Can't wait to come back here!! Their Gyro wrap is a good size with plenty of meat inside & very delicious. They were kind enough to give free tzaziki/tahini and spicy sauce on the side. The spicy sauce is sooo spicy but such a great addition. They have a bunch of sodas to choose from & a very large menu. The gentleman was exactly right on estimating when it would be ready and he was really friendly when ordering/delivering the food. They're basically a 5 star place for a reason!

Excellent customer service! Food was made fresh and tasted delicious. Generous portions and reasonable prices. A definite must try! I got the combo plate with gyro and chicken. Seasoned to perfection!

The restaurant is very clean. Was a killer deal for how good the food was in a good quantity too. I'm a big eater and a chicken gyro and two falafels completely filled me up. The whole meal was only 13 bucks. Will definitely come here again.

Food was delicious and costs were very affordable for the quality of product delivered. Service was super friendly, we ordered online which made it easy and pickup was a breeze. When I arrived there were families sitting down and it made for a nice environment. Will be coming here again.

Service: Staff were friendly and quick to get order out. I called while on the way there (just a couple blocks away) and waited no more than 5 minutes for my food. It gave me enough time to look closely at their menu and restaurant. Food: I ordered 3 mixed platters. Food was delicious! The chicken was soft and tender- not dry at all! The gyro is sliced thin. All the protein was layered over a bed of perfectly cooked rice. Pita bread comes with the platter as well as a side of no dressing salad and hummus drizzled with a lil oil. There was quite a lot of food! Enough for 2 meals. Dessert: the perfect accompany after this meal! Baklava was perfectly sweetened, perfectly layered and dusted with a touch of pistachios. My favorite part of this meal was the chili paste the staff offered me on the side! I've never had it before. It's spicy but has a depth of flavor I can't describe. It's very refreshing and delicious! Make sure to get it!

The food here is amazing! The menu is limited but everything is cooked to order and fresh. The sauce for the salad is super light and refreshing with good amount of lemon and seasoning. The gyro was super moist and melted away while eating it with the long grain rice and flavorful taziki sauce. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft inside. Tons of flavor from the falafel mixed with the hummus. They sometimes give you a falafel when you order a mix platter. It's not guaranteed. Service was great and quick. The inside is very clean and welcoming. I would recommend if you are looking for a quick big bite. I will be back.

The food is incredible (I got the mixed platter) and the service is friendly and helpful.

Wow, what an awesome little hidden gem! The food was amazing, the service was super friendly and helpful. I just can't believe they're not packed constantly. Hope you give this place a try cause they will not disappoint.

Both tasted incredible and were such a value for the price. I'm legitimately sad I don't live here so I can't eat here all the time. Their Falafel's Have Lost Their Luster For Me…read more SITREP I live in Midtown on the border of East Sacramento (near Bus 80 and Alhambra, but closer to 29th), and often have to travel the Sac Buslines or Lightrail to get from that border down to the Downtown area. The Falafel Corner was once an enjoyable stop on an itinerary of Downtown treks when the I need to conduct business downtown. I would not normally travel to it UNLESS I had at least one or two errands in the area. But when I DID have a Downtown-trek planned, I always very much looked forward to a stop at the Falafel Corner. THE SETUP My "go-to" dish for my "to-go" lunch cravings was mostly the "Falafel Wrap", a delish Mediterranean flour wrap filled three (3) substantial sized deep-fried Falafel medallions with lettuce, tahini sauce and other yummy spicy ingredients. Sometimes I'd get a Gyro, but not my favorite item at this spot - but a side of Dolmas was always nice along with the falafel wrap - or sometimes just the Dolmas! I'd average a stop here almost once a month - almost commensurate with pay day when I would traffic to my nearest Credit Union ATM machine (none close by in Midtown since they closed the one @ 23rd & K) and grab some cash for the month, at the ATM just 2 blocks away from the Falafel Corner. DISAPPOINTMENT Well, today I stopped to get my lunchtime Falafel Wrap and when I checked the Falafel and unwrapped it to add more spice, the two inside medallions were much smaller now, and they tasted qualitative inferior to the large medallion that they sneakily put at the top so it was the medallion that actually peeks out from the wrap. You wouldn't notice the 2 smaller falafel medallions unless you opened the wrap. This feels purpose, sneaky and bad intent since every falafel wrap in the past were the same three (3) higher quality tasting large medallions. THE LOWDOWN I am no longer enthusiastically recommending the falafel wrap at this spot. I might still get it once in a blue moon, especially if I make clear I'll only get it if I get the 3 better tasting larger falafel medallions in my wrap.

The chicken was well cooked and well seasoned, and the gyro was even better! My husband had the gyro wrap and said it was delicious! It came with fries and I was impressed with how crispy and well seasoned they were. I got the Greek salad and added chicken. The Greek salad was pretty basic, and had almost as much cucumber as lettuce. It came with tahini sauce and chutney sauce. The sauces were fine, but neither were particularly flavorful. This could have benefited from a lemon vinaigrette. We also had the pita bread and hummus plate. The pita was fresh and soft, but the hummus was unfortunately pretty flavorless. I think the meat here was good, but all the accompaniments need a lot of seasoning work. Also, they don't have a soda machine or ice, it's only canned sodas. The employees were super friendly though!!! Also the portions were generous for a very good price!

This location of Falafel Corner is truly special…read more Ammar, who was running the entire shop, is an excellent chef. He added a great balance of spices along with ranch sauce to my two chicken shawarma platters, and the result was outstanding. The chicken was moist, tender, and perfectly spiced, with a bold flavor that stood out immediately. The rice was cooked just right, the hummus was incredibly smooth and creamy, and the pita bread came out fresh, hot, and soft--almost doughy in the best way possible. The extra ranch sauce on top of the shawarma was the perfect finishing touch and really elevated the dish. Beyond the food, the experience itself stood out. The location was very clean, and I had a great conversation with Ammar, who is finishing college and was extremely hospitable. On a rainy Saturday, this was exactly the kind of welcoming, high-quality experience you hope for. I will definitely be coming back to this Falafel Corner location again and again.

As you can imagine, there are a plethora of restaurants that offer this meal, so I think it's important to sort out the good ones - and this is one. Nothing was overdone. The rice was colorful and soft. The meat was tender. It came with two sauces: a light yogurt sauce and another sauce that was very tangy. The hummus was very smooth and creamy. Mix it all together, and you get something very delicious with each bite. This was a takeout order, so I cannot comment too much on service or ambience. One of the cons to my meal is related to the DoorDash interface. As someone who likes to add heat to their meal, this was not present on the DoorDash in her interface. Can someone from falafel corner comment on this? If I want to make the spicy, do I have to put that in the comments? Is there an option in store to do that? In my opinion, that was the biggest thing holding this meal back. Also wish that the pita was a little more fresh and well kept. In terms of packaging it was simply put in a small paper container like the one that holds your fries at McDonald's. I know that's a small detail, but sometimes a nice piece of warm, fresh pita can make a difference.

I called after I was concerned there was a bug or spider in my food after picking it up. The man who answered responded with, "oh that's weird that's never happened before," then hung up. I called back again and then the man claimed they did not hang up on me and pretended like he was answering a new call. These interactions obviously began to make me upset and on top of that the man kept defending themselves saying they don't have that as a problem and that my claim was weird. He then proceeded to state that I shouldn't be rude and instead of apologizing or offering to replace it or refund me, he said what do you want us to do about it? So of course after all this, I wanted a refund. Then he tried again to defend himself and say that my husband ate the same thing and didn't have a problem. But how do two separate foods (bought at two different times) mean that one cannot have a problem? Finally they claimed okay I'll give you a refund and when I asked if they were doing it as we speak or how I would have proof, they changed their answer and said I had to bring it back in and show them proof before they would give a refund. What if I left the area? Overall, I felt I was met with horrible customer service. And I can understand if a bug "accidentally" slips in to food during preparation, sometimes things happen. I can "forgive" that, but to be so unapologetic about it and even defensive and accuse me of being rude because I was upset after finding a bug or being hung up on was rude in itself.
