Hi, I'm a loyal customer who dines at Facci twice a month. Tonight's visit with 7 people was very disappointing. No AC, extreme heat, no fix attempted, and a waiter who forgot basic service like water refills and didn't have a pen for the check. With tips taken ahead of time, this was unacceptable. Other restaurants managed the heat this week -- you should too.

While the place looks nice the food lacks flavor. The staff are nice and friendly. The food just wasn't that great. Sorry to say it.

Super cute restaurant. Went here for my anniversary. The ambience has romantic dim lighting and is ment for a date night. The weight staff seemed a little understaffed for how busy it was, but were still friendly and came to check up on us every so often. As this place is known for pizza, we got the Franco Palma and the margarita pizza. The crust was phenomenal! Crunchy, crisped to perfection, and seasoned, however the sauce was a little too heavy, which made the tips a tad soggy and floppy. I got the polipo as an appetizer and the octopus was tender, and the potatoes underneath it were salted perfectly. Each of the sauces had a unique flavor. Overall, the price was worth it, and we would definitely come here again!

My family and I were looking for a new Italian restaurant today. Somewhere near home, so we came to this location for dinner. Loved the decor and ambience ... from the fireplace, to the pizza oven in the middle of the restaurant, to the bar area with the televisions. Parking was also easy even on a Saturday. My daughter and I split a Romana salad; it's kind of like a Caesar salad. Good but had to ask for more dressing. I ordered the spaghetti Amatriciana, daughter got the chicken Limone, husband got Ravioli D'Aragosta. My spaghetti wasn't spicy at all (as was assumed since it had spicy Calabrian chilis), the burrata ball was huge and at first I didn't get it because it was cold while the rest of the dish was warm. Well when you mix it in the dish it was very good. I added some salt but after that it all came together. The other two dishes were also enjoyed at the table. Portions were generous, we had leftovers and the service was pretty good too. Would definitely come back!

Had a wonderful birthday dinner for a family member at Facci. You are started off with warm bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For appetizers, we had the crispy calamari and the aioli sauce paired very well and brought on more flavor. Both the aruguletta and red and yellow salads were fresh, simple and allowed the natural ingredients to shine. The ravioli dish was recommended by our server Ella and it was delicious! The Fruiti Di Mare was packed with sea food and the sauce was phenomenal. Dessert did not disappoint and all the desserts were great. Our server Ella was fantastic. We went on a Wednesday night where there was a live performance. The restaurant was big but felt cozy, there was was music playing but still able to have conversations and the restaurant is great for large parties

Facci has definitely changed from it's original iteration after a renovation. Prior it was a light and fun place to have dinner and drinks. Now it's dark and blah. We hadn't visited since the pandemic and decided to try it again. What a disappointment. The service was slow and spotty. After being seated it took sometime for a server to come. After we weren't ready to order a drink it was a long time before anyone came back. We finally were able to order some wine and appetizer and place our order. One they came out we noticed our server tell a table near us they food would be out soon. This group had been there well before our seating. Their food came out right before ours. We both had pasta that was just ok. Mine was bland and could have used some seasoning. We asked and once it came we had pretty much eaten. The food was overpriced and not worth a return for us.

While searching for the best pizza in Laurel I found the worst pizza I've ever had. Nothing authentic or wood grilled about it. Extremely watery. Frozen pizza from your local grocery store is better. If I could give this place a 0 I would. Trash

The food was amazing and quick to get to our table. It wasn't full for a Tuesday night. It's a very cozy, date night type place. My family and I came by because we needed dinner after a long day. We were very surprised to see the options and to see the inside of this restaurant. It is beautiful. The lights are turned low and there is jazz playing. It was just a tad too dark for me but I get the vibe they are going for. The server was so sweet and attentive. We will definitely be back... I wanted to try the wine but decided I will do it next time. They have a full bar with seating. It's a great place to sit and enjoy your dinner and company. And... the bread that was served when we were seated was chef's kiss!!! Sooooooooo good!!!

It's wedding weekend! My brother's 1st child/daughter, my 1st niece, the 1st grandchild ... such an exciting time! I thought the venue for the rehearsal was amazing (see my review for Pinstripes, 11920 Grand Park Ave, North Bethesda, MD) but the rehearsal dinner (Fri., 10/10) actually topped that! Facci's Ristorante (in Laurel) is a definite "blink and you'll miss it" establishment but clearly a hidden neighborhood gem/local fav! Store-front restaurants rarely impress me but Facci's (in Laurel) absolutely did! As soon as you walk in (and, BTW, someone was there to hold the door for us) the decor, lighting, smells, service ... warm, cozy, classy, intimate - genuine perfection. No cheesy Tuscan-themed artifacts either! It's billed as a wine bar which is immediately evident ... the entire back wall is a gorgeous display (cooler?) of wines on top of wines. Again, not a flashy establishment but every dish came out plated flawlessly. #UpscaleItalianCuisine As mentioned, this was a rehearsal dinner so all appetizers were pre-selected and then we had a choice of four different entrées (pic of menu attached for deets ... angel hair Sophia Loren, pappardelle bolognese, shrimp fradiavola and chicken fettuccine alfredo). We had about 40 people present (4 tables) and every table was served heaping platters of Romana salad (think Caesar), Shrimp Gondola (parmigiana/reggiano cream sauce with toasted Italian bread), Polpette Casserole (savory beef meatballs), a whole Margherita pizza and warm ciabatta bread with that savory dipping oil we all love and appreciate in any Italian restaurant! I have one MINOR complaint ... I prefer my noodles a bit more al dente than what I received (my Mom and son's noodles were also a bit over cooked) but NOT a deal breaker ... the kitchen worked magic handling our party of near 40 and the stuffed-to-capacity other diners! However, I was sooo flipping full from all the appetizers, who needed an entrée anyway?!?! LOL I'm not a wine drinker anymore butttt those who were totally enjoyed the numerous bottles of red and white that flowed all evening. My hubby didn't join me this evening but I am definitely returning for a date nite with him in the near future. Hope YOU try it too. When you do, tell them you saw it on Yelp!

I've been here many times over the last 15 years, and although the service has been a problem, the food used to be good enough to go back. Lately, the food has gone downhill, and the service is terrible. The food has become very inconsistent, with the same dish being served differently from the menu (for example, randomly adding goat cheese on top their margherita pizza, or leaving out the hazelnuts and walnuts from their roasted beet salad). The bread and pizza crust are a different texture depending on the day, with the bread sometimes being hard throughout instead of soft in the middle and the pizza is often over-cooked to a dry crisp now (even in the center) with too much thick cheese instead of the Italian/Neopolitan style that they used to do well. The atmosphere has also taken a downward turn, and the last year, we witnessed children literally running around the dining area on top of the seating booths (shoes right on the seats). The servers are either slow and absent-minded or overly pushy and up-selling everything. Recently, we had a reservation for three people at 7:30 pm, and by 8 pm there was still no table available. The manager's excuse was that people had paid but wouldn't leave. I would think if people are finished with their meal, and have paid, and people with reservations are waiting -- it's possible to ask the previous table to leave. For many reasons, this place is not worth going back to ever again, especially with their high prices.

This restaurant is a hidden gem and I'm so glad that I found this treasure. True, authentic Italian cuisine. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. To start off, they bring you fresh, hot bread with olive oil, balsamic and fresh garlic. I went during Happy Hour and my drinks were half off. They had some great items on their special menu. The calamari was fried to perfection and the cream of crab soup... Amazing. Creamy, thick, but not too thick and lump crab meat. I love that they offer you fresh parmesan cheese and grounded black pepper to top off their already delicious entrees. My main waiter was Ray and his service was top tier. I loved how all the waiters would check in on you regardless if it was their table or not. Mike also provided warmth and attention. Even the Manager stopped by to check up on us and to ensure all of our requests were met. Superb service. The pastas were amazing. Juicy lump crab meat, decadent scallops and cooked to perfection shrimp. Large portions that you had to request a to go box. My espresso martini was made with fresh espresso. Limoncello with the right amount of texture and strength. Of course I had to get a cappuccino and paired it with the mini trio cannolis. They served as the perfect biscotti substitute. Lol! Great music selections. The artwork and decor made the best ambiance. Dimmed lightning with candlelight dinning. Magnificent! I will definitely be back to try more off of the impressive menu. Enjoy!

I absolutely love the vibe at Facci! It's great for a solo HH, group dinner, or date. They have a nice outdoor patio area and beautiful bar space. We stopped in for HH on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't super crowded which was great. We sat at the bar since that's the only place you can get the HH specials. I grabbed a couple of glasses of wine and then went with a pizza and a pasta dish. We ordered the Diavola. It was just okay. Could have been cooked a bit longer to give it a bit more crisp. I also realize that having all those toppings makes it hard to stay crispy. I may just try a cheese pie next time. The pasta was a hit! Absolutely loved the parpadelle bolognese. Would order this one again. Really cool spot with various events throughout the week. I'll be back for sure!

I really enjoy coming here during the warmer months because their outside dining area is really nice. I typically order their gluten free pasta, and it's the best I've had at any restaurant. They are great about handling food allergies. The bar here is great. The staff are attentive and friendly. Highly recommend their Bada Bing martini! It's a heavenly chocolate espresso martini. Best for dessert!

Was a bit skeptical, but for someone who hasn't drank wine in a while, I would definitely come back here just to drink wine! Half off a bottle on Mondays and the appetizers! We had the Charred Octopus and it was amazing! The way it was cooked with the tomatoes and also the flavors were to die for! We ordered two that day. The service was fantastic, the room was clean and cute on the bar side. I was so busy with my octopus and wine that I couldn't bring myself to check out the dining room! We did order the corn crab fritters off the happy hour menu - they were good, but they were not the WOW like the Charred Octopus. Even my boyfriend was impressed and he does not drink wine, but he was definitely all about the Charred Octopus. Now I'm worried since I'm telling you about it, they may run out of Charred Octopus the next time I go visit! I'm hoping to make this a normal Monday thing to have wine and charcuterie, since this place is so cute and awesome! Also, on the plus, I had to mention, the server heard we were celebrating my friends birthday and brought up champagne which was awesome and impressive. Now that is thoughtful service! Smashing Grapes - see you very soon!

We came here for Father's Day lunch. This was my first time coming to this restaurant, and I…read morethought this would be a nice place, judging by all the great reviews. BUT no. Save your money. Warning the review is long. TLDR: service is so bad and so expensive for shitty quality food. Though their coffee and sangria were delicious. We were seated promptly and while waiting for the rest of my family arrived the waiter brought us water. He claimed the appetizers were good for sharing so I was expecting the portions to be good. Our party was 8 adults and 2 kids. We got 4 appetizers and it's good we got 4 of them because had we gotten 1 or 2, literally everyone would get like 1/2-1/4 piece of appetizer. So not sure why he said the appetizer was good sharing size. Also I want to note these appetizers are not cheap. They were very expensive for the amount you get. You would think if you paid $20-$22 per app you would get more. Literally paying for an entree with significantly less food. Onto the food: The waiter claimed that the Lemongrass chicken was "juicy". We got two of these and it was SO SO DRY. The Mediterranean salad I got was so salty. And the mussels that I also ordered were disappointing. I want to say 60% of the mussels were closed. This indicates that these might have been undercooked, poor quality or simply did not get checked. The mussels were so salty as well. What really pissed me off is that my mom ordered the shrimp tacos. Nothing complicated about that right? Well they never came out. We find out that there was a mixup so they sent it to a different table and we're "working" on a new one. Tell me why almost two hours later they never came out till we asked for the check? Then they magically come out in a to-go container. Literally the sloppiest mess you can imagine. How is that acceptable? You're telling me it took 2 hours to make this pile of shit? And what's even more absurd is their own menu says it comes with fries. Well in that small ass container they did not include fries. I asked about this and they looked confused and said it should come with fries and that they would get it. I have never experience such ABYSMAL, ATROCIOUS service. Sure the waiters and front staff were nice but nice doesn't make up for the terrible service. Something is going on in the kitchen for sure. Why does it take 1 hour for appetizers to come out. And then 45 min after only 3 people's meals come out. In polite company you would wait for everyone's food to come out to begin eating, but idk what they were doing back there that there was such a delay. Once the 4 of us finished our meal well the 5 people's food comes out, they got an entire order wrong. Ordered a kids pepperoni pizza and they brought cheese. We told the waiter that this was wrong and literally 5 min after he brings what I can say is the SAME DAMN CHEESE PIZZA with pepperoni slices right on top and a bit of Parmesan cheese. We could tell it was the same pizza because the pepperoni were sitting right on top like someone just added it on. We complained to the manager and he brought a new pepperoni pizza that was good this time. We had to ask multiple times for condiments and water refills. I could give a little leeway if this restaurant was so busy but it was not busy at all. Our waiter kept peeking over at us and not coming over like he was scared. And if your service is gonna be this bad, at least the food should be good but no. You have terrible service and shitty food that you're paying $$$ for. And gratuity being included is laughable because the service provided was not worth an almost $80 tip. We had to get up and find the waiter to ask for the check and where the hell the shrimp tacos were. In the end they tried to comp only the pizza and the shrimp tacos, but that was unacceptable. They did comp the appetizers. But they tried to give us brunch vouchers but why the hell would we come back to this place that had terrible service?? Make it make sense. And now that I review the 1 star reviews, it is consistent with everything we experienced. Terrible service, missing food, and hunting down the staff. Also the owner responds to bad reviews with AI responses. Shame.

This winery deserves all the awards and promotion that I've seen all socials .... However, when you know a major dmv social group (dmvdoes ) is hosting an event of 40+ people why is only 1 staff member working the whole night.? Our event experience (paid ) came with a glass of wine for all our guests. The wine was just put on a table without any explanation of the wine , grapes, or legacy. I brought several things for a raffle including the mayor bottle of wine , 2 tastings, and a wine flight for myself. There was no education or discussion about wine. Next, I ordered food and drinks before our event started and I didn't get my food until an hour after I arrived. Next , the suya was so tough I almost choked on a piece of it. The rice was decent but not a winner for me. Lastly, parking is limited to street parking or an outdoor parking lot up the street. It's a cute place to have a social event or a laid back wine meetup but definitely need more staff, wine education for visitors, and better food options.

I came here in September for my birthday and been very hesitant to write a review…read more I forgot how I heard about this place but I was excited because it's the first black owned winery in laurel. I think it's the only winery in Laurel so I definitely wanted to come and support. I first went to check it out and see what information I could get to reserve for a large party. It's kind of located in the cut of main st but there's plenty of street parking. Walk in and you'll see there are two settings. It's very welcoming and warm with beautiful decor and many seating on both sides. I explained to the gentleman what I wanted and he said it shouldn't be no problem just reach out to the events manager. It was a bit last minute, I sent an email on 9/22 to come on 9/28 at 5:30pm (had to confirm the number of people). Just to clarify, we spoke on the phone and email for communication of all information. I noticed they had an event that same day but it started earlier in the day and the events manager told me it should end before my guests arrive. I told her I was having 20 people total and I was ordering two charcuterie boards. Everything was confirmed and good to go as I thought. My guests were letting me know they were arriving but were seated in the smaller area. I was hoping by the time I got there it would be handled but no they already started ordering in the smaller area and the staff there said they were told only 10 people were suppose to come but I showed them the emails. The event they had ran longer than it should have which I wish I would have known just to let my guests know. The staff then tried to fix it but literally a whole hour and half later. Once we got in the event room, we had our charcuterie boards and others order their suya and jollof rice. They did not finish their food, it actually looked dry. Before the day, I was told my guests were not able to do flights but the day of they were able to order. I wanted to order some for the party but it's okay, we all figured out which wine we liked best and a couple bought bottles. To end it, the staff brought out a cute cupcake for my friends to wish me happy birthday. They have a speaker for you to connect if you want to play your own music. Other than that, we had fun. Regardless, I'm going to have fun. I recommend to go and have your own experience. I will definitely come back for a last minute date or just to pick up one of the wine bottles I liked.

So this review is going to be short and sweet, but with one VERY important note. Those of you who…read moreread my reviews know I typically review either really good or really "not so good" restaurants. I'm breaking my own rules, because I feel the 3.9 rating is pretty accurate, with one 5 star + exception. This was a business lunch and a convenient location so there we were. The duck fries as an appetizer were good but needed to be seasoned with a little more salt. I had a strawberry salad with some grilled chicken that was good with the greens, but dry as the desert with the chicken and borderline inedible. Here's the twist!!! My two compadres both had the grilled cheese and lobster sandwich. They both looked at me sheepishly and said, you f ed up!!! William was kind enough to break off a substantial bite and let me try it. Angels sang, children wept, and I almost passed out! It was the kind of perfection we all agreed we would have eaten 5, maybe 6 of these unnaturally awesome sandwiches until we passed out! 3.5 Star service, 4 Star ambience, and some 10 Star bites! Cheers, JimG

The staff are nice, but service and the kitchen seemed a bit slow on a Sunday early afternoon towards the very end of brunch despite the area we were seated only had a few tables filled. The Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was nothing special - feeling like a flat, single-note dish.. Perhaps it was that the hollandaise sauce lacked the acidity (usually from lemon juice) to brighten the dish. Or, that the nod to Maryland - the Old Bay honey - drizzled around the edges of the dish wasn't enough to elevate it to something that is savored with each bite. The Fluffernutter Blondie is a good dessert choice if you love blondies and peanut butter. Although, it was a bit drier than I'd like, the texture was still soft.

He rushed us to order, made us uncomfortable when we were deciding what to order, and asked us if we wanted the house made bread. I knew the bread was $5 but he made no mention of it. If I was coming to eat there and was asked if I wanted bread and didn't know there was a charge, I would be upset. It was kind of deceiving, and when the bill came out, shoved the handheld device to pay in my face and I couldn't go over the bill. He told me to put my phone here when paying and that was that. The bill was incorrect and I had to get a manager to fix it (the manger was very friendly and took care of everything). I also have an issue when a server asks us how the food is, right when the food gets put down on the table. We hadn't even had a chance to take a bite. Now, why I gave this place a five star. Like I said before, the ambiance was amazing, if we had a different server, I'm sure it would had been great! The food: it' was top notch. Some of the best food in Maryland. I wouldn't had changed anything with the food. Everything was seasoned perfectly, had the right textures, and tasted so good! Would I go back? Absolutely!

The house is also subdivided into smaller rooms, so there is no more than about 6 tables per section. It made it intimate and well curated. We went with friends and came prepared to eat. We ordered plenty of appetizers, our meals, and 2 desserts. My favorites were the burrata and arancini. My salad was basic, but trying a bite of my husband's steak was fantastic. Pretty much everything was a baseline of good enough to order again, but now that I've gone once the things I need again are pretty much all the appetizers and a steak. As for the desserts, they were just ok. I don't think I've ever had a dry olive oil cake, but this one was. The gelato on top made up for it because it was like an added sauce. Finally, our server was ok. He was great with our orders and refilling our drinks. However, he was a little sneaky with asking us the type of water we wanted and if we wanted the focaccia for the table that you had to pay for. He also just rushed my husband through the bill so he could not see if it was accurate and he had added an appetizer that we never got. He was still nice and good waiter. Just minor things in an overall great experience.

She did an amazing job explaining the wines and answering any questions we had. My neighbor, during COVID started this wine club and would host virtual tastings. Flash forward to the present every month we pick a spot and meet up there. I love attending the meet ups! Treena is so knowledgeable about wines and is always a pleasure. We were able to preorder which I appreciated to ensure the restaurant had what you wanted. We ordered different flatbreads, charcuterie boards, trail mix, nuts and of course flights and bottles. I really enjoyed the Sparkling Vidal Blanc and the Rosè. Everyone enjoyed their selections. Interior was clean, spacious for such a small place consisted of 3 tables to seat a party of 9...and plenty of seating around the bar and in the front of the restaurant. The playlist was definitely a vibe. Perfect for wine clubs, girls night out or date nights...or if you're just hanging solo and want to enjoy some delicious wine. Glad I got t to check this off my list! Happy Yelping!
