Surprisingly, I hadn't been here until recently. The food was so delicious! My toddlers both loved the chicken Pad See Ew. Of course, we had to try the Pad Thai and Tom Yum too -- both were amazing. My husband ordered the shrimp papaya salad, and it was really good as well. To finish everything off, the mango sticky rice was delicious. This is my second time ordering to go. The first time I ordered drunken noodles, tom kha soup, masaman curry. The soup and the curry were very good. I ordered it with seafood and fish. Very surprised how good the masaman curry with fish was. Drunken noodles was not good. Didn't have the basil flavor and the beef was dry. The next time I Ordered to go, I got the masaman curry with fish again, which was good again. Tom kha soup with shrimp, Also good. Tried two new dishes the crispy rice and crying tiger. I should have known that beef dishes aren't their specialty. The crying tiger was so bad. The steak cut they use was so lean and it had a huge fat cap and they cooked it well done which made it chewy. Not the crying tiger I was used to. Nice Thai restaurant at Garden grove. We came based on yelp review when we search for thai restaurant near where we were and we came during dinner. It was not busy. We arrived around 7:30 pm. The menu is comprehensive but not overwhelming. We ordered Tom yum soup, pad kee mao,stir fry noodle and pork rib with rice. For dessert we ordered mango sticky rice. The order was ready pretty quickly. The highlight was the porkrib and mango sticky rice. Pork rib was flavorful and tender. The sticky rice still warm which is the first time I had it warm. Not sure what Fa-Sai means, but you can bet they have delicious Thai food! When multiple dinner plans fell through tonight, we stumbled upon Fa-Sai Thai. We called in advance, and luckily they had seatings available. They were kind enough to ask how many so they could get our table ready. Fortunately, it was just hubbie and I. We ordered their pad Thai, pad see ew, and bbq pork ribs. They were all SO good. I love their crispy pork option for pad Thai, it is literally crispy pork bellies on top of delicious pad Thai. Yum. Their pad see ew noodles are nice and chewy, and each dish so flavorful. Hubbie and I both agreed to come back again. Service was also wonderful here. Fa-Sai Thai was the pick for a random Thai food craving at dinner time. Went here on a Saturday at around 8:00 pm and there were plenty of seating available. For parking, it's located in a large plaza, so that wasn't an issue. The service was very attentive and quick. The staff was helping in getting the sauces and lemon on request. For payment, they only accept cash or Zelle. When it came to the food, my girlfriend and I got the pad thai and the bbq combo. The bbq combo consisted of chicken, ribs, satay beef, and satay chicken. I loved the pad thai as it was a bit sweet but it tasted even better with the added lemon. I felt it was a good balance with the saltiness of the bbq combo. Ordered a couple items for takeout to try out. My go to for Thai is the pad see ew, this time with shrimp. The noodles themselves were food, sauce a little on the sweeter side if that's your preference. The only thing was the shrimp was quite mushy, as if it were possibly frozen for awhile or overcooked. So far, this is the best Thai Food in Orange County! My family visited Fa-Sai Thai for the first time and we were absolutely blown away. The tom yum soup is incredible -- rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The fish cakes are a must-order: crispy on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. We paired them with the fried rice and it made for such a satisfying meal. But the real showstopper? The mango sticky rice. Hands down the best I've had in Orange County -- sweet, creamy, and the mango was perfectly ripe. This was our first visit to Fa-Sai Thai but it definitely won't be our last. I went her roughly 2 weeks ago on a Sunday evening for dinner since I wanted to try out a new Thai place. To my surprise the food was really good! Portions were very good especially since other places would've charged the same for smaller. We ordered the Fried Tofu, Panang Curry, Fa-Sai Thai Fried Rice, and Pad Thai. As for the Pad Thai, I was shocked to see that the noodles were very small and thin because I'm used to wide noodles. However the flavor was superb. I love the ribs and rice here. The ribs are always meaty and tender. Sometimes I get it with the orange rice or with the shrimp fried rice. Another favorite is the pad see ew but I tried the pad kee mao this time and I think I prefer the pad see ew flavor and because it has carrots and Chinese broccoli The pad kee mao has bell peppers, onions, and broccoli and it was very good still. The chicken wing appetizer was crispy but a little too fatty and I'll pass on it next time. We got coconut sticky rice with ice cream for dessert. They put a maraschino cherry on top and it honestly made it less appetizing. I really don't do reviews and maybe this was a 1 time thing , but this Pad Thai was bad really bad the noodles where cut into small pieces and super soft like they were left over noodles, no carrots and the bean sprouts were already mixed in and cooked which made it worst I did not find any egg .This picture is how it came out . This Thai spot is near where I am and I used to come here quite often before Covid. They are a mom and pop place and have been a solid Thai spot in the area. I think throughout the years, the taste has changed a bit. I think it's gotten a bit more sweet in every dish.
