I keep returning for the food, but honestly, the service and atmosphere are equally top-notch. The best kept "secret" is they have Monday evenings reserved for dogs on the back patio. There's usually a special on wine, and they have doggie treats! You have to experience it to believe it. We tried the Yuzu Custard, Peach & Basil Shortcake, and Rum Butter Cake for dessert, and all were solid!! IMO if you aren't able to speak to guests with kindness & understanding, even if you're unable to accommodate a request, you should maybe rethink your role in hospitality.   We settled on moving outside, which was totally fine, and finished our meal there. We then come to realize the staff knew the loud table next to us. It definitely left us feeling that their personal friendships were prioritized over kindness and respect toward other guests. Parties over a certain size are required to get the family-style menu, which worked out well for us. Drink prices were pretty expensive, but I liked that they offered half-glasses of wine. The first course consisted of the RT Bistro Salad (kind of forgettable), Cucumber "Caesar" (very nice and unique), and Sweet Potato Tempura (loved this one). Next up, we got the Kanpachi Crudo, which was one of my favorite items of the night - such a nice flavor combination with the strawberries! The Salmon Collar was a little less my speed, but still tasty. However, the entrees really stole the show! The One Layer Lasagna was phenomenal with its cheesy corn kernels. The Duck Confit was out of this world, especially combined with the Honey Koshihikari Rice. One of the best duck preparations I've had in a while! We also loved the Burger add-on and the Summer Squash. For dessert, we truly couldn't pick a favorite between the Chocolate Cake and Ice Box Pie. Both were insane!
