I took my car to Fairfield Chevrolet for a full inspection and basic services like oil change, brake fluid service, and transmission service. I emphasized that the inspection was the most important part, since I drive less than 5,000 miles a year. They told me everything was mechanically fine. A few months later, I took the car to Cadillac Vallejo for preventive maintenance and was told it needed over $11,000 in repairs including: a left engine mount, a left upper suspension control arm, alignment, a leaking engine oil pan gasket, and a differential actuator and some other issues. I verified all of this with an independent shop. When I asked Fairfield about it, their response was that they don't work on cars older than 5 years, even though I was literally just in their shop months prior. This level of negligence is unbelievable. Their "inspection" was worthless and could have cost me the car. I don't even know if they did the work I requested, Fairfield Chevrolet should be avoided at all costs. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they shut down soon. Beware of bait and switch tactics working with Miguel and Paulina. I was quoted an out-the-door price on a 2026 Traverse. I agreed to the deal, and at their request I sent over all of my personal information in advance, including my ID, Social Security Number, and address. The next day, shortly before my scheduled appointment to pick up the car, they emailed to say they had great news and had added an additional discount off MSRP. Attached were the invoice and financing paperwork. What they clearly expected me not to notice was that the total price had actually gone up by about $3,000. When I questioned it, I was told that "the car we quoted you on yesterday no longer exists." The whole experience felt like exactly the kind of bait and switch people try to avoid when buying a car, and I will not be doing business with this dealership again. Beware!!! Had my front shocks replaced here at the Fairfield Chevy Service dept 4 months ago. Happened to look under my car and noticed the whole undercarriage cover was not installed. Went to the dealership and it was there. No one cared to call me to tell me they forgot to install this 3 by 4 foot panel. I reached out once with interest about one of their cars, but quickly decided not to follow-through with checking out the car in person after reading other Yelp reviews. I continued getting text messages from new salespeople even after responding with the word STOP as requested. They just went around this by texting from different numbers, I guess. Recently I purchased a Chevrolet vehicle at another dealership. I asked for them to check it out the vehicle to make sure its all good. I made an appointment showed up. The lady told me they would need to do a diagnostic which will cost $250. I said cool. I'm going to pay with affirm. Then she called someone to come in. I guess he was a mechanic. He tells me he can't tell me if the car is going to mess up in future. So I simply stated I just want to know if the car is good and I didn't buy anything bad. Then he said I can do a state inspection. Now I was getting a weird feeling. In the midst of all this i asked again how do I pay with the affirm. Since they have a sign saying you can pay with affirm. I felt dismissed and since I was paying with affirm they didnt want to help me. Or simply they didn't know what they were doing. I set up an appointment to have my EV checked out due to some problems while traveling. Day of my appointment, I called their office and gave them my details because I was running about 20 min late, they said no problem. I pulled into the service bay. A CSR walked past me and sat down at his desk and didn't say anything to me. I gathered up all my personal stuff and walked in. THEN one of the three CSRs tell me that the one EV tech is out today, so they would love it if I could leave my car overnight and they would get to it the next day. No offer of a shuttle or loaner car. They had multiple opportunities to communicate to me what was happening and just didn't until the last second. Just get off your butts and go talk to people. I guess over the years they improved a lot, from customer service, parts department, and service department. Finally hired some good people. The service department got renovated and looks very pleasant and comfortable to wait for your car. The staff sounds they're knowledgeable especially the parts person. The last time I was here buying parts the guy didn't even know how to look for it in the computer and don't know how to talk car parts, it felt like the parts guy called in sick and put a car sales person to cover. I've debated doing this for a long time because the sales rep, Sher was so pleasant and kind, but this dealership really screwed me over. I took the vehicle off site for an inspection and there was a leak in the timing cover. I told them I wouldn't purchase unless they fixed it. They agreed and the car sat in the bay untouched for around two weeks. I live 1.5 hours away and they did not offer a loaner car, to ship the vehicle out to me when finished, nothing. Every time I called they said it was being looked at as we spoke, only for me to find out later that wasn't the case at all. They 100% did this because they knew my other vehicle was no longer drivable and I could only afford to rent a car for so long. So I eventually had to just go and pick up the vehicle as there was no other option. Within 2 weeks the cars paint cracked during a hard freeze and it turns out, the power windows on the drivers side never worked properly which is the one thing I and the off site mechanic didn't check. The sales rep I worked with, Jessica, was the rudest person. The only saving grace at this place was Sher and also Naveeda, in finance. They were both very sweet. read more

Drove an hour from Lodi with a pre approval from Capital One to see a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado Redline Edition advertised for $37,565. After driving the truck we sat down to make a deal and the sales person Obie was trying to add another $7500 to the truck for the redline edition. After leaving the dealership I contacted my sister who is a attorney and she sent me this. Under California Vehicle Code section 11713.1(e), when car dealers publish advertisements for cars and trucks, and those ads include asking prices, then the dealers are prohibited from selling the advertised vehicles for more than their advertised prices, unless the ads specifically list expiration dates that have passed. Further, Section 260.04(b) of the regulations promulgated by California's Department of Motor Vehicles further mandates that advertised vehicles "must be sold at or below the advertised price irrespective of whether or not the advertised price has been communicated to the purchaser." Therefore, if a car dealer sold you a car or truck for more than the price at which the vehicle was advertised, then the dealer likely violated the law, and it does not matter whether or not you saw the advertisement prior to buying the vehicle. After calling the dealership they switched the price to $44k. Spoke to Red at 11am who said he'll call me back in a few minutes that was 3 hours ago. Still no call. I call again spoke to Armando who hung up the telephone staying he couldn't finance me even though I am pre approved. THEY RAN MY CREDIT WITHOUT MY CONSENT. ILLEGAL. He was discriminating, defaming and made me feel like sh*t. They are bait and switching customers. After a week or so the check engine light came on so I took the car back in. If we are going to pay why would a place say they can't work on it any longer.
