I'm not going to lie...staying here scared us. Pulling in right before me into the driveway of the Fairfield was a tour bus full of senior citizens. As they were unloading, we snuck around them to the front desk. The front desk told us that this was the first of 2 buses that would be staying at the hotel. The front desk clerk checked my wife in while I was unloading the car, and told my wife that she had upgraded us to a nicer room. Our room was a king bedroom suite according to my wife. It was supposedly a little larger than the other rooms. The room had a nice sofa and a work area. A small refrigerator was available for us to use. The bathroom was adequate. The toiletries were the usual bonvoy special. The room was good enough to give a couple of good nights of sleep. Breakfast was served in the morning downstairs. Because of the multitudes of elderly there on a bus tour, they also opened up a conference room for additional seating during the breakfast hours. The breakfast was decent for a Fairfield with scrambled eggs, sausages, breads and fruit. 2 waffle irons were available for you to make waffles. The hotel gym was located on the first floor. It had ellipticals, treadmills and bikes for your cardio equipment. Dumbbells were available for you to lift. Santizing wipes were available for you to clean the equipment. I got to meet a few of the participants on the tour from both Ohio and from the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. They were really nice people with a great sense of humor. They told me that I could be a stoway on the bus. The hotel was good. It was better than I thought it would be. Meeting the nice people on the tour made my stay even better. Fairfield Inn Cape Cod on October 3 and 4, 2025. The first day of my stay was excellent -- the room was clean, comfortable, and met my expectations. However, the following day I encountered unprofessional and unsanitary conditions that have left me extremely concerned. On Saturday afternoon, I approached the housekeeping staff to request clean towels and politely asked that they not clean my room. The housekeeper I spoke to was dismissive and rude. She asked me to place the used towels on the floor, then handed me a trash bag and instructed me to place the towels inside myself. I found this behavior unprofessional and disrespectful. Worse yet, on Sunday morning, while drying myself after a shower, I was horrified to discover dried blood on one of the supposedly clean towels that the same housekeeper had given me. It was extremely disturbing and unacceptable for a hotel of Marriott's standards. I immediately re-showered and used a clean shirt to dry myself instead. At checkout, I showed the photo of the towel to a front desk employee (a Latina woman), who asked for my phone number on a yellow sticky note and told me the manager would contact me. Haven't been here in a while and decided to get away to the Cape for a few days. The quality of the rooms and service has declined. The room smells moldy and they only do housekeeping every second day of stay, but they didn't clean our room. Front desk manager was able to switch us to a clean room though which I appreciated. I'm giving this hotel 3 stats because they moved us to a clean room that wasn't moldy after we complained. read more

I stayed here after missing the ferry to Nantucket last Thursday on 9/19 was not in the best spirits. The woman working behind the desk at about 9:00 pm at night had such a wonderful and welcoming presence it helped to make me feel better. She was kind and attentive, and gave me a great tip for getting on the next morning ferry. She turned my whole trip around for the better, thank you!! Hotel was clean , nicely furnished with good size rooms. In July, as expected on Cape Cod, the hotel was busy. The breakfast was the usual, but it seemed only one person was assigned to replenish the breakfast items and they couldn't keep up. Guests were waiting for the hot food and even the bread items and fruit were often empty. Also they do not change sheets and towels until the third day of your stay which we were not told at check in. After a day at the beach, we expected a clean room and clean towels and were then informed of this policy. They did provide towels when asked but I have not had this experience in a Marriott hotel before. It's not a time share, but a hotel. The location is central near the mall surrounded by parking lots. First thing I noticed at hotel was the overflowing trash can & cigarette stand with dirty/ smelly rain water. Front desk agent seemed annoyed during check in process, he was not friendly at all, didn't smile, didn't check my ID, or share any relevant information about the property (pool, breakfast, wifi, etc.). Was assigned a room on the 1st floor & immediately noticed the room smelled like mildew. I was only there for one night so did not attempt to switch rooms. After dinner I decided to check out the pool, when I tried to use my keycard to access the area I was denied & noticed a sign that directed guests to go back to the front desk for entry. The same man from check in was there (still lacking customer service). Plenty of towels & chairs in pool area, water was cold & I only stayed in for two minutes until I noticed the mold/ scum surrounding the edge (especially on the chair lift). There was also lots rust stains in the pool by pipes). Back to the room, shower head was broken, water was hot & had ok pressure, good products. Bed was ok. Air was ok. Coffee maker & microwave in room. I missed the free breakfast but was happy hot coffee, tea & hot chocolate were still available before checking out. read more

Horrid experience with reservations and Kelly Hamill, Area Director of Sales for Fairfield Inn & Suites, Cape Cod Hyannis. Due to a flight delay, the 3 night pre-paid reservation was automatically cancelled as a "no show". Attempting to check in, the front desk was unable or unwilling to allow the second two nights stay. The travel agent and several others contacted the hotel but Kelly Hamill still refused to allow the second two nights stay that we had paid for and refused a refund for even the unused portion. We are out the entire 3 night pre-paid stay and had to pay AGAIN for our stay at this hotel. This hotel was paid DOUBLE and had absolutely no conscience. read more

Beds were super comfortable. That's the good. Took a shower in the morning and tub filled up halfway with water. Never drained. Then I noticed these red spots on my legs that were super itchy. Great location. Centrally located near food venues and access to main route. Pretty New. Clean. Good service. Marriott standard.

Return visit. First stayed two years ago. Brought my wife this trip. We were warmly greeted at check in and were appointed to a nice room overlooking the parking lot and Iyannough Road. The room was amazingly quiet although it faced a sometimes busy thoroughfare. Our room was clean and comfortable. Wifi worked great the entire visit. Breakfast? Well, good. Noticed the scrambled eggs were a little gritty, as in powdered. Regardless, the selection was good as I love to load up on protein early in the day. There is tons of shopping with a newly expanded mall next door and the shopping center across the street appears to be on the cusp of a reno. There's a Trader Joes just a half mile away. I really like this hotel and plan on returning my next trip to the Cape. Oh, a shout out for Internet tv. We logged in to our Netflix account each of the three nights we were there. I stayed here for business purposes and got a room with a king bed. Room and bathroom were clean. Mattress and pillows were good. All employees were courteous and helpful. The morning breakfast is enough to get you going for the day. The only thing I would change is the water dispenser. It is basically a container they fill with ice and water and there is a spigot you activate by pushing a lever. A water fill station would be better and more hygienic. Other than that, great place to stay. read more

Absolutely a disappointment! No customer service. Front desk clearly needs new staff. The guy checking in didn't do much more than grunt. Travel regularly with Marriott with maintaining elite status. Checked in day prior on the app to secure a quiet room which upon check in we are placed directly on the roadside of the hotel. Upon requesting something quieter we were told they can't accommodate. Well if it wasn't a holiday weekend with all booked in the area we would have moved. The rate for the room is higher that what we paid in Boston at the Sheraton prior to arriving at this disappointing property. read more

We stayed here this past weekend during COVID and we couldn't be more pleased with our stay. The lobby smelled of calming aromatheraputic essential oils, our room was very clean, and we were provided with an extra sanitizing cloth. Front desk staff were friendly, the pool was open. I like the bathroom floor pattern and hallway carpet selection but for a fairly new hotel I am shocked that neither the window opens nor is there a fan in the bathroom. The room constantly smells musty and the towels, and bathing suits never completely dry. read more

Solid and consistent, everything I expected for this tier of Marriott hotels. The hotel is clean and customer service is on par with what I expect of Marriott quality. I called late in the evening looking for same day availability and they *thank goodness* had openings. This is how to run a Fairfield! Other than the somber, frowning breakfast gal, all points earn A! The breakfast was a small but sufficient choice of items the gal handed you and your own paper bag-apparently there was no limit as to how many items you could have and it range from a variety of yogurts, different juices, muffins and danish and cereals. This was our third recent stay at the named property and FINALLY we leave happy guest. Each member of the desk staff greeted folks warmly welcomed everyone and adhered to the rules. Three days a week there is housekeeping services if you choose if not just let them know and they will promptly give you any towel you need at any time. Yes it's on a main street but the drone of the air conditioning service hours white noise muffled that and keeps the room cool For a good nights sleep. The highlight was seeing the two rolls of toilet paper side by side with the paper rolled into a rose!Even a JW Marriott does not roll toilet paper into a beautiful rose! The indoor pool is open and at different times small groups of family members enjoyed this treat parking was easy and felt safe and the location makes it walkable for shopping and casual dining. There are other hotels nearby but I recommend this one for an enjoyable stay in Hyannis! read more

Typical (ugly) Fairfield color decor with orange walls in bedroom and for sure these were not the comfortable Marriott beds ( or pillows). Nonetheless - it worked for one over night. We survived and thrived during the Blizzard of 2018 at the Cape Cod Fairfield Inn ----- Here's a condensed version of the letter we wrote to the GM after riding out two of the March 2018 storms in the beautiful new Fairfield Inn, next to the Cape Cod Mall. We are not connected to, or affiliated in any way with the hotel. The recent 'Noreaster' and the follow-up blizzard created dangerous and uncomfortable conditions for everyone on Cape Cod. It wasn't just the roads that were hazardous. Most of the peninsula was without power. Living in unheated homes without functioning cooking facilities is more than just unpleasant - especially for older people. We are an elderly couple and losing electricity means no heat, no cooking, and a gloomy, unhealthy atmosphere. For us the Fairfield Inn was a safe port in a horrible storm. During the first March 'Numbing Noreaster" we stayed at the hotel and there was no loss of power, so we lounged in the soft beds lined with fluffy pillows in complete comfort. We dined well in the morning at the fabulous hot and cold breakfast that's available from around six to ten a.m. When the power came back on in Harwich we went home after a fun stay at the hotel. Then, it seems like only a few days later, we heard on WXTK and Ocean 104 radio that a blizzard was coming. We quickly phoned the Fairfield and booked a room for a couple days. For the first storm, we were lucky enough to get the last room! During the recent blizzard, our first night was fabulous. We watched TV, played some cards in the lobby and had a wonderful free breakfast in the morning. And then the power went out! For the next 24 hours there was no power in the hotel and yet we were denied nothing! Somehow with help from Dunkin and Stop n Shop, we were supplied with a never ending stream of coffee from 'Boxes of Joe', donuts, and delicious ham and cheese sandwiches. The staff gave us flashlights and helped us in dozens of different ways. There were about two dozen of us in the lobby during those dark hours and we fully enjoyed what could have been a morose 24 hour period. We wrote to the General Manager and said that "We have sung, and will continue to sing, the praises of the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Hyannis to friends, relations, and anybody who asks us, How did you make out in the Blizzard of 2018?" The hotel is bright and colorful. Breakfast staff and food were great. Our room #107 looked great but the smell of mildew really ruined it all. We were on a trip with the Yankee Trails company, which was amazing. Our group of 48 people which several that I spoke with agreed with me about the odor. Our first night 9/7/18, we awoke to a room infested with ants. Yes they were everywhere! The nightstand, beds, especially the bathroom. What hell we had packing up our things ant free. 6:30 am the front desk apologized and said they would not have a room until the afternoon. No problem because we had tours all day, beginning at 8:30. I had to ask if we could leave our belongings somewhere, they did not offer. ? After 8:00 am the new front desk has arrived so I checked to make sure they knew the situation. Yes, they said, 'no apology ' but we only have 1 roon available on the 2nd fl. Really? So why wasnt I offered this from the previous reception? She then stated she was told we did not want the 2nd fl. Really?! Seems like the midnight shift just didn't want to bother. Anyway after I moved all our belongings to room 208 without any offer of assistance, quickly did an ant inspection I took a deep breath and again mildew filled my nostrils. Not nearly as bad as 107. But what in the funk is going on in this property? Do not stay here until this place is CLEANED UP. read more

My wife and I, for various reasons, had waited a couple of years without a vacation. We should have gone on a cruise. Don't get me wrong, Cape Cod is beautiful and the weather was perfect. We saw everything there is to see on the Cape but the hotel was a huge let down. The staff was wonderful - every one of them. Our King Room was good size and the shower was huge. This was a very nice surprise. The door, however, did not stay closed completely so water was always on the floor outside of the shower. While the shower was quite large, the floor was VERY slippery. I mean, it was an effort to keep from falling every time I took a shower. This is a law suit waiting to happen. I enjoyed the very good breakfast every day I could. The staff was perfect but they had their marching orders: breakfast ends at 10:00 AM. That's ok under normal circumstances but one of two waffle makers was out of order - ALL WEEK! Come on guys this is a business, repair or replace the darn thing, geez. There was a long line waiting to make waffles every morning while the staff was putting items away. Not a good situation. We knew there was no outdoor pool but they do have an indoor salt water pool. The pool was as big as a fart. My pool in my yard is larger. You have a nice motel in a resort area where 90%+ of the guests are tourists and the pool is open from 4 PM to 10 PM. Seriously? Another oops for management. Back to the room: our AC was on and set pretty low but still the room was humid. I take a couple of daily maintenance meds and they were sticking together. That's not good. The mini fridge worked great and was very handy. OK, what's the deal with the beds? We were so looking forward to this bed but what happened? That bed was NOT standard Marriott issue unless they have changed! Basically we felt like we were sleeping on a concrete slab with a two inch mattress. Neither one of us got one good night's sleep. It didn't feel like a motel in a resort area. I felt like I was staying at a discount second class motel for business people. We cut our vacation short. It was nice to have a newer facility but there are many other options all over the Cape so do some research and don't let the name fool you with this place. It really did not have the feel of a Marriott or even of a mid level resort location motel. Again, the Cape is wonderful, for the money just find a better place to stay. read more

We stayed here for the weekend and really enjoyed the hotel and surroundings! The hotel is very clean and updated. The rooms were also very spacious. They have a complimentary breakfast that was delicious. Above all the best thing about this hotel was the service. From check in and throughout our entire stay the staff was friendly, personable and lovely with every interaction. Katie and Jane at the front desk were absolutely exceptional always going out of their way to see how we were doing and constantly checking in on our children. They gave great beach recommendations and were the most accommodating professional people that we have dealt with in a very long time. Brand new, clean, good breakfast. What stood out was how pleasant the staff was. I called to check in early and the gentlemen on the phone was quick to assure me my request was possible. Also, every single employee greeted me in a friendly way. I stayed here as it was the hotel associated with a wedding. I was not very impressed with this hotel and does not live up to Marriott standards. Upon check in there was a couple in front of us checking out. They asked for complimentary water and were handed a bag with waters in it. We have been on the road at this point for almost 4 hours of traffic and asked if we too could have complimentary water and which time we were told no!! When I stated the couple in front me received water, we were told they were something to the effect of rewards members. We paid a small fortune to stay for 3 days, horrible customer service! The pool was no better, they had a lifeguard who did nothing but was glued to his iPhone the ENTIRE time. Kids were screaming and jumping in and there was no supervision. After watching this for 45 min I took my kids and left and at the exit door I found an employee. I explained the situation to him and told him at best the lifeguard should NOT be on his phone but observing the children. He tried to give me an excuse, it was upsetting. The breakfast was ok, and the rooms were clean, that's the best I can say. I would NEVER return! read more

Our group came out to restore power after a Nor'easter. You could not ask for a better staff they went out of their way after the power went out to make the stay the best possible they went got food to feed the guest got temp lights in place and had a generator in place within a day. The place is new so the rooms are great! I travel across the country and this is one of the best staff I have ran across! read more

This is our second time staying here for business. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The lobby is bright and clean. The rooms are clean and smell fresh (this is important to me personally!). The other thing I really appreciate are the little amenities in the room. I was staying in Hyannis for two weeks, with an original reservation at the Courtyard. When I arrived there, I was given the room key to an occupied room. Already unimpressed, I went to the Fairfield and explained my situation. The staff were more than helpful, and bent over backwards to accomadate my long reservation. During my stay, the staff were always friendly, helpful, and treated my needs as a priority. The room service was excellent. I would suggest anyone staying anywhere on the Cape to stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Hyannis.
