Double fried chicken that they joked about
    Michael P.

We started going to falafel corner at the end of last year and really enjoyed it. We would go once every week or two. Unfortunately the last few times we've gone in the staff that work the counter have killed the experience. They use inappropriate language while they work, they joked about dropping a fried chicken sandwich patty on the ground, and on our order they joked about it being double fried which in fact it was and it was not edible. The bun was a disaster. There salads came wilted, missing the xtra chicken. It's gotten to the point where we no longer dine there.

TERRIBLE! I got on Yelp to order food on our way to the airport. It said there was a 2 for 1 chicken rice bowl deal. There was literally a bowl of rice with a tiny amount of dried up chicken. But for the fact I was already running late for my flight I wouldve taken it back and got a refund!

We were in the area and my wife could only eat vegetarian so we decided to give this place a try. The place was small and compact but it was nicely designed to make it feel welcoming. We took a minute to see what we wanted. I got the combo plate while my wife got the vegetarian wrap. The combo plate was delicious. I taste was on point and it felt like a very clean eat. There was a good amount of food to the point where I couldn't finish it. I took a bite out of vegetarian wrap and it was delicious. It came out super fresh and hot. The falafel was very flavorful.

Wow! So good! I loved the sauce and the meat was surprisingly tender and also flavorful. Best part was it was such a great price. Service was so quick and staff were really friendly.

Ordered a 2 gyro rice bowl & 2 chicken rice bowl. Taste is great. Ratio of rice 80% to meat 10% & 10% veggies need work. I give a 3 rating instead of a 2 because they had a buy one get one free deal. Ambiance looks great inside, seem like they had a selection of Mediterranean sweets items on display. They

Got the chicken wrap with a side of fries. The wrap was stuffed with flavorful chicken and was honestly bigger than I expected. For the price, especially with what places are charging these days, it felt like a win. The fries were hot, fresh, and plentiful. I don't say that lightly because ya girl likes to eat, so I notice when a place is generous with portions. Service was fine, not overly warm or chatty, but that's okay. This isn't fine dining, and I'm really here for the food. We can't all be smiling 24/7 anyway, that would be a little creepy. All in all, I'd come back. I just wish the sauce had more flavor, because that part fell a bit flat for me.

I went for lunch and the food came out within 5 minutes. I ordered the combination platter, which came with chicken, gyro, rice, salad, and hummus with pita bread. It was a lot of food. My favorite was the gyros. I could've done without the salad. It was a waste of a container as there was barely anything in it.

Paid for extra gyro meat and got not even a tablespoon of meat at all

Meh, overpriced food. I'm glad it's bogo or else it's a waste of money honestly. I door dashed and called to ensure the order is clear yet still there were mistakes. Extra gyro meat $2.99 yet I was barely given a tablespoon of chopped up teeny weeny bits of meat. No salad on 1 bowl, yet they still put it. The hummus being $2 is definitely not worth it, you get a palm sized amount. Not returning.

In a nutshell; always a good place to check out if you want some falafels. Been to this place a few times already and it's always been a good experience. The falafel, the plates, and even the burgers are all a delight. Food doesn't take too long and yet still is cooked and prepped wonderfully. Doesn't seem to be busy so there's always seats to sit at, not the biggest place but a good number of tables. Overall good food good stuff good time.

I use to like this place, but if the owner isn't working the food is below average for the price. It's just not fresh or appetizing. Got a chicken platter with extra chicken almost 20 bucks and was barely any food. Comes in a small container and not in a plate anymore. Got a burger as well, beef bacon was all fat and chewy. Very disappointed.

There was a couple taking a little bit of extra time to order, so I was called to the counter By Gemma. She is definitely an asset to that restaurant. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, personable, throughout my meal, we chatted a little bit, as she came by my table every now and then to make sure everything was OK. You order, they give you a number, and then they bring your food to the table. The menu was large, with appetizers, burgers, gyro,, salads, and desserts. I decided to start with the dip trio. I asked Gemma if it was a large serving, , and she said "not really" . *SPOILER ALERT* it was.... The Baba ganoush had a wonderful. Roasted flavor and you could definitely taste the eggplant, that tzaziki had a wonderful "Tang" to it, which kept it from being too rich, and the hummus was creamy, and delicious. Nothing overwhelmed each other. There was a bit of red pepper on top of the hummus that gave it a tiny kick. There was a generous amount of pita to go with it. I loved the olives. They had a nice briny flavor to them. I normally don't care for green olives, but these were amazing. For my main course, I ordered the chicken pita bowl. Chicken Gyro meat, arugula, lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, tzatziki, and I had a choice of regular or spicy aïoli. Again, I asked her how spicy the spicy aioli was, and she said it was a bit spicy. I decided to try the spicy aïoli, and she offered to put it on the side. That was also very nice I had a choice of Greek fries or rice, and I chose to have half-and-half. The fries were more like small wedges, and they were tender and well seasoned. The rice was just your average white rice, but it did have a very good texture The chicken was tender and flavorful, and again, everything played very well with each other. The spicy aïoli was about halfway up the scale of what I like for spicy, but it had an amazing flavor. I mixed everything together, including the spicy aïoli, and it made for the perfect bite. It came with a few more pieces of that tender pita bread. I ended up with about half of my dip trio, and half of my main course. Enough to take Home for another full meal. The price is on the higher end, but for the amount of the amazing food you get, it was definitely worth it. I will be back. Thank you.

here we go again. Updated review of another local restaurant which i have enjoyed in the past. So…read morehow was our experience. Ambience: still very nice, clean, and inviting. Staff: very very friendly and helpful. I had asked about ingredients used in their entrees and they were very diligent in providing that information. In fact, they had a binder that described all the spices and ingredients used- very very helpful for those with allergy tolerances A+. So what did we order: 1) lamb and beef gyro with lavash bread. this item was huge and our dining companion enjoyed her gyro and could not finish her entree. her greek fries with deep fried potato cubes slightly seasoned. 2) Lamb burger was a very thick patty that consisted of a moist and tender texture. the seasoning was not overt and the brioche bun was good. her only concern was the actual size of the burger. although it was a thick burger the circumference of the burger was a bit small. But she also had all her burger fixins (peppers, cheese, arugula, sauce) on the side which might have made the burger smaller visually. But she did enjoy the flavor. 3) Roasted 1/2 chicken w/rice/chickpeas entree had a nice mild flavor. However, the chicken breast was a little over cooked, but the bird was actually a bit small which might have been the reason it was a little over done. However, the rice and chickpeas peas had a nice flavor which made consuming the dried pieces of chicken breast a little easier to eat. 4) baba ghanoush: this was very very good. it had a hint of lemon which made this appetizer fresher and was a the star of our dining experience. Plus their pita bread is so so soft. yum. Again- staff were very accommodating and provided a nice array of containers for our leftovers.

I especially wanted to see if their lamb shank was still the "star" from my last visit and to try their meat kabobs. So what did we order. 1) Lamb shank (2 orders): again, i believe this entree is one of the best items here. The shank is braised so well that the meat comes right off the bone without any efforts. The flavor is exceptional. it arrives on a bed of rice, hummus, greek salad, and pita bread. This is an item i would order without hesitation. 2) Chicken kabob skewers plate: 6 pieces of boneless white meat that is grilled once the order is placed. The chicken had a nice char and looked great. But the flavor was very mild and grilled a little too long which made the meat a tad dry...perhaps the chicken needed to be marinated longer for the spices to penetrate but the dryness was in preparation over the grill. 3) chicken and beef kabobs skewers plate: again the chicken was grilled a tad too long which made the pieces dry. the beef was moist and had a nice flavor. It also comes with rice and a salad. 4) mixed plate: sliced meat from a rotisserie spit on top of a bed of rice and topped with tzatziki sauce and hot sauce, hummus and greek salad. the sliced meat was a bit dry but more tzatziki sauce on the meat helped. The side salads were very basic. The pita bread is not as soft and fresh as the ones from Jayna Gyro on Alhambra blvd. But I would give 4 stars for the lamb shank and 2-3 stars for the grilled and chicken and beef kabob and rotisserie chicken sliced from the spit.
