Fabio's is one of my favorite gem homemade pasta spots. It's literally a hole in the wall! The best part is that it's 10 steps from the beach so you can enjoy your pasta while you watch the sunset. Perfect date night or hang with friends! The staff is so friendly and as a resident homemade pasta connoisseur, the food is a 10/10!
Delicious handmade pasta with an ocean view at a reasonable price? I don't think I can recommend Fabio's enough. Fabio himself was extremely kind and recommended some great pairings. Despite him being the only one working, our food was out very quick. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked with a nice texture. Both sauces were also very fresh, flavorful, and creamy. Solid portion sizes too. You order at the counter and sit outside. Either they call your name or bring it out to you. It can get a little cold at night, but there are heat lamps thoughtfully placed out by the tables. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well. The beautiful bowls are also such a memorable and unique touch. 100% recommend and I will certainly be back!

Dining outside with the ocean breeze really enhances the Venice experience. It can be a little challenging to find a table during busy times, but it's worth it. Service & Ambience: The owner was especially friendly and welcoming, which made the experience feel warm and personal. The seating area is shared with other businesses, so be sure to sit only at tables designated for the restaurant. Out of courtesy, we also returned our plates after finishing, which felt fitting for the laid-back, local setup.
Such a cute unassuming place in a side street off the Venice boardwalk. Just far enough to escape the noise. Cute walk up counter order, with quick service, and outdoor patio seating with heat lamps at night. The food was so fresh, the spaghetti feeling a little extra a la dente. The portions are very generous. We shared a cacio e pepe spaghetti and black truffle papparadelle pasta with added mushrooms. Dont forget the garlic bread, you could every table raving about it next to us! I preferred the truffle pasta over the pepe but they were both nice and creamy!
We went for a friends birthday dinner and I'm so glad I joined. I never knew this little gem existed. You almost don't know this place is there as it's literally a door in the wall with a Window. We ordered a plethora of items and everything was delicious. I especially liked the ravioli that was textured perfectly. The pesto was also really good as well as the spicy rigatoni. We completed the evening with a homemade tiramisu and it was everything I hoped it would be. Fabio was as fabulous as his food! He was smiling the entire time and you could tell took pride in what he cooked. I will certainly return!
This place is the real deal. Fabio, the owner, is truly Italian -- from Northern Italy -- and you can taste that authenticity in every bite. It's very much a hole-in-the-wall setup: you order at the counter, pay, and then Fabio personally brings your food to one of the small tables set up outside. The whole experience is minimal, efficient, and completely focused on quality. As an Italian born and raised in Italy, I find it very hard to eat pasta outside of Italy without being disappointed -- but this place is a true testament to how it should be done. The pasta is fresh, and the ingredients are divine. We tried the fettuccine with truffle and mushrooms and the rigatoni with basil and shrimp. We pretty much licked the plates clean. The outdoor seating is simple and cute, tucked into a little alley just a few steps from Venice Beach. It can get a bit breezy with the ocean air -- we visited in February -- but they have several outdoor heat lamps placed around the tables. I'd still recommend bringing an extra layer just in case. Being Venice Beach, you'll likely see some quirky characters strolling by, but that's part of the atmosphere. Parking-wise, there are paid lots nearby, but they can be expensive. I'd suggest parking a few streets away in the residential area where you can usually find free street parking.
I ordered the potato gnocchi with the black truffle sauce and added burrata. The gnocchi was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so beautifully balanced with black truffle. My boyfriend ordered the ravioli with marinara sauce and added Italian sausage as suggested by the gentleman taking our order. Ravioli was amazing!
Delicious and freshly made pasta right on the Venice Beach boardwalk! This spot has a variety of pasta options and sauce options to choose from with a variety of proteins and toppings to complete your pasta! Every order is made once you place it and it comes in a beautiful blue plate. I chose to get the Pappardelle with Arrabiata sauce with italian sausage and fresh burrata. It was simply amazing. The pappardelle was al dente and the arrabiata sauce had a great kick of spice and great tomato flavor. There was plenty of italian sausage in my plate and the fresh burrata on top was delicious and creamy. Eating my pasta on a colder night for dinner at one of the tables outside with people bustling around provided a unique and great atmosphere. The person helping me order was quite friendly and answered any questions I had. There is parking available in one of the nearby lots or you can park on one of the streets

A friend introduced me to this spot recently, and honestly... I get the hype! The unassuming window by Venice beach serving up delicious pasta, that you can enjoy under the sun with the sound of the waves - what's not to love!? I got spaghetti with pesto and burrata, and my friend got spaghetti alla vongole with shrimp. They were both fresh, perfectly cooked, and delicious! And decent portions too. If you are a pasta purist, you might wince at the chicken alfredo, but my friend, you are in the US after all. Fabio is incredibly friendly and treats you like a guest in his home. Highly recommend stopping by for plate of pasta, and stroll by the beach to burn it off. PS: Ask for chili flakes if you want a bit more of a kick! read more
WOW! What a surprise! Fabios Pasta is truly a hidden gem, the kind of cozy spot you might walk past but absolutely shouldn't. We came on a beautiful sunny day and immediately noticed how warm and personal the atmosphere felt. It was so sweet watching the owner interact with a regular, he knew their name and their usual order, which says a lot about the kind of place this is. My partner and I stopped by for a light bite and shared the fettuccine truffle mushroom pasta and their homemade tiramisu. The pasta was perfect, creamy, well-seasoned, and the truffle flavor was balanced (not overpowering like it can be at other places). You can really taste the care in the food. Fabio himself is incredibly welcoming and truly embodies the heart of Italian hospitality. If you're anywhere near Venice Beach, definitely give this place a try and support a local gem. This place is a hidden gem! Big variety of pasta that can be customized with different sauces and toppings for very reasonable price. It has seating outside overlooking the ocean and by the boardwalk - perfect for a beautiful sunny day. Very friendly staff. I'll be coming back again soon! read more

Definitely a safe and convenient choice for when you just want a quick dinner to end your night in the area. Super friendly and fun staff charming area however seating can't always be guaranteed. Now food is totally fine nothing too complex. Surprisingly fantastic bpunce on the pappardelle and meaty sauce but my gosh that cheese on top was cold and not melted in any way so kind of a let down. Raviolis were pretty decent nice filling but mild sauce. Overall a very nice meal after spending a day shopping and walking. read more

Service is amazing and Mike was amazing! And so I hate to be brutally honest but Food on the other hand, lacked in flavor. It looks good but trust me, it is not worth the price and just not worth it in general. The prices are expensive and the food isn't even decently good so I'm actually very confused as to why there is so many good reviews. read more

Absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend this spot enough. The pasta was absolutely incredible. Such a great price too for the massive portion they give. I got the fettuccini with marinara and burrata, such a classic and delicious pairing. The pasta is very obviously made in house from scratch, because it is so much better than other local pasta spots. My friend got the fettuccini with Alfredo sauce and loved it too! The tables outside in the sun are such a great addition, and the beautiful bowls they serve the pasta in really adds to the comfort of the whole experience. I will be coming back frequently, and bringing everyone I know. If you are nearby, you MUST stop at Fabio's. read more

The dishes were so flavorful, and with the pasta made fresh I could have kept eating! Fabio is also an excellent owner and host. We were waiting on the bench for a table to clear up and instead Fabio brought out a table to us. This small gesture allowed all customers to drink wine and be merry without feeling rushed! It is May 23, 2025. I am on a recreational trip by myself. This is my first time to stop into Fabio. It's situated along a series of shops and restaurants lining the Venice Beach walk. Today the weather was absolutely perfect. You will see from the pictures that Fabio is a small kitchen,. The outside seating is comfortable and fits the atmosphere of beach life. The menu, has extensive choices and combinations that one can do. I went with potato and gnocchi and a mushroom sauce. It was absolutely perfect. The gnocchi were tender but from enough not to be mushy. The sauce was exquisite. I had a Pellegrino, but they do have alcohol choices available. There was lovely live guitar music outside in the middle of the afternoon. This is a tremendous experience. I love places like this. Small but very high-quality and very intimate feeling. Burn outside in the ocean breeze is a real treat. read more

Me and my two kids randomly wanted pasta near the beach and found this place online and decided to try it And mama mia were we 100% satisfied with their fresh Italian pasta , wow. Disappointed. I got the basil pesto rigatoni with burrata cheese. It looked delicious, but unfortunately my pasta was cold like it had been sitting out for an hour and hard to chew. It was definitely harder than al dente which is how I like my pasta. The basil pesto lacked flavor. The guy who took my order was friendly and I got my order within 25min with 5 people ahead of me. read more
Came here for lunch with my mom. I ordered a pesto sauce and she got bolognese. We both got burrata. Service is at the door and they were very nice. Food is pretty good and I think their in house pasta is done quite well. My main complaint is that the sauce is actually quite bland. I didn't get a lot of flavor even when I scooped up all the sauce. Overall if you're at Venice looking for a nice meal in the area or something to eat while you're enjoying a beach day you could do a lot worse but as far as specifically pasta I think you can easily find much better pasta within a 5 mile radius. Plus you'd be able to get table service. read more

I'm so surprised this place doesn't have more reviews! My friend introduced me to Fabios, which he described as one of his favorite places as an LA local. It is just steps from Venice Beach, so we stopped by here for lunch before heading towards the water. The seating was outdoors, but we got lucky to find some shade in early afternoon when we went. The owner wasn't there on the day that we went, but his friend was there instead. He was very friendly and you could tell he cared about giving us the best experience possible. The food was homemade and definitely worth the wait. We ordered the black truffle fettuccine and the mushroom pappardelle, both of which were very delicious. The portion sizes were more than enough for us, so I brought some home and it was just as good when reheated. I would go to Venice Beach again just to have Fabios pasta. I can see why my friend loves this place so much and am curious to try the basil pesto sauce with a different pasta, all topped with burrata next. I'll be sure to bring at least one more friend so we can try the ravioli, too! read more

I ordered spaghetti marinara with barrata. They served me an orange sauce that tasted like hamburger helper. Plus the burrata was chewy inside and out. No taste of garlic or basil (AT ALL) like on the menu. I went back and they told me this was their marinara. Marinara has tomatoes, tomatoes are red. I've spent time in Italy and lived in NYC for a decade, have had marinara with pasta too many times to count, and whatever that orange pad thai thing was, is the WORST "Marinara" I've ever had in my life. Cheap brand Ragu is superior to their "Marinera" Sauce. read more
