We frequented this sandwich shop when we were traveling in Florence and Rome. Pleasantly surprised to see they have a store in Venice and decided to give it a shot. Sandwiches here are not as good as the ones in Italy, but pretty great for what I'd expect here. Got the l'italiana and the la schiacciata del boss. Both were good in their own way but I'd say the truffle cream in the del boss sandwich is an excellent umami boost. I got the Venice sandwich it come with turkey mozzarella cheese and tomatoes this was amazing it was so delicious the flavors were on point best sandwich I ever had. Super super yummy!!! The line was pretty long and there was very little seating but we did go at lunch time on a Saturday. The L'Inferno was really heavy and not my preference but it was cool that they serve nduja. I've been meaning to try this spot for a while now and was excited to finally make it out to one of the locations. It's nice they have a lot of locations but keep in mind they all have different closing times. This location is pretty small and cozy but they have a split of both indoor counter seating and outdoor table seating. Parking is all street parking. Service here is very friendly! For the food, I ended up ordering the L'italiano since I was intrigued by the pistacho cream and it did not disappoint. The prosciutto was also good quality and wasn't super stringy. I like many others first saw this sandwich shop on Instagram. I was so excited when they opened in the US. I knew it would be one of my stops if I went to Vegas. Well, I went to Vegas and fell in love. I went to LA a few weeks later and you better believe I stopped by this location to get my fix again. I ordered the Paradiso, I am a huge mortadella fan, and pistachio and I'm in heaven. My sandwich was done is about a minute and I was on my way to pay and out the door. It was very easy and fairly quick. The bread was soft and warm, the mortadella was perfect and the pistachio cream was something completely unexpected. To say it was pistachio cream made me think of a white cream sauce with pistachio, NO, this was more a pistachio butter and then more pistachios layered on top of it. The cheese that is added is also a perfect compliment. I don't even have words to describe how unbelievably good this sandwich is. All employees were fantastic. They are very welcoming and are happy to answer any questions. It's in a very congested area, pretty much street parking, but I was able to find parking a few blocks away. read more

My friend took me here as I've been staying out in the westside and said this is a must try. I completely agree, must-try mind blowingly good sandwiches! Tried the La Favosa and it was amazingly good! The menu is a little too Italian as I honestly did not understand what I was trying to order. But my friend recommended the La Favosa, which was salami and eggplant. The eggplant sounded odd but holy amazingly sandwiche on my first bite! The bread is really good here. Tastes freshly made and fluffy, lightly toasted to create some warmth for every bite. I have been wanting to grab a sandwich from here for a while and finally tried it out the other week. I ordered La Paradiso because it's such a hot commodity, and it didn't disappoint!! The sandwich is very large and the flavor is delicious. It's pretty expensive IMO, but so yummy. The people working there were also so friendly. I could only eat half and put the remaining half in the fridge for later, but also never felt super compelled to pick up the other half again because, while very mild in flavor overall, the taste was pretty distinct and I just didn't find myself craving it again after my first half. Now that it's been a couple weeks I would totally get the sandwich again, but I think I'd want to split it with someone. I think it might be the kind of meal that you really enjoy while you're having it, but you don't really want for leftovers. Does that even make sense? LOL Anyway, the sandwich was delicious. I was really excited to try All' Antico Vinaio as I'd heard about it from a friend. We stopped in today for lunch and while it was good, I wasn't that impressed. I did love the bread and the Italian potato chips but the sandwich itself was not good, not bad. I had the New Yorker-Roast Beef, porcini cream, tomato and arugula. I substituted the gorgonzola cream for the porcini cream and it was a bit overpowering (and I love gorgonzola!) The sandwich was huge and I couldn't even finish half. The Italian chips were delicious and I may or may not have stuck some inside my sandwich! Seating is on the outside patio or inside at a small counter. Service is quick and not much ambience inside. Great location, easy to walk around and check out the little shops nearby. I had originally tried them in Florence and the quality was definitely there. The bread is amazing, the ingredients are really good and the combinations are all worth trying. This time I got the LA Broadway and it was pretty good. The stracciatella gave it an amazing balance, the arugula made it taste super fresh, the zucchini was good, the pistachio cream started to feel very overwhelming and sweet as I got to the second half but thankfully the sun-dried tomatoes gave it the saltiness it needed. I would order this again. My partner got LA Schiacciata del Boss. It was also really good. The first few bites are amazing. The combination of prosciutto and and pecorino start to feel a little too salty and overwhelming and the truffle cream is really good but also a strong flavor. I feel like sharing two sandwiches between two people is the way to go because although the flavors are amazing, they also start feeling too much. The portions are also big enough. Perhaps you'll still be hungry if you share a whole sandwich between two people but eating one whole sandwich will leave you full and satisfied and you can just go walk it off afterwards. The service was good. The line was not that big but it goes really fast. They have a smooth process and make it right in front for you. The workers are not the friendliest though, they even seem a bit intimidating. They will answer your questions but they won't interact or engage. Strictly business. Third, and related to the first two, is that despite getting a lesser experience you are paying a premium price! The combination of these, coupled with the fact of how good the original is, means I can't really give them more than 4 stars.
