This has been my "local" shop for 25 years now. I got my first complete skateboard here and where I have bought almost every skateboard component I've needed for the last two and a half decades. Wow, they were so helpful to me! I came in during the smog fest recently. I had bought rollerskates online as well as bearings and bolts and things.. ;) Anyway, I started to put them together backwards and got nervous so I brought them in and they were so helpful and put them together perfectly and even undid some of the damage I did from trying to force things in the wrong way! I tried to pay, but they wouldn't hear of it and wouldn't let me leave a tip or anything. They had a great selection, so I also bought some socks to wear with my new rollerskates. This place is amazing and the service is awesome. I needed a wheel for a board, and the man in the store (may have been the owner) quickly gave me what I needed at a fair price without trying to upsell. As I was leaving, he asked if I had the board with me so he could help me get the wheels on , but I didn't have the board and thought I could do it myself. I went home and tried and determined I didn't have the right tools ( and really didn't know what I was doing), so I went back and he quickly replaced all the wheels. I asked him what I owed for that service and he said no charge since I bought the wheels there. We need to keep shops like this healthy as they provide a much better outcome than online stores! read more

First time here. We were looking for a new board for my daughters birthday present. Never bought a board before but FA Skateboard Shop helped us every step of the way. We started by choosing a board... they had about 50 different boards to choose from. Next we chose the wheels and bearings. They hooked us up with free grip tape. My daughter originally wanted to take everything home and set up the board on her own but when asked if she wanted it assembled she took the offer. I was happy with Jon, who helped us out. I have been to FA tons of times great staff. Super chill let you set up your board and don't try to sell you stuff 24/7. They play skate videos in the shop and they will pull boards down for you and let you stand on them to try them out. They have a big choice of board, wheels, trucks, bearings, grip and ect. They also will pull shoes out for you in the back. Always recommend FA skates. read more

A great local skate shop that is doing it the right way. They might be a small store, but all of the stuff is selected with care, and they always are bringing in the latest seasons and they have good deals to get rid of the stuff from last season. It might seem intimidating when you walk in especially if you are the only person in the store, but the staff is great and they are always ready to answer any questions. Finally I love their shop decks, they are cheaper than a name brand and just as good and always available in all types of graphics and sizes. read more

My son and I wandered into this store just for the heck of it and were amazed at the selection of skateboards and snowboards. Neither of us are coordinated or athletic in any way but just being in the store made me feel like I wanted to skate.
