Don't ever get your hair cut by the light skin dude with dreads. I asked for a small taper on my sides and a line up, that's it. He gave me a high taper almost a fade and did a high taper on the back of my head which I did not ask for. I've been growing my hair out for a few months and he just set me back some months. Then he cut my mustache and goatee (unevenly) without even asking me. Then he sprayed that fake black line up stuff on me. I'd pretty much say never go here but the girl and bald guy at the back cut hair good. Just avoid dude with the dreads. read more

Honestly I ain't tryna hate or nun but I went there for the first time cuz it was the only shop open around my area.. and I was going on a party with sum girls and guys but once I got there I asked Chris the salon guy lol to give me a mid fade and he said he'll charge $20 so I was like kool just get me right right after Chris was cutting my hair he literally went up high gave me a high fade with a zero I told him to give me a mid faded bit homie look high asf that he forgot them when I see he messed me up I told him you know what just pass me the 5 on top to make it equal he passed me the 3 going almost all bald I got mad that I honestly wanted to start somesh*t but calm myself down then he gives me a line up on the front and literally was line-ding me up to much that he actually kinda cut me up on both sides then out of nowhere he brings the chair back and rapidly cuts my f*king beard of and I told what he'll man why you cut it he was like oh srry I thought you wanted me to trim ur beard I told him no bro just my hair but anyways I was mad that I wasn't gon pay he's ass long short story he finished cutting me then tells me it's gon be $40 I was like? What why 40? Chris said cuz of details and trim ur beard I told I didn't tell you to cut my beard you did it ur self plus you messed up my hair it wasn't the one I asked for I ended up giving him 20 he look mad but wtf am I am gon give someone that messed my hair up and cuts my beard off without even asking ? Maaaaaaan.... I have been coming in here for at least 10 years. If you know then you know. I have my haircut but just about everyone over the years, but mainly I see Reggie, he knows my cut and gets me in and out the chair with the quickness. Everybody is always laughing, talking, watching the game, etc and on Sundays/Saturdays they have donuts in the morning. Recently I came in to see that they had partnered up with a group offering blood pressure, diabetes screenings, and some other services right in the shop. I don't normally leave yelp reviews, but I just had to this time. I have an easy haircut. 2 fade on the sides, trim on top. Went home and noticed that the fade was higher on one side than the other, so I came back the next day to see if they could take the fade higher on the short side. The dude was chill about it, but proceeds to give me a 0 fade! Nowhere did I mention a zero fade. Ended up making my hair worse. He didn't charge me for it, clearly it was not what I asked for. The guy was probably going off of muscle memory because I get the sense that these guys only know how to shave heads. These guys can't handle hair. Don't come here unless you want to shave your head for $20. read more

One star...if I could give negative stars then I would without hesitation. Cut was finished under 15 minutes. Didn't trim even when I asked. The guy was talking on the phone AS he did my hair, seems like he don't give a fuck. When I asked to shorten the top, he used a damn fucking razorblade instead of scissors, and when asked to use it, he replied with I don't know how to use them. Seems these barbers are unexperienced. To top it all off, the price is regularly 20 but when asked again after, he replied 25 as if he didn't think I would tip. Whoever is looking for a barber, don't waste your time here read more

My 9 yr old loves his haircut. I appreciate the barber who gave my son a nice fade with a design. On a Sunday night we ran out of options til I gave fade away a call and they replied back with " how soon can you get here?" No problem!! I've got to be honest. I don't even begin to see how this shop walks off with a five star rating. When I was there, I saw a very busy shop with at least ten chairs. Every customer was African American accept for one older Latino wearing 1/16 of inch up from a skin head cut and he was only getting a lineup. The rest of the work I saw being done ranged from pretty good to not so good. My personal experience was paying $20.00 for haircut that wasn't worth the $5.00 or whatever they charge at barber college. Personally, I don't think $20.00 is at all out of line for a competent haircut. But not for one that's unfinished, full of amateur errors and looks like it was done by a kid on his first at barber college. A professional should have admitted that his skills just weren't up to the kind of haircut I was asking for which was just a number four guide on top down 00 on the sides and back fully blended and faded around the base. So if you're African American, you might just get that five star haircut or something like it. If you're Latino or Caucasian, move on. Try someone else in Gardena like Eddie's or Leo's or Twist. read more
