She was very quick to provide solutions to my problem, which I was very impressed with. Here's my problem...she did not offer me a chance to express or explore causes for, nor long term remedies for my problems. In fact, she left the room and said that the nurse or whatever her title was, will go over how to apply the remedies she prescribed to me. While she was pleasant, she did not appear to be genuinely interested in me as patient. Absolutely no Customer Intimacy.

Even though it was busy, they made sure we had a comfortable space. Kevin was super accommodating from the moment I booked. He helped coordinate everything so the group could stay together, and I appreciated the attention to detail (also shoutout to Mandy, Diane and V!...our techs for the day). My elder niece and I went with spa pedicures, and I also had dip removal and a nail shape-up on my natural nails. My pedicure was terrific--the leg massage almost put me to sleep in the chair--I was so relaxed and it was just what I needed. My niece also got a manicure and said her experience was good, not mind-blowing, but still enjoyable. The little ones got their nails polished and were happy as can be. The Ulux staff even let them hang out in a massage chair together like "big girls" while they waited for our services to wrap up--adorable. Ulux offers complimentary drinks too: wine, soda, and water. My elder niece and I sipped wine, the girls got a bag of chips from the staff, and it all made for a festive girls' day out. Also, I received a discount as a first time visitor, which was a nice touch. Kevin mentioned they also have a second location in Oak Lawn, which I plan to check out next time. Parking in this area can be a little difficult, so I chose to Uber--definitely a smart move on a busy holiday week. With the price you pay and all other spas I have been to you get to stay All day. The service was also very slow at the pool so we couldn't even order a snack because it took too long. Also, the restrooms don't have body wash, which was surprising. Lastly, the pool is NOT heated and was cold when we went. I do think it should be heated as it would be more enjoyable. I did love that we got 2 complimentary drinks. Either champagne, rose, or a mimosa. I got the mimosa which was good. The locker room itself is small. I enjoyed the snacks they provided. We got a couples massage and it was probably one of the best massages we've both had. The women's locker room was nice and the amenities were clean and worth it.

And she and I travel together a lot and have had fantastic spa services in Dubai, the Philippines, so why not here in my own backyard? I selected the Deep Ellum Body Treatment: Our signature body wrap is the one that gets the job done! Be ready for a night on the town by exfoliating the body with a revitalizing scrub. Then you will be cocooned in a restorative shea butter wrap to increase circulation, reduce water retention, and boost the skin's overall appearance. When my buddy & I entered the spa, we were warmly greeted and shown to the lounge area, where we were treated to cucumber slices for our under-eyes & snack bit and tea. After a few minutes of relaxing, we were ushered into separate rooms and I was introduced to my Masseuse, who explained what she would be doing and asked if I had any questions. It was a wonderful scrub, massage & wrap. After I was done, she walked me out and showed me the showers and told me to relax while I wait for my friend to finish. Yes, it is pricey compared to my neighborhood spa, but you are paying for the lovely view in the wonderfully comfortable lounge, the private showers and blow dryers, the small bottle of bubbly served with a champagne flute, the attentive staff and the luxurious products used. Most importantly the training and technique made my experience in November 2023 a very memorable one and I know I will return for another day of pampering!
