The quality of their imaging has fallen off during the past years, a few of my doctors reviewed my results and said they weren't clear. They tell you that you can set up online appointments, but then they never respond so you have to call, when you call your put on hold automatically without being told that there's a hold time. Some of the front desk staff have an edge and are downright rude for no reason whatsoever. over the years it's been hit or miss with even getting copies of my x-rays, mammograms, etc. and I'm downright tired of the ineptness . I've been going there for years and when one of the doctors left things seem to just go downhill, not sure what the issues are, but I'm done they're out I've moved on. Would give this place zero stars if I could. The most disorganized office I have experienced who seem to prioritize wasting patients' time. Scheduled my new born for a sonogram with them, they gave us time and date. When we showed up, had to fill out extensive paper work in the office (most places email you the paper work so that you can have it filled out and on file before you visit, especially if for a baby). When the time came for the sonogram, after another 30 min of waiting (so over an hour of sleep disruption for the baby), we were informed that the doctor who does the sonograms was not in today. Do you not check the doctor's schedule before making an appointment for the patient? So incompetent! Would strongly recommend against this office if you are scheduling your child. read more

I have shortness of breath and my doctor wants an Xray these people told me due to the pandemic they will not take me because I have shortness of breath. What kind of craziness is this? No questions about fever or any other symptoms of COVID simply, if you have shortness of breath in the past two weeks we won't take you. I have gone here many times over the years I will never go back again. FYI I have had a COVID test and have tested negative for both the virus and the antibodies. I've also had the vaccine. AP. I brought my wife and two daughters for various exams ( mammograms, breast ultrasounds, dexa scan, pelvic ultrasounds and x-rays. Scheduling was easy. Everyone was great beginning with the front desk and extending to the technicians. They were all extremely courteous, polite, friendly and very understanding concerning any special needs we had. We had the reports quickly without delay. We have been using this facility for years and I am happy to say the quality of care has remained excellent. I highly recommend Fair Lawn Imaging. read more

I made an appointment here three weeks ago and when I got there I was told I wasn't in their book. After I had spent a half hour speaking g with someone there to set up this ultrasound they tried to tell me I can't have this test without another different one. I walked out. I came here in 2017 for a scan, and I remember my experience being quite pleasant. Two years later, I'm back, and my experience wasn't so great. I had to change my appointment twice (my fault), but in the midst of this, they just didn't schedule me. On the morning of my scan, I called to confirm and ask a question, and they didn't have me in their schedule. I was obviously upset considering I was fasting/not drinking water while at work, so I was VERY annoyed. Catherine (Katherine?) was absolutely amazing, calmed me down and squished me in for that same day. I was expecting a long wait for my scan when I arrived, but I was in by 20 minutes and out in about 15. My tech was professional, cordial and focused on her work, which I appreciated. I was very nervous about the results, so I called back within 24 hours (the wait time is 48), and I was told I could come pick my results up. I drove through rush hour to get there to be told by an elderly woman with short hair that my results couldn't be released to me for "legal reasons." Well, why tell me I could come pick them up then and waste my time? I was very emotional and upset, and I was referred to the "manager" Jackie. She's a piece of work. Honestly, avoid her at all costs if you think you're ill because she is the most uncompassionate employee working at a diagnostic center of all the places. She was holding my results in her hand and refusing to release them, once again, due to "legal reasons." She attempted to reach my doctor via the answering service, but I ended up calling the answering service and the actual doctor myself. I later found out via my doctor that results can't be released before 48 hours because it's a *law in NJ*. Um Jackie, how about stating the law instead of being vague? Worst experience/person ever. I ended up going back for the hardcopy of the results 2 days later and was greeted by C/Katherine again, who was nonetheless pleasant again. Does this experience deter me from scheduling at this facility again? Possibly due to scheduling issues and Jackie, but it is convenient for me, the facility is clean, parking is ample, and the prices are great. I'd recommend it with reservations. Just make sure to get names of people you speak to and confirm everything! read more

This facility was chosen by my gynecologists for me for my last 2 mammograms. I went twice and can not deal with the long wait. I wait there for a few hours long after my appointment. The facility appears to be short staffed with a very long waiting room. I am trying to find an imaging facility closer to my residence. I have made several attempts in the past few months to contact this place to get my last mammogram report and films. I get no reply. The phone is busy. I have used the chat and messaging option with my contact information. I sent a fax. Still no reply. Last visit I asked the lady upfront about getting my mammogram scans/films. She said if I wait she could get them but she made no effort to do so. I was exhausted from being there long past my appointment and almost missed my ride home. @ least the receptionist offered to call my ride and have them come back a bit later. I said I will come back for the mammogram scans. I do not recommend this imaging facility. read more

Waiting room was full. Patients didn't wear masks and were coughing. When several people complained to receptionists regarding it - nothing was done. They didn't allow to sit in your car until one done with registration. I waited 30 min until registration was done. read more

The MRI tech was great. Very professional and humorous. I was having a brain exam and was a bit frightened. He put me at ease and made me laugh. Test was done before I knew it. First tech to find a vein on the first try... My low rating is for the sites appearance which is really filthy. Garbage cans in waiting room and bathroom were overflowing. There were no paper towels in the restrooms. I was given a wrinkled gown and the changing room was tiny. In short, great tech terrible site. read more

I entered the waiting room and a woman gave me paperwork to fill out. I was stunned to see that two of her co-workers were not masked. In June of 2020, with all we know about the dangers of Covid-19 transmission, I would certainly expect a medical facility to follow CDC safety guidelines. Then another patient came in; his mask was not covering his nose. When he went to the receptionist, I was hoping she would tell him his mask needs to cover his nose, but she didn't say anything. He took a seat. He coughed. He coughed again. He coughed a third time. I told him: "You're coughing; you need to pull your mask up so it covers your nose." He said: "Oh! You're one of those? You think masks do any good. Mind your own business. I hope you get the virus." I will not go back to a health facility that would put me at risk like that. The workers should be masked and they should not allow patients who are not properly masked in the waiting room. It's unsafe. read more

I was re-assured by the doctor and adm staff of the facility that the ultra-sound procedure was considered preventative care and covered by my insurance and now I am told otherwise. Do not go there for mammograms! I originally had an appointment 2 weeks ago. Waited an hour to see if their one mammogram machine could be fixed! I asked to reschedule instead of sitting there all day just to see if it was going to work. Came back in today for a 12 pm appointment. 12:35 and I was still sitting at the waiting room. This place is very unprofessional, I have done my mammogram and ultrasound from here twice just because my primary doctor suggested me to go this place, never again. Very Very disappointed experience both the time they made me wait in the ultrasound room alone for more then an hour and still I did not get proper answer why was that wait for!! when at the end they told me to leave it's done.... Not only that my insurance has changed and I gave them my copy of new insurance they took copy in front of me and they misplaced it twice and I got big bill from my old insurance twice, I went again to them same thing..not only that I personally went three times to talk to them and they again took the copy of it to do the process again but unfortunately same thing they did it they have none copy of my new insurance that what I was told .... I got second bill with huge amount.. they are messing up my credit which I really developed with my hard work.. they don't care of patients they only care how they can make money out of us... please be careful before you visit this place... Had an 11:30 appointment for a simple chest x ray , got there 15 minutes early. 12:30 rolled around . Went up to ask the receptionist what the problem was. She went in back to check then went back to her desk. 15 minutes later I went back up since she obviously had no intention of notifying me of the delay. They charge upfront an estimated co-payment which is always higher than the real one guaranteed by your insurance and never return the difference back even after they admit the fact. This place is scamming patients - do not use them! They charge you ahead of time and make you give them your credit card on the spot or they won't do the procedure. They then charged me twice more than I actually owed based on my insurance and it has already taken me almost 3 months of continuous calls to get MY money back from them. I still don't have the long-promised check, they keep giving me some ridiculous explanations about some "confusion" they had with my refund, their billing people are extremely rude on the phone telling you that unless your refund takes over 120 days(!) you really have no reason to complain and that you have no way to speak to the supervisory personnel there. The whole operation looks designed to scam patients and I intend to report them to the appropriate authorities. Please do not repeat my mistake and steer clear of this place. read more

I've been with fair lawn imaging for 10 years I am there for multiple tests due to my disease lupus and the medications to control the lupus such as steroids immunosuppressants that cause problems so I need regular testing I have to say I can go closer to home but the people that I'm about to name have been nothing but nice and loyal to me because of the lupus and being so sick I have missed appointments they know how sick I am they never fine me they've been nothing but kind to me and got me right in and therefore I'm always going to remain loyal to them the manager Sharonda is one of a kind she is always caring about me I don't make appointments to miss them I need them but sometimes when you're really sick it's hard to drive I know that the Employees can make or break a business It's the people that make the experience worthwhile some people do not belong in the medical field so I'm going to name the people that have made this worthwhile for me and why I am a loyal patient and why I'm going to continue there because in today's day and age when you find a really good medical place it should be well known up in the front is Anissa Catherine and Carin they always help me they get me in they know I'm really sick sometimes it's hard to sit and wait the wait is never terrible and again they have been nothing but compassionate to me these three Jack who does the x-ray again wonderful I can't say enough great things Kris who does the MRI another great person like I said because of the lupus and the steroids and all the medicines on there from multiple tests I've been to other radiology places which are not so kind and compassionate and understanding and again when you have a serious medical conditions and are on very potent medications to stay alive sometimes it's hard to drive and get up and again I never set up an appointment to cancel I always try to keep my appointments but because of the fact I nearly died from the lupus and missed multiple appointments they were nothing but kind to me and accommodating I have to say they are one of a kind and again Sharonda who is the manager really will go out of her way to help you so for other people that are chronically ill and have to drive and can't make an appointment on occasion these are the people that will help you and will go out of their way every time I go there I leave with a smile on my face I cannot say that about other places some people are all about the money I know they need to make money that's what they're there for but there's also compassion when you're truly truly sick so I decided to join yelp because I want to let people know with all medical problems if there's a really good doctor for other people that suffer as I do that they know where to go because there are some places I wouldn't send my worst enemy too but Fairlawn imaging is one of a kind any of the people that I just named would help and would do anything yes it gets busy just like any good medical place I would worry if no patients where ever there whenever it does get busy the wait is never terrible so I just want To let other people who are going through a similar situation my experience again I just want people to know this place is really one of a kind and again Anissa especially upfront and Catherine& Carin will go out of their way to accommodate you it's really worth it I don't know all the other MRI and x-ray people as I request the people that I know well so I can speak for these particular people I'm sure the other people are wonderful you will leave feeling much better than when you came in they are truly caring people I'm going on my 11th year so that says a lot Jack in x-ray is one of the nicest people I know Kris in MRI too so I've now joined yelp to let other people who have medical problems know really good places to go so they can avoid some of the very unpleasant and demeaning experiences I've had in the past Fairlawn imaging gets 5 Stars read more

This place is a bad joke. I was referred by my neurologist, pre-approved by my insurance company and had the paperwork to prove it. Diagnostic Imaging called my insurance company, called me back and confirmed I was all set. I was just required to pay my $90 co-payment. I arrive for my appointment, checked in and waited 40 minutes. I was asked for my paperwork, which I provided. Now I'm told I didn't have a script and they can't see me. Also, I heard of other bad experiences that friends had at this place. Avoid this place! read more

This place is absolutely the worst, most unprofessional medical facility I've ever been to. The ladies up front are rude, talk to patients like they're stupid, and mocked one woman who had trouble speaking English. One of the women who sits up front (heavy set woman), was speaking very loudly about reasons why patients were being seen and what for. I'm sorry, but as a nurse, I find this to be unacceptable. The poor woman, who was there for a diagnostic mammogram (which means there's reason to believe something could be wrong), looked horrified as this woman was talking so loudly about it I wouldn't be surprised if it was heard outside. The X-ray tech, though, was very nice and professional. I don't typically write reviews but I was not only ignored when asking a simple question, but then spoken to like a small child being scolded for stealing a cookie. They violated several patients privacy rights and that in and of itself is reason enough to write this. read more
