Fairfield Inn Cape Cod on October 3 and 4, 2025. The first day of my stay was excellent -- the room was clean, comfortable, and met my expectations. However, the following day I encountered unprofessional and unsanitary conditions that have left me extremely concerned. On Saturday afternoon, I approached the housekeeping staff to request clean towels and politely asked that they not clean my room. The housekeeper I spoke to was dismissive and rude. She asked me to place the used towels on the floor, then handed me a trash bag and instructed me to place the towels inside myself. I found this behavior unprofessional and disrespectful. Worse yet, on Sunday morning, while drying myself after a shower, I was horrified to discover dried blood on one of the supposedly clean towels that the same housekeeper had given me. It was extremely disturbing and unacceptable for a hotel of Marriott's standards. I immediately re-showered and used a clean shirt to dry myself instead. At checkout, I showed the photo of the towel to a front desk employee (a Latina woman), who asked for my phone number on a yellow sticky note and told me the manager would contact me. No one has called me since, and it has been several days.

First thing I noticed at hotel was the overflowing trash can & cigarette stand with dirty/ smelly rain water. Front desk agent seemed annoyed during check in process, he was not friendly at all, didn't smile, didn't check my ID, or share any relevant information about the property (pool, breakfast, wifi, etc.). Was assigned a room on the 1st floor & immediately noticed the room smelled like mildew. I was only there for one night so did not attempt to switch rooms. After dinner I decided to check out the pool, when I tried to use my keycard to access the area I was denied & noticed a sign that directed guests to go back to the front desk for entry. The same man from check in was there (still lacking customer service). Plenty of towels & chairs in pool area, water was cold & I only stayed in for two minutes until I noticed the mold/ scum surrounding the edge (especially on the chair lift). There was also lots rust stains in the pool by pipes). Back to the room, shower head was broken, water was hot & had ok pressure, good products. Bed was ok. Air was ok. Coffee maker & microwave in room. I missed the free breakfast but was happy hot coffee, tea & hot chocolate were still available before checking out.

Beds were super comfortable. That's the good. Took a shower in the morning and tub filled up halfway with water. Never drained. Then I noticed these red spots on my legs that were super itchy. Bed bugs! First time ever. Told the manager upon checking out and thought they'd at least offer us a cold drink or a pint of ice cream...anything, but no, just an apology.

Nice hotel. I've…read morebeen here 4-5 times, the most recent last week. The hotel is centrally located on Cape Cod. Close to many restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. The prices are fair. There is a nice indoor pool and hot tub area. The free breakfast is mediocre. They supply free coffee all day long and free cookies served each night, which is a nice touch.

We have stayed at this location before and enjoyed it. This was supposed to be a 10 day stay, and…read morelet me start by saying, by day 3, we had checked out of this hotel. We checked in and went to our assigned room. We quickly discovered the room to be quite filthy. There was long black hair everywhere. On the countertops, in the bathtub, on the tile floor where the kitchen sick was, and even large clumps under the vanity sink. I immediately went to the front desk and spoke to the GM "Elissa." She was very apologetic and sent a housekeeper down shortly after. The housekeeper visited our room to "re-clean" it, and once she left, there was still hair all over the place. I didn't want to complain to the front desk for a second time, so I did the best I could by washing some of those surfaces myself. Unfortunately, it didnt end there. We went to the the breakfast buffet all three days between 8 and 8:30. It was atrocious. It was very overcrowded and items were not replenished once empty. There was only one working waffle maker that left many people waiting 8-10 people deep in line. Juice machine was "out of order" with no alternative offered other than coffee and tea. Oatmeal was empty. Milk was empty. Cereal container was empty. It was just downright awful. Ive never had this type of experience at any hotel breakfast. There were two restrooms across from the dining area that were BOTH "out of order" the entirety of our stay. So basically the only available restroom was the one in our room. Housekeeping services are supposed to be started on day two of guests stays. Our mounted shower gel was empty. I went to the front desk at 10am asking for a replacement. I waited around all day. Nobody came. I texted the front desk around 3PM asking if we had been forgotten about and was told someone would be down in 5 minutes. Another hour and a half went by, and it was finally delivered to our door at 5PM.... Housekeeper never entered the room. Thats all that was done. Our trashes remained overflowing. Our shampoo and conditioner were empty shorly after. No fresh towels were delivered. It was just bad. The worst part, which forced us to leave early was the discomfort in the beds. I can't even begin to explain how uncomfortable the beds in our room were. The pull out sleeper was like sleeping on straight mattress springs. It left my daughter with severe neck and shoulder pain. The king size bed was just as bad. My husband and I couldn't sleep at all because the bed was so uncomfortable. We tossed and turned all night long and woke up with neck, back, and hip pain. On day two of our stay, I also noticed tiny black ants on the wall next to our bed, and two of them IN our bed. We couldn't take it anymore, so we checked out of the hotel after just 3 short, painfully agonizing days. We spoke to the GM again and explained why we had to leave. She was apologetic but did not offer to compensate any part of our stay. It was by far the most disappointing vacations ever. We had looked forward to this vacation for months to be seriously disappointed. Would not recommend this hotel. Look elsewhere.

We came in after the room had been cleaned and found the floors covered with humidity, the maid turned the ac off. I used a towel to wipe off the condensation, and it turned black, see photo. Dirty floors. Breakfast was included on our package. It was the same each day: -eggs -bacon -sausage -potatoes -pancakes Plus. The normal cereal, one type of bread, and one kind of so-so muffin. Nothing to write home about. But it was good, just not "resort" quality. We did see the restaurant manager checking on food, and greeting people. The coffee was good, with real half n half offered. In the evening there was a self serve s'mores table with chocolate, Graham crackers, and marshmallows. Simply take the goodies outside to one of the many fire pits. Nice. One evening there was line dancing lessons. The bar has live entertainment.

We waited about 25 minutes to be sat for lunch at the restaurant in the hotel and they were so understaffed it took a while just to get waters. I got the steak tacos for lunch though and those were literally to die for I've been dreaming of them since. The pools were overrun by teenagers not being watched by their parents because all the parents were in the bar line or just not paying attention, felt bad for the lifeguards who kept having to literally yell at them and blow their whistles while they continued to not listen. At around 11/11:30PM I ended up in the hallway confronting a group of teenage girls who were literally screaming their heads off for whatever reason, I was trying to get my toddlers to bed and they wouldn't sleep because the girls in the adjoining room were just such a nuisance. However after telling them if they didn't keep it down I was calling security and their parents (who no surprise were at the bar), they kept it quiet the rest of the night. So overall we had a good time, room was nice and comfy, pool area overall was great aside from insane teens and drunk parents. Probably won't be back again anytime soon though.

God awful excuse for a "resort" and "hotel"! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Sand in the room that was never cleaned out despite us never going to the beach. Room turnover needed to be requested several times and all they did was change out the towels. We needed to place a "special request" to have the sheets turned over ONE TIME! One of the pillow cases had blood stains on it and we had no idea where it came from (not us...disgusting!). Food options at the "restaurant" were minimal and the quality was poor! Walls are paper thin can hear everything our neighbors do both on our floor and upstairs/downstairs. Overall, cannot believe how much they charge for this place compared to how little they provide. Their only selling point is location. Would give ZERO stars if I could!

The bathroom was large and while not one of the more modern bathrooms I've seen, it did provide all of the accessories a traveler would need. The room also offered a Keurig coffee machine and a mini fridge in the room. The bed was a large king size bed, the mattress was a bit soft for my preference. For those who may be visiting the hospital, this hotel is also across the street from the hospital. Even though they were fully booked for the weekend, our room was as quiet as if we were the only ones in residence. The view of the garden was beautiful, with a variety of gardens and sitting areas. The bathroom had a large shower with rain showerhead. The bed and linens were extremely comfortable, and multiple USB charging ports were on each nightstand. Breakfast each morning was an experience in itself, handmade by the innkeepers and featuring items from their gardens and local organic farms. One of us is vegan, and Kathleen carefully adapted all breakfasts to meet the same delicious standards as the non-vegan offerings. Of note for non-vegans, Kathleen and Chuck worked with a local butcher to develop a custom breakfast sausage recipe. The result is fabulous! In addition to breakfast, afternoon snacks are provided for each guest, in individually labeled boxes. Both vegan and non-vegan snacks were, of course, scrumptious! There is also a self-service coffee and tea station available to guests at all times. The location is convenient and lovely. I went out for a morning walk both days, and enjoyed my route along the coastal marshes and inlets, as well as beautiful Cape Cod architecture and historic buildings. Off street parking provided for one car per room. The inn is a short drive away from all Cape Cod destinations.
