Squid Ink Bavette and Moringa Agnolotti
    Melissa C.

Came here for my birthday dinner and was a bit disappointed with some of the food and even more disappointed with the service. The servers acted like they really did not want to serve us, and they were really rude when we were ordering, asking for extra plates, and asking if they did anything special for birthdays (they don't). Portions are not big. Cozy ambiance with nice plants outside. Found metered street parking easily on a Wednesday night. No reservations allowed. Focaccia: 2/5. I expected it to be fluffy and pillowy soft like how other places do focaccia, but it was honestly rock hard here and a bit too salty. Lasagna Classica Al Ragu: 5/5. Honestly the best lasagna I've ever tasted! Really good and well balanced flavors, just wish the portion was bigger. Squid Ink Bavette: 4/5. Lots of crab flavor with some crab bits on the side! The flavor was a bit one dimensional though. Moringa Agnolotti: 3/5. I only had 1 piece, but this is an extremely cheesy and buttery dish! It would definitely be too hearty and heavy to eat as your own dish. I really liked the cheese they used, but my brother and dad really did not like this dish cuz of how sour the cheese was to them. Colonne di Pompeii with Burrata: 3.5/5. Honestly one dimensional flavor in my opinion, but they were extremely generous with the burrata (an extra $6), and the pasta was very al dente. You can definitely tell they make the pasta in house. I would maybe consider coming back for the lasagna if a friend wanted to try this place, but I will not be returning on my own accord.

What a hidden gem! All the pastas we got were delicious and gave such a warm feeling. They don't take reservations so best to get there early. The olive oil cake was also delicious

This place is a little small but cute. The outside sitting was nice and they had the heaters for cooler nights. Our waitress was really nice and knowledgeable about the ingredients. Most importantly the food was really delicious! I ordered the Colonne di Pompeii with burrata. I could tell the pasta was freshly handmade and cooked to perfection. The sauce was a spicy red sauce. I've never had long fusilli before but it was fun and interesting. I also opted to add burrata which was an amazing choice for a creamy dynamic flavor. My friend ordered the lasagna, which I sampled, and thought it was done really well! It's not easy to find a good lasagna. I will have to go back and order it for myself next time. Also, the lasagna is made with 100% beef, no pork.

The staff was helpful and friendly. Their burrata cheese was excellent. They have fresh pasta that is perfect. Cudos to the chefs and staff!!

I arrived right when they opened and I'm glad I did. This place fills up quick! I was greeted by the chef! Once seated Bianca approached me, I told her it was my first time, she sat down with me and literally went through the menu! I felt right at home and so cozy! I ordered the lasagna! It was amazing! The pasta was fresh and the layers so thin! Very good! If you're looking for amazing Italian food with a cozy, home feeling get here at 5pm!

Service here is insanely slow!!!! We were outside waiting for an hour on a Thursday night with a super disorganized waitlist and it was immediately evident why when we entered. They take orders very slowly and the food also comes out slowly. However, the pasta was amazing and almost worth the lengthy wait. Colonne was perfect spicy, acidic, and creamy with the burrata mixed in. I'd highly recommend this one, particularly with the burrata! Bucatini was like anchovy buttered noodles and tasted similar to clam but not as memorable. Their pasta is on the firmer side overall, which is my personal preference. I'd love to try the beet pasta (the brown butter smelled phenomenal) and the tiramisu! Would pass on the focaccia though -- way too salty and tasted stale.

This place is great! The food is so good - had the lasagna and calamarata pasta, both of which were absolutely delicious. For the price of the food the quality is outstanding. It's a small, intimate restaurant which added to the ambiance. We did experience a couple of sad things, namely some menu items we wanted to try being sold out for the night and a lack of a full bar. Neither of those things were really the restaurant's fault though, just us being unaware and also getting there half an hour before close. We'll be going back to try the things we didn't get the chance to the first time!

10/10 what an experience. Showed up around 5:30pm and there was a 30 minute wait, not bad for a saturday night! ambiance is nice, outdoor seating has heat lamps, it is comfy and lively, but still feels very intimate. simple fresh ingredients, everything is cooked to perfection. great serving sizes, i was satisfied after finishing my plate, but still had room for dessert! tiramisu is flavorful, but not too decadent or overwhelming. love love loved the squid ink pasta with crab, sauce is rich and i loved the texture of the noodles and how the sauce clings to them. each bite was perfect, and i never wanted it to end.

Checked out this gem after a friend recommended it, and wow, so good! I went on a weekday around 6pm and got seated within 10 min, but by the time I left there were groups waiting outside. It's a small spot with indoor and outdoor seating, so go early if you can. I ordered the Colonne di Pompeii, which had the perfect level of spice and incredibly fresh, homemade pasta with the right bite. My friend had the Moringa Agnolotti and loved it. We also tried the focaccia, which had great oil flavor but was a bit salty on the top for my taste. Parking is all meters and can be tricky. Overall delicious, and can't wait to come back!

Came here for a dinner date with my boyfriend and we are definitely coming back. Our waitress said it right before we were about to say it ourselves, "the best pasta in town." We ordered the Colonne di Pompeii / Vesuvio, Moringa Agnolotti / Piemonte, and the Lasagna Classica al Ragù / Emilia. Which we were told are top favorites on the menu. We originally saw this place on Instagram and it looked good so we thought we'd give it a try. It went beyond expectations. Sometimes food videos on Instagram can be misleading or gimmicky , but this restaurant goes above and beyond what they show. Our top favorite had to be the Lasagna. My bf ordered it and described it as an authentic homemade dish that you can't find anywhere else. As someone who is usually not a fan of lasagna, this dish just made me realize I just never had a good one. This has to be the best one I've ever tried. It completely changed my mind. The Colonne di Pompeii is also so fun to try, it's a good spicy and the cheese on top gives it the perfect mix. I ordered the Moringa as a Truffle lover. It's also a fantastic dish. The pasta itself is so soft and tender. It is heavy on the butter, but has a great flavor to it. I would order all 3 of these again and the menu has so many more to try. It doesn't stop there. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress was so kind and funny. I wish we got her name. She was very down to earth and always checking in to make sure our meal was good. The other staff in the restaurant also greet you and are very welcoming. The best way to describe the ambiance is how my bf described it at the table, "it feels like we're in Italy, like this is the closest you can get to an authentic decoration and style". It feels classy and homey all at once. This restaurant deserves above a 5 star. What a find! I will be recommending this to many others.

Love the vibe here! So quaint and the service is incredible. Got 3 pastas and focaccia to share. Spicy Fusilli was delicious (def get burrata on it!) The red beet ravioli was my favorite. So unique and fresh. I would do without the agnolotti next time. It's tasty but very dense and rich. Definitely want to try some others!

Colapasta is a cute and quaint restaurant with a mix of intimate, but also a go go type of ambiance that is perfect to take your significant other or catch up with friends over a great bowl of pasta. The service was absolutely amazing and I wish I had gotten my servers name but she was a joy and you could tell she loved her job! The two dishes we got were also very flavorful but I just feel like it was missing a little more to put it over the top. The squid ink bavette definitely takes the cake with being my favorite and I would give it around a 8.5/10. I definitely want to go back for another round and I think it will bring up my rating for sure! Go check Colapasta out!

Gramigna Bolognese with gluten free pasta
    Kerry N.

This place is DIVINE, Colapasta is a favorite in our household. It really does live up to the Michelin hype, it's simple but so well done and the prices are great. They secretly have gluten free pasta available (even though not on the menu) and there is no up charge and it is always cooked to the perfect al dente, truly heaven sent! I always get the bolognese, it's my favorite in the city. My boyfriend has tried multiple dishes and loved them all, but today he got the spaghetti al Nero which was unique and a delicious and different from a usual pasta night out. There are no reservations so you usually have to stand out front and wait, but it's worth it. The ambiance is great and home-y and the servers are always so nice.

Are there heaters on your patio dining area?

Yes, several. We never had a problem with warmth...enjoy your fantastic meal

How many tables do they have outdoors as of october 5 2021?

Approximately 7. Small restaurant. Exceptional food!

Do they take parties of 5? The outdoor patio doesn't seem very large

Yea they do I saw 7 inside

Have they created a desert menu yet?

I don't know about a menu, but I saw other tables ordering dessert when I went.

Did they get their wine and beer license yet?

Yes! Now serving excellent beer and wine at very reasonable prices.

    Are there any vegan options?

I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure the salad could be vegan, and the pasta is home made, so if it's a real italian pasta there will be no eggs in the pasta, but please do make sure to ask them about it.

They have metal tables and chairs with loud speakers blasting music that echoes throughout the space. Add in loud crowds and kids dropping utensils, and it makes the whole environment pretty unpleasant. As for the food, we ordered the garlic knots, a croissant, the hanger steak, the peach and hot honey pizza, and the wood-fired vanilla bean pound cake for dessert. We covered a good amount of their key items. The main takeaway is that while everything is cooked well, but the dishes really lack flavor. I dine out to get flavors that are not easily made at home, and unfortunately, I did not find them here. The food lacks depth, and frankly, it needs salt to make it stand out. The pizza dough is actually really well prepped, easily as good as Pizzeria Sei, which is the best pizza place in LA, period. But again, it just lacks flavor. Also, as a small side note, there is a 4% employee health insurance surcharge added to the final bill. I probably just missed it listed on the menu somewhere, but oh well. Overall, it is a decent place, but I would not go out of my way to come back here.

Spicy pomodoro is perfectly al dente and a well-balanced sauce. But, my favorite-- the agnolotti! Wow, melt in your mouth! The flavor profiles of corn, crème fraiche, and old bay were delicious. We came on a Thursday night as a group of four and the place was pretty busy. From everything I've heard, Cento is one of the more popular pasta spots in LA right now, so I was excited to finally try it. We started with the radicchio salad which was delicious. Light, refreshing, and tangy, a great way to start the meal. For pasta, we ordered the Spicy Pomodoro, Sweet Corn Agnolotti, Broccoli Bucatini, and the Cavatelli Finocchio. Honestly, it was hard to pick a favorite because every single one was excellent. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the sauces were flavorful, and each dish felt unique. My only complaint is that the portions are a little small. I understand they're meant for sharing, but to be honest I probably could have eaten all four by myself. At around $30 per plate, this definitely isn't a cheap meal. One thing that was a little disappointing was that it was my fiancée's birthday and I had noted it on the reservation. We noticed another table receiving what looked like a special birthday dessert, but nothing was mentioned for us. My fiancée didn't want me to ask about it, so we just let it go and ended up getting dessert elsewhere. Not a huge deal, but it was a bit of a letdown. That said, the food itself was absolutely outstanding. If you're a pasta lover, this place is definitely worth checking out.
