Wish the falafel were crispy and that he would've asked what toppings I wanted. Would've opted out of the pickles. The fries were waffle fries, fresh and delish. I have gotten takeout from here twice, and overall the food has been okay. The order is always ready by the time I come, and inside has good seating with condiments at each table. Their food is great for vegetarians and the falafel is even more popular than the chicken among the group I order for. The restaurant has been very communicative by phone and text regarding our delivery catering orders and when I had an urgent question about a recent order, they were very quick to respond by text and resolve the issue. Based on their normal menu they also seem to have great prices for individual dishes and meals, and I'd love to stop in one day for a falafel sandwich for myself. read more

Came here not knowing what to expect and was absolutely in love leaving! Got the lamb shack special and it was soo tender. The rice and veggies were so well seasoned that I could have just had them and been fully satisfied. The service is very fast and very welcoming. I LOVE FREE FOOD WOW! THANKS WORK! for some reason they love catering this place and they always have extra so i snag one. it is a really good breakfast and lunch because i'm just too lazy and can't be bothered to get breakfast on days that i work! but the chicken is good and the falafel is awesome too. i think the sauce is what really sells it tho. it's tangy but still savory and awesome. food always tastes better when it's free! 4 stars!! read more

Falafel on broadway makes the best falafel that I have had in NYC; it has become the only place I go to for falafel in NYC. Why? They have a great mixture of falafel to salad and their salad is a mixture of diced parsley, cucumbers, tomotoes and a little bit of pickle. They use a nice simple tahini sauce and I always get the optional hot sauce that is more tasty than spicy (ideally I would prefer the same flavor but be a bit more spicy). If you have the time, the extra side sample of tahini sauce they give you goes really well with the thick type of spongy pita bread they use, but if you are not going to use it, then please ask not to have it (to avoid plastic and food waste). I go at least once a week with my partner and sometimes we split the sandwich to be able to also enjoy their lentil soup. Friendly staff and the continuous showing of a travel food show is an added plus. All of this food is so much better than the other places. read more

GO HERE. This quaint shop was stumbled upon while we were here visiting Ulysses Grant's burial place. The prices are amazing for the quantity received. And the quality is superb! The gyro sandwich was filled in a pita pocket. So much succulent, tender meat, lettuce and tomatoes and cucumbers, and loaded with creamy and tangy sauces. The falafel sandwich was the same just substituting gyro with soft and fresh falafels. Their French fries are awesome. Fried really well and seasoned beautifully. So crispy yet fluffy on the inside! Wow falafel on Broadway is amazingly delicious. "Ridiculously amazing" per my husband. We wish We had tried it sooner! We had the Mixed Grill Plate w lamb chicken and beef (all cooked super well and very flavorful!) which came a divine sauce and yummy rice, the Falafel Sandwich combo (w fries and a soda for $9.99) we also had the falafel appetizer w tahini - and they gave us extra falafel! All very delicious, filling, quality healthy food. Also, i suggest you call them or order from their website, we initially tried to order through uber eats and our estimates delivery was 60 minutes despite living 10 min from here, so I just called them instead and our food was at our door in 20 minutes flat. So it can be kind of annoying to hear the train. - The cash register asked for a tip when paying with credit even though this is not a sit down restaurant. - I had a hard time asking the cashier what items were vegan because he thought vegetarian and vegan were the same thing. - The food is overpriced. The minute we entered the place, we felt the warmth of the staff. Even the owner made a stop and greeted us and offered suggestions. We tried the shanks special with rice and vegetables. Had Falafel on Broadway from their regular restaurant this time, not just their pop up. This time had the mixed grill platter, with beef, chicken, and lamb. All meats were cooked expertly, and the beef was particularly juicy. The rice was well cooked and the accompanying sauce was delicious. I also got the spinach and cheese pie, in a wonderfully flaky crust, and cauliflower salad. Both very tasty, but the Mediterranean flavors with these two dishes are strong, so if you have a weak palate, it may be a shock. Same for the hummus with beef. Very good, a flavor wave, just be prepared! Also had a refreshing cucumber and tomato salad. Their mint lemonade was beyond refreshing. This is becoming one of my NYC go-tos. read more

Sometimes when I'm hungry but don't know what I want, I walk to this block since there are so many options to choose from. I wasn't craving falafel, but there was a sign outside advertising their daily special - Lamb over rice with vegetables. I can't remember the price at the moment, but I believe it was under $15, great portion size, ready very quickly. It was delicious! The lamb was so tender and very flavorful. The green sauce that it came with was a perfect pairing. The vegetables were cooked in a flavorful sauce - see picture. Delicious grilled chicken, we ordered the Mixed Grill Platter for 2, the Lamb skewers however were very tough. Nevertheless, we also ordered the delicious Mazzah Platter, Lentil soup (wow), and incredible falafel. The chopped veggies were all fresh, and the rice was so good. This place was a very pleasant surprise. It looks pretty unassuming from the outside but it's really high quality, with everything appearing to be handmade. I always start with the zatar pie, and usually get one of the excellent build-your-own sandwiches. They used to have an appetizer called "mesh" that was just mind-blowing. His place is is a hidden gem. I love their daily specials and the guys are super friendly and great hosts. Get the baked lamb if you happen to be lucky and they're serving it that day. Mixed Grill - chicken, lamb, and sausage + 2 sides A great way to get a taste of everything! Surprisingly the chicken was the best of the lot. The lamb was a bit stringy and the sausage a bit dry. There also wasn't an option to pick 2 sides when we ordered online (not sure if that's a bug), I just got 2 scoops of the cucumbery-tomato salad. Otherwise would highly recommend going through their own website for ordering. Appetizer mazza - this was great. Hummus, baba ghanoush, a hefty scoop of the spiced tomato, salad, with falafel on top and generous drizzle of tahini. I am baffled by the recent rave reviews for this place. I ordered here for the first time today. I got the shish Tawook platter and the gyro platter. The ordered arrived late which is no fault of theirs, but did impact how the food arrived which was cold and the salad was wilted. I found both to be disappointing and inedible. There was a sour flavor to both the chicken and the "lamb" gyro meat. Both came with salad (not fresh/green and soggy) that had a light vinaigrette. I thought maybe it was the vinegar that carried over as the hot items were in the same container (no separate compartments) with the salad. Sadly the meat on its own tasted sour and not fresh.
