NO HOT WATER OR RUNNING WATER!!! We made the mistake of choosing to stay here. When we checked in we were pleasantly surprised at how cute the room was. It was clearly an older motel that had been remodeled but it was done well. It was also a great price for cape cod. At first we had no issues. We enjoyed a day at the beach and planned to come back and take a shower to wash off the sunscreen and sweat and go to bed. Unfortunately we came back around 9:00 pm to discover that there was no hot water. At all. After running the shower for a few minutes to see if it would heat up, the water just stopped altogether. I included pictures. All we could get was a trickle of ice cold water from the tub spout. And yes we were using the knobs correctly. We would have reached out to the front desk but the paper in the room states they are only open until 6:00 PM. So none of us could shower or wash up in any way. Fabulous. We awoke the next morning to hear our neighbors out on their porch, we couldn't make out most of what was said, but heard "no hot water". We were glad it wasn't just us and expected an apology and possibly a discount or full refund on our stay. NOPE. A short while later we got an email saying the hot water would be shut off for repairs for 10 minutes. I'm like.... the water has been off for over 12 hours at this point, don't act like 'it's only going off for 10 minutes, no big deal'. We were checking out at that time anyway, eager to get to our next hotel so we could shower and brush our teeth. I went to the lobby to checkout fully expecting an explanation or what happened and at the very least an apology and a discount on our rate. This was our first vacation since before the pandemic started and we spent a pretty penny on this room. NOPE. The person behind the counter took my room key and said have a great day. I was speechless. I understand things happen and things break, but I couldn't believe there was no apology, no offer of a discount. I'm a very easy-going person but even I thought that was unacceptable given the situation we were put in.
