Stopped in for my first time yesterday and was really impressed. It's some seriously delicious Ramen in a really casual and clean setting. It's located really close to where I live in Venice and there is plenty of parking right out front attached to the shopping center it's located in. Inside is not very large, however, they have plenty of tables for groups from 2 to 4 as well as some counter seating if you are a party of one. The menu is pretty small, but it has all the classic Ramen options on it. I was also impressed with how quick our food was ready, it came out in less than 10 minutes and had some really great flavors. Pricing is really fair and the portion sizes were significant. For my first visit I chose the Spicy Tonkotsu which is pork broth with roasted pork. I usually prefer beef or chicken with Ramen, but really enjoyed this pork version. It was not very spicy, but the pork itself was really delicate and had a lot of great flavor to it. It was also a good sized portion so there was plenty of noodles and ground chicken as well. We also ordered some Fried Rice and thought it was fantastic. Both dishes really hit the spot and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area or to anyone searching for some of the better Ramen spots in LA.

If you're on a quest to find the most authentic Ramen I've ever had (apologies I don't have any other reference point or context I can offer you) This is the place. In the most unassuming strip mall between just off of the boardwalk between Venice Beach and Monterey Bay...you have found it. I usually eat most of the broth from my Ramen and leave about 1/2 to 3/4 of the noodles because they're so heavy and filling. I've realized this is because I've never had truly fresh, handmade ramen noodles made in the traditional way. I've had noodles claiming to be handmade and they've been a step above the packaged and preserved version served in a lot of restaurants. But it's different when you can see the chef preparing the noodles in piles and placing them into the steaming broth. It's a total game changer when it comes to the texture and entire experience. I had the Spicy Tonkatsu with the ground pork and have decided it will be my final meal request, ever. The college kid ordered the Shoyu...she had read it's the one they're most famous for. (I haven't mentioned this kid loves food as much as I do and in particular, specializes in South Korean, Japanese, and some other Asian regions I can't remember how to spell right now, but will look it up) She instantly knew about Venice Ramen when it came up on Yelp, and had heard about it from her online communities because apparently they're known for their authenticity and handmade noodles. I digress... the ramen was incredible. The restaurant is small with only a few tables and the woman was quick to greet us and have us seated. The portions are actually reasonable and manageable, and I happily finished my entire bowl, noodles and all.

I wouldn't say this was the best ramen I've ever had, but it was a solidly good ramen, and it definitely hit the spot! I went on a Saturday afternoon and waited about 5min for a table for two. Overall this is a great place for a quick hot broth-y pick me up

Here, tastes just like ramen in Japan! The chefs making the ramen clearly have pride in their work, and the atmosphere feels great.

It's one of the best Chuka Soba I had in the US. Side of Fried chicken and Gyoza was huge. Fried rice was authentic Japanese style. All foods were great.

So I've been wanting to try this place since it's voted one of the best ramen places in LA. Came here on a Monday around 1pm for lunch. The restaurant is really small on the inside with maybe only 5-6 tables. Service was really fast. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen which actually isn't spicy at all. It has a kick but that's about it. And I can't really handle spicy food. The noodles are handmade fresh there and you can really tell. They're so soft and perfectly cooked! The broth had great flavor! Overall it was really good and I would definitely come back. Easy shopping center parking.

Very small space. The staff were attentive. The ramen was yummy. I think that the hype of this place made my expectations a bit too high. The ramen was good but just about everything else was just okay.

The first time I came to Venice Ramen, it was because I asked the sushi chef at Matsuhisa where his favorite Japanese restaurant was. He said his wife, who is from Hakata (aka birth place of Tonkotsu ramen) loves this spot, and they believe Venice Ramen serves the best ramen in Southern California. Naturally, I had to try it for myself. The first time, I ordered the Vegetable Ramen--it looked like a good Japanese Tanmen. It was good, but I wouldn't have called it the best. Over the next several visits, I tried the gyoza, beer, karaage, and Salt Tonkotsu. Everything was solid, but again, not quite the "best" in my opinion. Then last week, I finally discovered why people love this place: their Shoyu Tonkotsu. It's authentic and delicious --perfectly cooked thin straight al dente noodles, broth is clean but has depth. To my surprise, I also learned that their original location is Ramen Hide Honten in Kyodo, Tokyo--right near where I grew up! Venice ramen serves their original Tokyo-Tonkotsu style (tonkotsu-based soup with a rich soy sauce flavor and a perfect balance of depth and lightness) ramen. Now that I know what to order, I can confidently say Venice Ramen is one of the best places to enjoy authentic ramen, especially for Japanese people craving a taste of home.

Love being able to see the kitchen! Server was super friendly.

We loved this authentic ramen restaurant nearby the Marriott where we were staying. We had driven by it earlier during our stay and I saw that they made their own noodles. So I definitely wanted to try it! I loved the "Irrashimase!" greeting as we entered. It took us back to Japan!! The servers were friendly and efficient. We didn't wait long at all for our orders. Hubby went with the spicy chicken tonkotsu ramen. I ordered the shio tonkotsu. We both enjoyed the delicious broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The decor took us back to the ramen shops in Japan where we had lived. We will definitely go back when in the area!

I wish I could give them 4.5 stars because we really loved the food so much! This is a bit of a hole in the wall spot because it had pretty bare bones interior. Not a lot of seating so it was good that we got there kind of late but there were still a couple of others taken. But like good ramen shops in Japan, the tables turn over pretty quickly. I got the Chuka Soba, which is a chicken and pork broth. Wife got the Tonkatsu Soy Sauce. Son and girlfriend got spicy Tonkatsu and Tonkatsu salt. Everyone really enjoyed their food! The Chuka Soba has thicker noodles, which i really liked because it had really good texture. And the broth was really flavorful but not too heavy. Wife really loved hers as well! Quick but very satisfying meal!! Will be back!

This small and unassuming shop on the lower level of a Venice strip mall punches above its weight when it comes to quality ramen. I ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu bowl, and it reminded me a lot of the ramen I had when I visited Tokyo in years past. The bowl had a good amount of flavor and texture to broth, the handmade noodles that were the perfect softness, and the chashu pork was just the right amount of fatty. But the Spicy Tonkotsu ramen is the shop's signature dish and has a good little kick of spice in it that is not at all overbearing and is instead totally delicious. I am the type of person who likes a little bit of spice in my food, but never wants to break a sweat or be chugging down water to avoid overheating, and this bowl hits that sweet spot perfectly. The shop is small so seating and parking can be a challenge during peak hours, and the pandemic era has limited these things even more, but for $13 this is a pretty tough spot to beat. I've found a new go to bowl of ramen in the area!

We were lucky to find a metered parking that already had money in it, yay! There are a bunch of eateries on this street as well. It's a small restaurant inside, but more space outside. Not that busy at all, there were only 2 other parties dining at the same time as us during prime dinner time. I saw they were running a Demon Slayer promotion and I wanted the free spoon haha. So I ordered the Tokyo Yatai Ramen and my friend ordered the Birria Ramen. The waiter or owner(?) who talk our order was also very nice! Very quick and efficient with our order. It didn't take too long for our ramen to be prepared. First glance, it doesn't look like your traditional ramen. It actually looks more Chinese style ramen. Especially the noodles? The texture is not quite the same as traditional ramen shops (and I have been to Japan). The ramen bowl itself was pretty simple, strong flavors from the chicken broth, the pork itself was pretty alright. It's honestly pretty standard but does not have a Japanese feel to it. I tried my friend's Birria Ramen and it's literally tastes like a taco in a bowl haha, which is pretty accurate. So even my Chinese friend likes the birria ramen because it reminds of her this Chinese instant noodle she always has lol. So I guess meaning in a good and bad way, but she still enjoyed it. Overall, the whole experience was not bad. I do only see JINYA in the more 'whiter' communities, so I find this to be not very authentic Japanese ramen. We were on a girls' weekend in L.A. and spent the day touring my daughter's friend around all the famous landmarks the city has to offer. After driving out to the Santa Monica Pier, we had worked up a serious appetite. A quick Yelp search led us to this ramen restaurant, and we whipped the car around and made a beeline straight for it. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated on the patio. We were hoping for seats near the fire pit, but those are definitely a hot commodity and fill up fast. Our server was quick, friendly, and helpful with menu suggestions. I ordered the Spicy Vegan Creamy Ramen. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and I was really impressed with how accommodating they are for meatless diners. They have several vegetarian and vegan choices, and most dishes can be modified for most dietary preferences. Our food came out quickly, piping hot, and beautifully presented. One bite of my ramen and I was instantly in heaven. It was so good that I finished the entire bowl in record time. I would have ordered a second one, but I was completely full. I honestly feel like I could eat this every day of my life and never get tired of it. Our server kept our glasses full and checked on us regularly. The service was top-notch and made a relaxing end to a long day of sightseeing. It truly was an awesome experience. On my second visit, I was in town with my family, and I told them we were not leaving L.A. without eating here first. We came on a Saturday, and the restaurant was pretty packed. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, and to my surprise, we scored the fire pit seats I had wanted so badly the first time. Sitting next to the fire, feeling the warmth and watching the flames dance in the evening air, made the experience even more special. The second visit was just as great as the first. Great service, a relaxing atmosphere, and incredible food from start to finish. I truly enjoyed every minute of it. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend Jinya Ramen Bar. Trust me, it is absolutely worth it.
