Frozen Margarita. Two straw share.
Holly H.

The salsa was too tomatoey base. Not the chunks but it had a paste flavor to it. Not a fan. The chips were good. The Margarita was not bad, did get a brain freeze; I think their house is only frozen. Had a steak and chicken taco. Not bad! Did not care for the beans and liked the rice, not over flavored or dry! I will try it again. A small place, clean and simple inside. I would say that having two different radios playing at the same time is a bit much. Pick on and leave the other one off. The gal that took my order was super nice! I'll give it another chance. A bit $$

3.5 stars overall. Fajita Pete's is a chain restaurant that has franchise locations in some U.S. states. This particular location in the North Hills of Pittsburgh recently opened. This evening, my husband and I visited this restaurant to order takeout. The restaurant had several tables in a small space. As I stood in line at the cash register, I repeatedly had to move out of the way so that employees could walk past and bring food to the other customers at the tables. Our cashier was smiley and spoke nicely to us. The menu listed foods such as fajitas (e.g., chicken, carnitas/pork, beef, shrimp, veggie, and mixed), burritos, flautas, tacos, quesadillas, salads, tortilla chips with queso and quacamole, and churros. This restaurant also serves alcoholic beverages such as beers and margaritas. My husband and I ordered our food. The cashier could not get her credit-card machine to work, but she got a different machine to accept our payment. She told us that our wait would be about 15 minutes. I did not time our wait, but it was much longer. My husband and I ate our foods at home. Here are our reviews for the foods: Chicken fajitas - 3.5 stars - My husband ate this entree. He said that he was glad that he tried it and that it was filling, but he would not order it again soon. He said that because the business has "fajita" in its name, then it should make higher-quality fajitas. He liked the side of beans, and he described the rice as OK. Chicken quesadilla - 3.5 stars - My quesadilla was cut into four pieces. One of the pieces contained almost no chicken. A good amount of cheese was included in all of the pieces. The ingredients were fresh. I liked this quesadilla, but I expected it to taste better. My beans did not look appetizing, but they tasted good. The rice tasted OK, and I took a few bites of it. Queso - 4 stars - This queso dip was gooey and tasted very good. The accompanying bag of chips was sufficient. Guacamole - 3 stars - This guacamole had an average quality and flavor.

Can I just say they have to go margaritas!!

Very small restaurant seats less than 20 customers. I was surprised by the price point ($18 for shrimp fajitas). I had a 1 person serving - shrimp fajitas, 4 wraps, double rice, and delicious toppings that included really good guacamole. It made 3 large fajitas. I have never tasted a wrap like this one. Doughy, but light served warmed. Did I mention to go margaritas? I ordered chips and queso. Chose the medium queso came with a tiny bag of chips. There is a rewards program. Did I mention to go margarita sold from a glass to a gallon size!? I definitely think I will be back.

Tacos al carbon, and chicken fajitas for a high protein post workout meal! I dip the chips in the beans, salsa for the tacos. Sorry about the pic, but it usually doesn't make it home.

Chicken and steak fajitas, delicious rice and beans, awesome queso and Margs!!

This place is awesome!! So happy to see Texas brought to Pittsburgh! The food is tremendous - Tex Mex with chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas, flautas, queso, guacamole, chips and salsa all made fresh in house. The homemade tortillas are the bomb!! Loved the bustling vibe and met the owners Brittany and Chris - so nice!! The place was packed and the service was still great. Hard to believe it just opened. The best part - the premium in the rocks margarita! And incredible frozen margaritas that you can even get to go!! Get here fast - so happy it's close to my house. I'll be a frequent customer!

Actually grilled chicken breast for the fajitas! Can't wait to try the beef next time.

Y'all! We just moved here from Houston TX over a month ago and have tried and tried to find legit Tex-mex and NO ONE has it. It's all gross stewed chicken. By some miracle we stumbled upon Fajita Pete's and stopped in with low expectations. To our disbelief the chicken was actually grilled and so good! Delicious homemade tortillas and guacamole. Awesome sides. My kids even said they wanted to cry that we finally found a spot. It is seriously that good. Price is totally average for good Tex-Mex. I'd even pay more but don't tell them that. This place is a gem!

Fresh tortillas, churros, and beef/chicken fajitas for two (includes rice, beans, & toppings)

Very large area for seating as well as darts and other games to play. I chose to order the Buffalo chicken wrap and fries. Really good fries and ranch! The buffalo chicken wrap was also really good. One of our guests ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich. This was amazing as we all had a bite. I want to return to have a full one to myself. We had nachos for an appetizer and were underwhelmed. The chips were soft and didn't hold any toppings. The toppings were also kind of lack luster in my opinion. I wouldn't order them again. The wings were perfect and the hot garlic parm was really good. We also had seltzers and mixed drinks. Overall great place to have a quick bite and drinks.

The interior is painted black and has many sports stations and Keno games tuned in on the multitude of tv's. There are high top tables, a huge bar and a section of low top tables. A lot of families were gathered to eat and drink which was nice to see. Our waiter was really terrific! He was very patient, attentive and answered our questions about the large menu. We tried some wings (lemon pepper that were ridiculously coated with salt and nearly inedible and the Carolina Gold that were good) and the onion rings that were really good with big slices of onion in crispy batter. The California wrap was tasty but didn't really match what was described on the menu. It was filled with a 1/2 pound of turkey and bacon (who doesn't like bacon, right?) and a disappointing teeny tiny bit of lettuce tomato and avacado. The balance of meat to veggies was a little off. They have a great selection of beer and liquors but no wines listed that we could see. Overall, Shenanigans is a fun place for bar food and sports viewing.

On my second visit, I ordered a margarita with chips and salsa. The kitchen was very accommodating and allowed me to substitute a double order of salad instead of the usual salsa and guacamole, which I appreciated. Walking into BJ's is like opening a phone book from 1997. The menu is absolutely limitless. Page after page after page of "Sure, we can make that too." If you've ever thought, "I wish one restaurant served pizza, pasta, burgers, tacos, steaks, salads, and probably auto parts," BJ's has you covered. The restaurant is huge and has a long bar. World Cup Soccer was playing...seemed like it could be a fun place to watch sports. We started with beers, a glass of wine, and the spinach artichoke dip. The dip arrived quickly, which was impressive. The dip itself? Perfectly adequate. Not bad. Not good. Just existing. It was the Switzerland of appetizers. Next up, a salad and the burrata pizza. Fair warning: the pizza that arrived appeared to have only a passing acquaintance with the glamorous model featured in the menu photo. Apparently, the menu photographer deserves a raise. The salad and pizza hit the table, but our drinks were still on a spiritual journey somewhere between the bar and our booth. Thankfully, we had water, because dehydration was beginning to feel like a real possibility. Eventually the drinks arrived and we dug in. The pizza was... mediocre. Not offensively bad. Not memorable. Just aggressively average. Somehow it also managed to be dry, which is an impressive achievement for pizza. We asked for extra sauce, and our server happily brought out a cup. Unfortunately, the sauce appeared to have come directly from a refrigerator..... Nothing says "fresh pizza enhancement" quite like cold, cold marinara. To be fair, our server was pleasant, friendly, and genuinely trying his best. He was easily the highlight of the meal. Will we be back? Probably not. With a menu that large, you'd think they'd eventually stumble into greatness. On this visit, they mostly stumbled into mediocrity.
