I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed staying at this motel. The rooms were clean and quiet. I loved that there was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. The pool was clean and just the right temperature. The owner was very kind and went out of his way to help make your stay more enjoyable in whatever way he could. I can't wait to go back!! A very solid motel when you're just looking for a comfortable place to sleep and clean up. I only needed to spend one night here. The staff is friendly and helpful, and seemed willing to offer suggestions. They made sure I understood which building my room was located and where to park. They were quick upon check-out as well. I didn't have time to take advantage of the patio chairs just outside the room and the trails nearby, nor did I have time to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast offerings. But the bed was comfortable. The room temperature was easy to adjust. The shower took a bit of time to get hot water but I was able to take a nice shower. The only odd thing was the bath towels were on the table next to the bed, instead of in the bathroom so I forgot to take them to the bathroom with me. Some banging noises on the roof woke me up a little before I wanted to wake up, but I can't complain too much about work they might need to do. Wouldn't mind staying here again. read more

I had several people from my wedding stay at this place. Most of them reported issues with their room, such as mold, bad smells, and even bedbugs. I reached out to management for multiple weeks and did not hear back from them. Once I finally got in contact with them, they expressed that it's not their problem and that they would not do anything to make the situation right. I would highly suggest you find somewhere else to stay rather than this establishment. read more

This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. It was extremely musty and dirty. The housekeeping was non-existent. Unless you ask for your linens to be changed or ask for new towels or additional towels as there were none for the pool, you don't receive any. The picnic tables were covered with bird crap that was never cleaned up. Couldn't open the windows because the outside of the unit was absolutely filthy. I really am not sure how people are rating this and 8 or 9 out of 10. Very very disappointed. Most of the days I was there I could not even stay in the room because of the musty smell. read more

In the beginning of my road trip to Maine and possible Nova Scotia. I met an old friend in Wellfleet and lost track of time. I booked the room at about 7pm and left my friend's house at 10pm. The gentleman answered the phone, I apologized profusely. He left the key in the room and I got there about 10mins later. The room and grounds were probably one of the best I have stayed at in quite a while. Was highly satisfied with the bed and had a very restful sleep. From the pictures we saw on line it looked decent. Well, must have been 50 years ago. Looked nothing like that when we drove into it. No sign, grass or building upkeep. Bedspread stained so did not dare to put blankets on. Chairs stained so we would not sit on them. After showering and walking on rugs feet were black. Coffee pot filthy. Over $400.00 for two nights. Well back to Maine we will go. Eastham also does not have much around so not worth the price. So much for a needed couple of nights away. Would not go back if it was free. read more

After canceling our stay at the Captain Quarters (check out my review) after one night of our 4-night stay, we found this gem! yay...they had vacancy on a Monday! Perfect for our family vacation. Centrally located. Clean and private outdoor pool. A play structure. Next to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Clean rooms. We had room# 137-138 and right out of our rooms was a large grassy area for the kids to play ball and run around. In fact, there are plenty of grassy ares throughout the property. Also, there are picnic tables and BBQ grills scattered throughout (I'll remember that for the next time). And the staff was great! I would highly recommend! read more

Found Viking shores online while looking for an affordable hotel close to eastham. The motel is right on route 6 and beside the bike trail. Excellent location. Arrived and the motel is family owned/ very nice people. Room was clean. No frills, but perfect jumping off point for adventures on the cape. Free breakfast and internet. Wifi was reliable. Definitely recommend and will be coming back. read more

I spent a night here at the beginning of October. It was off season. I enjoyed my stay. I hadn't been to the Cape in over 30 years and wasn't disappointed. I knew that it isn't a fancy place. It isn't new. The price was right and I'd visit again. The grounds were well kept. The room was tidy. The customer service was very good. Plenty of towels, tiny bars of soap and shampoo bottles. This Motel is such a steal! My husband and I drove up last minute from jersey to spend the weekend and found this gem last minute. Luckily we were able to get one of the last rooms on priceline for a terrific price. Check in was easy & simple, the room was clean, quiet and full functioning. But the best part about it was definitely the location. Eastham was the perfect place to stay, so many great restaurants and fun things to do, and you're right near the beach! 30 mins away from pTown. We really enjoyed ourselves and so happy we stayed here. Well-kept, friendly staff, clean rooms, and quiet location, all for a great low price. We will definitely be back! read more

Meh. I thought with all the 5-star reviews that this place would be amazing, but... not really. I'll start with the positives: Good price, no bugs, no bad smell in the room, friendly staff, and easy check-in/check-out process. The bad: very outdated room, bathtub didn't drain and the water piled up, (gross!), no conditioner, lotion, or tissues in the room, the TV remote didn't work and I couldn't change any of the channels, and the room was noisy from constant banging sounds of other guests. The floors are old and wooden underneath the carpet and people walking around sounds like elephants! Also... the breakfast was bare bones. This place was fine for one night, but I wouldn't stay for longer than that. read more

While the rooms were adequate for a budget motel, our stay was less than pleasurable when we discovered that we had absolutely NO hot water for our shower. To compound the issue, when we addressed the issue with the management, their response was: "We'll have to look into that." No apology, no accommodation. I was looking for an inexpensive hotel on the Cape and luckily found this motel. The cost is very low considering most places on the Cape( fancy or not so much) are all pricey during the summer. Upon arrival, it was very low key( very) and the room was very lackluster. There was not even a blanket or bedspread on the bed. I found a lovely girl who cared for the rooms and she gave me a new blanket and cover. There is something to say about a place where everyone is smiling, mellow and helpful. It had a pool..( an asset for sure) and a very nice FREE breakfast(...another asset..) As the week progressed, I found myself so content, cozy and unbothered by anything. There truly is something to say about No Frills. Sometimes Frills have distant, rude or holier than thou guests which is a turn off. And service, not so much with a " smile" as they say. My wife Debbi and I have stayed at this charming property many times. It is clean, well managed, welcoming and relaxing. It is family-owned and managed by a young husband and wife team, on site, and they do a great job. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The pool is always well-maintained and not usually crowded. The Continental breakfast they provide is extremely generous. The grounds on the property are impeccable, and adjacent to the Cape Cod Bike Trail, which you can take all the way to Provincetown. A beautiful property for anyone who wants to visit the Cape Cod National Seashore. read more

Without a doubt THE BEST motel in the east ham area. DO NOT let the price fool you!! You will pay for a two star room and receive a 4 star room for it. The rooms where extremely clean, well managed, and up to date. The couple who run it were delightful, Easy to talk to and accommodating. The free breakfast consisted of a plethora of very good cerials​, toasts, pastries, bagels, and other good breakfast delights, including a juice machine. My fiance and I will NOT be staying at any other motels in this area again. We have found a home away from home here. Try it for your self.....it's like winning the lottery. read more

We stayed for a quick getaway with our 2 year old when our other accommodations fell through. The grounds are nice, the staff is friendly, there is a little playscape for the kiddos, outside grills and areas for a picnic, a nice pool and clean rooms. A word about the rooms that others have mentioned. The rooms are outdated (but as a frequent traveler to the Cape I actually appreciate the charm of it!), the A/C works WELL and in July it was needed, we had a queen room and had a small table and two chairs which was super helpful for snacks and dinner with our daughter and had plenty of storage space for our belongings. There were a few drawbacks, though nothing major. The pillows were incredibly flat and made it difficult to get a solid sleep. I would recommend bringing your own if you're someone who appreciates a good, comfortable pillow. Also, the shower did not drain very well causing some back up which after a day at the beach made for a sandy shower. All in all, the price was super reasonable and we booked on a short notice so I was glad to have gotten a room! It's also in a really convenient location which was helpful! read more

This place is just what we Wanted. A clean, comfy room, close to beaches and biking( it's right on the rail trail) and a pool for the kids. You are a loser if you come to the cape and stay anywhere with the title of Sheraton or Holiday Inn. You need to get the local flavor of a family run motor inn! This is the place. Great value and a free breakfast bar for all of us too! The owners Zach and Shelby are super nice and are doing a great job carrying on a long standing Cape Cod tradition of running a charming family owned business. There are BBQ pits (take advantage..it's fun) and lots of grass for the kids to run around. Tons of resturaunts in the area and Ptown only 15 minutes away. read more
