best way possible. We got hints of wine from the sauce, giving it a rich depth that you wouldn't expect, but it went perfect with the cheese. There was a great char on the crust, and honestly, this was one of the best slices I've ever had - up there with all the greats. And don't start me on the "garlic knots" - basically a thin strip of a garlic white sicilian pie, which were so cheesy, so garlicy, and so phenomenal i couldn't stop eating! RUN, don't walk, to F&F for some of the best pizza you can find in NY.

Came here in the past and always a line out the door so didn't bother. Finally had a chance to try yesterday for late lunch with a friend when there were many empty tables inside, so no line and no waiting. We ordered a medium Margarita based pizza with pepperoni & roasted peppers toppings. We were really surprisd the pizza came out in less than 5 minutes after waiter served us our drink order. Upon biting into it, right away what popped up in my head is 'why is the pizza crust so soggy?' Maybe the knife & fork on the table should've been a dead give away. One saving Grace is the sauce does have a sweetness to it, not tangy like some other famous shop in the Village. And also the 2 toppings were tasty enough to save this dining experice. Before leaving the restaurant, asked our waiter about the crust, he said since restaurant wasn't busy, the kitchen had already pre-made the pizzas, so it was just a matter of heating it and bring it out, hence the fast service. Pro-tip: next time (a big if for this reviewer), one must ask the crust be 'well-done,' in order to get its texture to the desired degree of cripiness that one should expect from what should have been an iconic pizza place in NYC.

Situated at the corner of East 15th Street and Avenue J, the establishment was owned and managed by Domenico DeMarco (1936-2022), but now his family continues that legacy. Food critics and bloggers frequently rank it among the top pizzerias in New York City. Di Fara has received numerous accolades, including being named the "Best pizza in New York" by publications such as New York and Serious Eats. The New York Times described the restaurant as "one of the most acclaimed and sought-after pizza shops in New York City." In 2011, Zagat ranked it as the top pizza restaurant in the city, and in 2013, Frommer's called its pizza "the Best Hand-Made Pizza in New York City." Chef Anthony Bourdain also expressed admiration for the restaurant's pizza. I had long hoped to visit Di Fara, so I decided to make a trip from Connecticut. Upon entering, my son and I observed that it was quite busy. There is also a window for ordering, but we chose to go inside to order our food to experience the atmosphere fully. We each ordered a freshly prepared Sicilian slice. Unlike some places, there was no pre-made pizza on display. Each slice is made to order, and it takes about twenty-five minutes to prepare. When we received our pizza, it was notably greasy. The Sicilian slices resembled a full meal, topped with garlic and pepperoni. The garlic was quite prominent and flavorful, adding a nice punch which I liked. The pepperoni was crispy, and the undercarriage had a nice crunch, though it was also quite oily. In my personal opinion, it wasn't the best slice I've ever tasted. However, I understand that when the owner, Dom, was alive, the pizza was considered exceptional by many. I would rate it around 3.5 stars, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience pizza from one of New York's most iconic establishments.

I tried looking up this pizza from Target Richfield for a review, but it sent me to the NYC location, so forgive me if this review is in the wrong thread. Anyway, wow. I've been to New York City and ate at the original Joe's Pizza. What an epic slice of pizza. Now back home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the great white north of snow that never ends, I finally tried the frozen Di Fara pepperoni pizza from Target no less. Sorry Joe's, but this is on par with your pizza (if it was frozen). Dave Portnoy was right with his high review. This pizza is very good. The thick cut pepperoni, great basil, and the crisp chewy crust was excellent for a frozen pizza. Nice under carriage as well. I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. I added a drizzle of hot honey, and it was spectacular (okay, I also added some fresh picked jalapeños as well). The pizza was hot and melted in the center, and the crust was very crisp, but still had some chew. Wow. This was the best frozen pizza I have had. Bar none. New York, you spoiled me when it came to pizza. Now I can get a taste of New York at home. Great job! I may or may not eat the last 3 pieces currently sitting in the fridge before bed.

That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
