    Argentinean asado, Sundays only
    Ron F.

Updating my review to 5 stars! Returned for the Argentinean asado on Sundays. Steak, short rib, chicken, sausage, morcilla, sweetbreads, a skewer of chicken hearts, an app of pork intestines, potatoes & a salad. An awesome feast!!

Came on Sunday for the $40 steak, chicken and pork dinner. I substituted the pork with more beef. Came with fries and a salad. Really delicious and flavorful. Will be coming back.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Santino's. We had read about its return to the original location after more than a decade, and it really does feel like a homecoming the moment you walk in. There's an easy, welcoming vibe, with sports on TV and family cooking on the grill in the back. It all just works. We started with the Gambas al Ajillo and Tortilla Española, then went for the grill dinner for two. Everything was spot on. The apps were flavorful, and the grilled meats were cooked perfectly, with plenty to share. Would definitely recommend, this place is a gem. Grill platter are available Sundays only.

Grateful for the service grateful for the good food would definitely return again. Pesto with some of the best I've had in a long time I appreciated the eggplant that came out. I love anything pickled the solid is something that I want to try to duplicate. I came on kind of a quiet day. I would love to come on a more lively day and see other people enjoying their time. I can't wait for my next time back at my neighborhood spot.

My wife and i we used to come to this place very often and we were heartbroken when they closed but after 10 years they are back at the same location, same owner, same chef and same delicious food.

    Live music Thursday

Wow. Walked in and greeted with amazing live music (Thursday), food and service just as great. The empanadas are worth the trip by themselves! Looking forward to next Thursday. Support this new local restaurant.....this is the type of place that makes Santa Monica/Venice great.

So, of course, there was no follow-up or getting more drinks, etc., because she was super busy handling the whole place by herself. She said that's how it is normally staffed. I suggest you know what you want, and if you want more than one drink, you might just order two because you'll likely not have a chance to order another. It happened to be happy hour. There were a few drink specials but nothing that was that great, same with the food choices. I had the Jonah's Burger. $18. Not on the HH menu. It came with a few bite-sized fried crispy potatoes, which were very good. They have a wood fire grill so I was expecting a wood-fired taste, but I didn't notice it. It was pretty good, but not remarkable...and if you don't have a big mouth, you'll not be able to get a good bite of all of it. My friend had the Peruvian Yellowtail Ceviche. $26.Not on the HH menu. He liked it, but didn't rave about it. It's about the size of a hockey puck. I'd say order something else. For dessert, we had a serving of berry pie ala mode. It was perfect! It was the perfect size for sharing. The one and only server was awesome. So all kinds of kudos to her. Still, I won't likely be back because having just one server took a lot away from the experience. They do have another person who brings out your food, so you don't have to wait too long once you order your food. Regarding parking, I'm not sure. We were lucky and found a meter right in front. Not sure if they have any parking other than street parking. It's a really cool place. If you don't mind waiting a while for service, you'll enjoy the atmosphere.

We were greeting by a friendly staff member, perhaps the owner, who helped us with our empanada selection. We got spicy chicken, spicy beef, corn, and criolla empanadas. I strongly recommend the Criolla empanada, which is the most traditional, Argentinian empanada. It has ground beef, raisins, eggs, green onions, and spices. It was absolutely delicious and, when I go back, I will select this empanada!! I also recommend the corn empanadas (humita), especially if you're looking for a vegetarian option. It has corn, melted mozzarella, and white sauce. So delicious! I got these to go, but there are cute tables indoors and outdoors if you want to enjoy your empanadas there. They also sell mate and other Argentinian goodies like alfajores. Prices are reasonable; you can purchase just a few or a dozen. This has become my favorite empanada place!

They constantly checked on us, asked if everything was to our liking, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. That level of attention and hospitality made our celebration even more special. The food quality was incredible--every cut of meat was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and everything exceeded our expectations. In my opinion, this is the best Fogo de Chão I've visited and one of the best Brazilian dining experiences I've ever had. To finish the evening, we ordered the Chocolate Brigadeiro and the Cheesecake Brûlée. Both desserts were absolutely amazing, beautifully presented, and the decorations made them feel extra special. They were the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. A huge thank you to Moises and the entire team for making our family gathering such a memorable experience. The atmosphere immediately stood out -- it has a warm European-style charm that feels elegant without being stiff. Cozy lighting, intimate spacing, and a relaxed energy made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. The food was exceptional across the board. The caviar cigar and caviar set were highlights -- rich, refined, and perfectly balanced rather than overwhelming. The Branzino was beautifully cooked with clean flavors and great texture. For dessert, the chocolate soufflé was outstanding -- you rarely see soufflé offered anymore, and this one was done properly: light, airy, and deeply chocolatey. We also ordered another dessert (name unfortunately forgotten) that included three cream puffs each topped with a scoop of ice cream. Before serving, the staff performed a flame presentation -- almost like a small tableside ceremony -- which was both entertaining and theatrical, and it actually tasted as good as it looked. Service deserves special recognition. Our server, a well-dressed gentleman whose name I sadly didn't catch, delivered truly outstanding hospitality. He consistently checked on our experience in a natural, non-intrusive way and clearly cared about the guests enjoying the night. His professionalism elevated the entire dinner. Between the ambiance, memorable dishes, and attentive service, this was a restaurant experience rather than just a meal. I will absolutely be coming back -- both for the food and for that level of service.
