The food was OK but not exactly what we wanted. We bought gas over for the first time. Other times the food is good.

The family & I had originally planned to eat @ Sams boat after a long day on Lake Conroe .. We were STARVING ! So I ended yelping FJ bc the smell of good food was so intense in the parking lot .. We couldn't help but follow our senses ! Place was definitely a packed house & with a party of 8 we had to wait for an outside table on the dock. Our wait was about 30 mins.. BUT WORTH IT! So our original table was in some dark corner to left of the outside patio .. We couldn't even read our menus . BUT.. Our server ended up moving up to a dock side table .. Happy happy ! Everyone enjoyed the food ! Husband & son shared the fajitas platter for 2 & girls got the cheese enchiladas... No complaints ! Food was fresh, hot & very favorable! I dont remember my dish name ... But IT WAS DELICIOUS (see pic) ! Server was on point & attentive! The other family we were with enjoyed their meal just as much ! Restaurant was nice, clean, decorative to its Mexican theme. Outside dock was lovely (having perfect weather on a Saturday night was a PLUS). And they make their corn & flour tortillas inside HOMEMADE! The only complaint I have is the restroom stall I used was out of TP (I had to get my daughter to hand me some from the next stall ). And when they first sat us we were in a dark corner, other then that .. So for that im giving them 4 stars .. Otherwise it would've been 5! But Everything was Awesome! The food was nothing special , views are nice unless they sit you out in full sun even though they had umbrellas that were not being used... not good for elderly and thought quiet rude to do to disabled people when all the y had shade and they slso had open tables they could had moved is too! Wont go back I did say something and when nothing was done , I ask to keep menu to use as shade! read more

The atmosphere makes this restaurant for me! We sat on the patio with the breezy blowing, watching the boats come and go. We ordered drinks, apps and an order of tacos and none disappointed. We ordered plain queso with tortillas and the tortillas were homemade, very fresh and tasted delicious! They were soft and fluffy! The refried beans were awesome too. We tried the Fireman Tacos and they were just the right amount of spicy and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. All the food was extremely fresh and flavorful. read more

Great location with patio overlooking the lake. They have a fire pit on the patio which was great. We weren't seated right next to it but we got the perfect amount of heat. Also provided a nice ambiance. Food was great and our server did an excellent job. Only thing I found odd was the appetizers werent very innovative or deserving of having the same price as the meals. We were quoted a 20 minute wait and waited 40. Once sat, we watched our waiter greet a table that was sat after us and it took 10 minutes to be greeted. We gave him the entire food and drink order as we had waited a long time to this point. He returned 10 minutes later and asked us our order again as it had still not been put in and "water was spilled on his server book." We ended up just leaving as we were very hungry and lost faith that this restaurant could facilitate serving food and drinks. It's worth noting that 1/4 of the restaurant had empty tables as they were clearly understaffed. While our server wasn't good (I have 9 years restaurant experience), the managerial staff clearly set their team up for failure. To be fair- I have been at this restaurant before and received good service and great food- though they were not busy at all at the time. They were busy this time which has highlighted the shortcomings of this restaurant and the staff. read more

Nice place to come and have a good meal on a Sunday, while watching boats and water activities here in Lake Conroe. Only negative remark I have is on the shrimp fajita meal, kitchen only sent 3 half size shrimp with my plate which wasn't nearly enough to leave full :( other than that, great place to hang out and have a few drinks! read more

The food was exceptionally good the server was very polite very friendly and he did an excellent job. the hostesses were shit they were really rude coming in and rude to me but maybe an off day i do get. that the bartenders that work there are absolutely unreliable at making a decent drink I ordered two margaritas and all I tasted was the margarita sweet-and-sour mix it was disgusting both times it was ridiculous!! paying that much and the bartender had the gall to tell me that if you want it to be better than you can get top shelf that crap might work with a regular person who has never been a bartender but I've been a bartender I can make any margarita taste like a exceptional margarita you got a learn how to mix that right and they did not and it wasn't just me my friend who went with me also said it was a crap drink because I was trying to make sure it wasn't just me. foods and wait staff are fantastic. bartenders suck they definitely new bartenders and new hostesses!! read more

Actually really good food and that is saying a lot Becca use most of the lake front restaurants leave a lot to be desired. The fajitas are some of the tastiest I've had and hey make their own tortillas fresh. Both the beef and chicken were moist and fresh. Chili con queso dips are enjoyable too. Also, I like that they also provide you with shredded cheese for the fajitas - many places don't include that in the Houston area...while other places up charge for sour cream or guacamole. The downside is the service - it's hit or miss at times. Also, their main door is their main exit and it is horribly laid out. It's narrow, cramped and downright dangerous. They need a wider opening or an alternate exit. This restaurant is well sized and its entrance should not pass any building code and certainly not disabled friendly. Please fix this folks! read more

The food was terrible. My wife and I ordered a queso and it never came out. By then we'd placed an order for beef and chicken fajitas, not really worried about the queso anymore, but the fajitas came out cold. We asked to speak with a manager and were greeted by Edwin. He was completely disrespectful to us initially, and us being patrons of the restaurant we figured it was just the stress of the business. After our conversation we saw him showing the same disrespect to the servers of the restaurant. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects a decent experience. read more

Not great. And by not great I mean pretty terrible. We showed up around 7:30 on a Thursday. The lobby was packed and the hostesses working were clearly overwhelmed. After a 30 minute wait, we sat down, but we didn't get greeted for a solid 10 minutes. We were also sat next to the dish pit, which meant constant clanking and workers congregating right next to our table to chat. Our server was very sweet but it was obvious he was having trouble keeping up. He had NO knowledge of the margaritas. We got our food before our drinks. My mom's food wasn't even warm. My quesadilla was okay. Had to flag down our server several times for basic things. I wouldn't recommend going here. read more

My daughter has ALWAYS raved about the service and food and so did my son. I told her she was nuts and about our first and only time visiting there. Well my wife and I took the family out to eat dinner there on 13-February-2018 and OMG, the food and service was totally AMAZING!!! My son ordered the quesadillas and loves them, my wife and I ordered the Ultimate Fajitas for 2. To say it was amazing doesn't begin to touch it. We had a party of 12 that night and the waitress was GREAT!!! She did not mess up one single order and ALWAYS checked on us. I wish I knew her name but she was tall, thin and long blonde hair. She got a nice hefty tip that night. Thank you for restoring our faith in FJ's. My wife and I then returned on Valentines and ordered the same as the night before except we didn't really want all the fixings with the fajitas except for the cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. Our waitress ( a different one) offered us extra veggies (we were thinking just more grilled onions). So we were nicely surprised when we got extra grilled veggies with carrots, broccoli, and zucchini. Oh man, that stuff was good.
