I loved the decor and vibe of this place. Very Venice beach but it's technically in Marina Del Rey. The waitress was very attentive and accommodating although I didn't need much. I went in about 7 pm and it wasn't busy. Just a few people there. The food was tasty. Not out of this world but average for a pho spot. Would I go back? Probably yes, if I couldn't find another spot. Pricey for a pho spot.

10/10 always. Not only is the pho amazing, but so is everything else. The pad see ew is some of the best around it's so flavorful. All of the apps are amazing too. The woman who runs the place (maybe the owner) is really sweet. Also love the vibes inside. Frequent customer and will continue to be!

I have a simple test for pho. Once I try it somewhere, I observe my reaction every time I drive by. If i'm salivating, or suddenly craving it, then it's a hit, and a must try. If I'm not dripping saliva like a French Mastiff, then it's a pass. Pho MDR? Yeah... I crave it almost every time. The only thing stopping me from pulling over constantly is the parking situation--if there's not a spot out front, I keep going. (L.A. problems.) In the last month, I've been here six times. That should tell you everything. My go-to? The pho with rare beef loin. Simple, consistent, absolutely delicious. The broth is the star--rich and savory without being oily or heavy. Unlike a lot of pho joints where your bowl looks like it's been dunked in a fryer, this one's clean, comforting, and just hits the spot. It's reliable, dependable, and unlike my dating life... predictable. My other staple here? The Pad See Ew. It's a family favorite, and while not every pho spot nails it, this one does. It has that nostalgic street vendor flavor from the motherland. One bite, and I'm in Southeast Asia. Dessert? Mango sticky rice. Yes, yes--I know it's more Thai than Vietnamese. But do I care? No. Why? Because it's food porn, plain and simple.

Service 4.6/5 Food 4.1/5 Value 4.25/5 A cute little spot right on Washington boulevard, which makes it really hard to park. I would suggest the neighborhoods for parking but pay attention to street signs! The food was pretty good. The most important thing for me in pho are the broth and meat. The broth was nice and flavorful, and I could definitely see myself drinking every bit of the soup. In my opinion however, there was not much meat, especially since they give you a huge bowl (and charge accordingly as well). At $18, I would expect just a bit more meat to where I didn't run out within the first couple bites. Otherwise, I love the vibe of the restaurant; it's definitely a cute date spot!

Love their MDR crispy wings. I don't like "soggy" wings and they are crispy and hot just right! Also nice bowl portion of PHO! The indoor vibe is kinda funky like with the red lighting and the art, the club music, street vibes etc. They also have mango rice that's good. Parking is on the street or on the side if you have it. Limited spots. About 8 tables inside so it's not big. 6 (four tops) and 2 (2 tops). There is a handicap ramp on the side entrance which helps if you have mobility challenges. The main front entrance has a high step (one step) and is narrow to get in. Definitely a "neighborhood". Mostly locals here. Also tried their Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Garlic Beef. One thing to note, no outside food or drink and no public restrooms. They also automatically add the tip to the bill at 18% and for parties 6+ is 20%. None of it is retained by the owner, 100% service charge goes to the staff working.

Phi MDR is a very cute and unassuming hole in the wall pho place. There are only street spaces so parking might be a bit of a challenge at certain times of the day. The inside of the place is small and has some themed pho & Vietnamese food art painted on the wall, which is a nice touch. The service was swift and the portions were ample. We ordered the beef loin pho & chicken pho as well as the egg rolls with pork. All the great flavors were there- the beef was tender, and the broth was nice and hot. We thought the pork spring rolls were pretty great too. We left very full and satiated, it definitely hit the spot!

Solid spot for pho and Vietnamese comfort food in the Marina. The broth is flavorful and not too salty, which is a win, and the portions are generous. I had the filet mignon pho -- meat was tender and came out perfectly rare before warming up in the broth. Also tried the crispy spring rolls and garlic noodles, which were both solid. The space is casual and clean, service is friendly but no-frills. Tip for first-timers: if you like your pho spicy, ask for extra chili oil on the side -- they don't overdo it by default. Great for a quick lunch or casual dinner when you're craving something warm and satisfying.

Pleasantly surprised with this spot and honestly didn't even know it existed until tonight. It was a cold and misty evening and they were definitely short handed, but they hustled hard and the wait for food wasn't bad at all, although we did have to ask for our drinks a couple times. The veggie spring rolls with garlic beef were delicious. The pho portion was massive and all the flavors were there. Tender beef, super fresh toppings and a nice clean broth really hit the spot. Interior is kind of strange as they made it feel like an exterior. It's also a bit tight inside with a lot of Doordash pickup traffic so it felt a little crammed at times. Overall, solid food with a couple rough edges. Definitely a nice spot when you're in the area and want some decent Pho in a pinch.

This little hole-in-the-wall, Pho MDR Noodle Culture, is a hidden gem right in my neighborhood! I must have passed this place a million times without ever stopping in. Yesterday, I met a Pho-loving friend for lunch and I'm glad I did. The Vietnamese & Thai fusion restaurant offers a myriad of choices and all of them were delicious. We started with the house-made veggie rolls, fried and stuffed with a blend of veggies and spices and a side of nuoc cham. (Fish sauce). We followed this with the Fried Chicken and Veggie Dumplings with a side of soy sauce vinaigrette. We also tried the Satay-grilled chicken skewers marinated in turmeric seasoning peanut dipping sauce, and pickled veggies. What we really came for though was the Pho Rare Beef Loin NY-rice noodle soup topped with sliced rare New York strip loin, green onions, slide onion, and cilantro served in a beef broth with a side of bean sprouts, basil, jalapeno, hoison, sriacha sauce, and lime. This was definitely the star of the show. Service is quick and efficient and we'll definitely be back.

I would much rather visit Jade Rabbit in Santa Monica for cheaper and more delicious Asian fusion food or Din Tai Fung in Santa Monica for a more consistent dumpling and noodle experience. The only reason to come here is for the date-night vibe. Honestly, the food tasted more like Northern Chinese fusion cuisine than Taiwanese fusion cuisine.

I love this place. Admittedly, this is not the absolute best Thai fusion place I've had, but they…read moreare incredibly consistent, never too crowded, and quick and friendly service. This place feels like home because of how small it is. There are still several tables, indoor and outdoor, but usually only one hostess/server/busser that you see there. She's great:) Food is fresh, light and flavorful. My favorite is the bbq pork fried rice. Also, I like to the potstickers, served on the most interesting lightly sweet peanut sauce. Delightful. Decent Thai tea too! While sitting to enjoy my rare lunch away from work, I noticed a lot of takeout customers flowing through. At the risk of exposing one of the least crowded, good Thai food places I know...if you haven't tried it...Go, now!

They also added a lot of spice for a medium dish so beware. I had the Venice Noodles, Pad See Ew, Crispy Pork, Khao Soi, and Cream Cheese Wontons. The cream cheese wontons had some other stuff in there. It wasn't just cream cheese, maybe vegetable cream cheese. My favorite thing was the crispy pork and the Khao Soi. The Khao Soi had great flavor and the pork had a great texture. The Pad See Ew beef wasn't very good.
