Under new management and oh my goodness it is amazing!! My entire family went in on a Saturday and we all got taken care of immediately with no wait! Even if we had to wait it would have been fine due to their assortment of drinks! I got dip powder on my nails and they have SO MANY COLORS, and amazing patient nail techs! The salon itself was soo clean and no chemical fumes! I am so impressed and will continue to return for my nails and toes! I travel for a living, so I get my nails and pedicures done all over the country. Last year, I was in town and my hotel was nearby, so I came here for a pedicure. I left wishing all nail spas gave such attention to their pedicures, it was incredible! So, this year while I was in town I went back! I was excited remembering how much I loved it the year prior. I still had a pretty amazing experience. I came back to the hotel and raved about how great it was to my coworkers. Friday rolled around and a coworker was excited because it was payday, she worked hard and she was going to treat herself to a pedicure since I had raved about it. I AM APPALLED and HEARTBROKEN to hear of the disrespect and lack of customer service she received. She didn't even have the opportunity to have a service done, she left feeling enraged and almost in tears. Why you ask? Because of the color of her skin. She said she had never felt more racism towards her in her life. I sent her to an establishment that treated her terribly because of the color of her skin, my friend, someone a care for! I am so disgusted, women come to these places to feel pampered, to feel relaxed and to feel beautiful. Fairview Nail Spa, you did not do job! SHAME ON YOU for tearing down another human being instead of lifting them up. I am giving them two stars because my eyebrow wax was ok. My nails however are a different story. I believe the manager did my nails. It was done late at night and the lighting was very dim. Upon further inspection I realized my nails were not painted completely. I rarely get my nails done so this was super disappointing. I had the gel done and had some on my skin. The gel is uneven on some nails and he didn't get close to my cuticle. I had my nails done a week a go and it looks like it's been several weeks. Very disappointing. read more

Wish I could give 10 stars! I unfortunately didn't catch the cool lady's name but she did flawless on my eyebrows and it took like maybe 5 minutes or less. I've never felt this hot! Thanks nice lady :D while she was doing it she told me "no pain, no gain baby!" Awesome haha. Going back as soon as my eyebrows get all ghetto caveman again. -super nice clean looking place by the way. Lovely fountain and it was quiet when we went. I've been here three times and have had great service every time! I got the spa pedicure with hot stones and it was really relaxing with a decent leg massage, my toenails turned out great and stayed polished with no chips for about three weeks. I've had two next gen nail sets done and each one lasted two and a half weeks until they were grown out. I work with my hands in a retail stock room and not one has broken off or chipped. I do wish they had a better color selection because my job is strict about colors and no glitter, but they were patient with me while I picked out a color and even helped explain what they will look like when finished. This place is pricey, but the atmosphere is very nice and I am usually very happy with the results. They have wine, on request, bottled water, sodas, etc... The staff is very friendly and work very hard. The manager is always nice, to me, but I have never asked for a discount, LOL. How is this place still in business? Reading these other reviews, I'm kicking myself for not doing my research before wasting $36 on a terrible gel manicure. I should have known--I walked in at 3pm on a Saturday and was the only customer. After picking my color, the nail technician started grooming my nails without asking whether I wanted rounded or squared. When I requested rounded, she seemed obviously annoyed. Then, when I requested warm water after she dunked my nails in freezing cold water (!), she ignored me. When I eventually wasn't pleased with the color, both she and the manager were intensely rude. I understand that the color coming out differently than the sample is not their fault, but I expect quality customer service and a kind "no problem, let's fix it." They were both overtly rude and irritated, making me want to walk out. I went through with the correction, which left my nails a bubble-gum pink rather than the dusty rose I initially wanted. With so many good nail salons in the Allen/Plano/McKinney area, it's a true marvel that this place still gets business. I will obviously not return. read more

I have never had such a terrible pink and white acrylic set before. I have been getting my nails done this way for years and never been so disappointed. Every single nail, and I mean every single nail is either filed crooked, or has a jagged line where the pink and white meets. I am especially frustrated because the nail technician Heip convinced me to get a new set, complaining that the person who did my nails before did such a bad job (which was 100 times better than Heip's) he wouldn't be able to fix it with just a fill. This place is very nice and they do a great job--no complaints there. Problem is with the manager. When asked if I could get on the mailing list for their regular coupon or if he could give us one for next time (it's a 15% off coupon that they mail to only Allen and McKinney), he refused. This is after spending $150 at the salon and explaining that I drive 25 miles just for this salon. They do not know how to keep customers happy and I would have been a customer forever had he not been so uneager to please. The customer service from the owner/front desk guy is atrocious. I got a manicure & pedicure done there less than two weeks ago (paid $130) and the dip on my thumb nail already broke off. I arrived Sunday morning about 10:55 to get it fixed (the doors were open but they don't open till 11.) The young men who were there checked me in and told me 5 minutes. Then the owner came in and told me I would have to wait an additional 15 minutes because I didn't make an appointment like I should have! Make an appointment for a five minute fix? They offer wine which lets face it wine makes anything great! The only part I didn't like was the cost. I got a gel mani and a normal pedi and ended up paying $102.!! Finally got my feet fixed! I came here by accident but don't regret coming. I got the basic pedicure plus callus removed. My heels were horrendous! Literally ashy and ugly geels! I was so embarrassed to show my feet but now I can let people touch them. Anyways so the price is a little high compared to other places. But you want to go to some crappy looking place and have someone touch your feet? I prefer not so I had to suck it in and let my frugal self go. The whole time I was getting my pedi I felt so relaxed! I forgot who touched my toes but she did an awesome job. She knew how to make her job easy and my feet look pretty. Absolutely not worth the money. Decided to get a manicure on my lunch break with a friend and they were very close. They do get stars for cleanliness and having appropriate staffing however they just don't do a very good job. I paid $40 (without the tip) for a BASIC gel manicure (which consisted of polish removal, cutting cuticles, filing and polishing nails the end) and within hours the polish was falling off. Went back and they fixed it.. Within hours it was bubbling and uneven. I decided it was a waste of my time to go back again. Came here on a whim and got a salon pedicure by Kelly. It was probably the best pedicure that I have ever had. She didn't rush or hurry the process along. A rarity in pedicure experiences. After being a loyal customer for years, one of their nail techs accidentally knocked my iPad off of a counter and completely demolished it. Stopped in here while I was visiting my relatives for a mani/pedi. They did a great job. This was my first time to try the ANC nails and Amy did a great job. I am really impressed with how they last. The pedicure was also really good. They did a good job of matching the polish for my toes to the ANC powder on my nails. I have been to Fairview Nails twice. The first time they did a great job on my Shellac manicure and regular pedicure. The second time I returned, I got a regular manicure/regular polish. Everything was fine until the lady that did it rush me out before my nails were dry. My only advice if visiting this salon is to ensure they really understand what type of service you are ordering. I went in with my daughter and was given the "menu" with pedicure options. I said we would both take the Paraffin Pedicure ($49). I was talking to my daughter saying the words that describe it - exfoliates and the paraffin will moisturize her feet. Apparently the service lady took that conversation and gave us the $65 pedicure. I had budgeted $100 for our budget and a tip. When I gave my credit card to the gentleman to run - to my amazement and surprise it was $130!!! I am not sure I will return.
