The lovely owner Rosie will help you navigate this interesting menu that combines Mexican tacos, burritos, burgers and bowls with Mediterranean schwarma, pita and salad. They also offer fresh juice and soups. The brisket tacos were amazing! The mole has the traditional richness, but a slightly different flavor profile since they recently got Kosher certified and don't want to mix dairy with meat. They sell alcohol and have a small area with stools to dine in. There is a fireplace to warm up the restaurant. Stop in for great takeout or dine in!

    Falafel burger! Amazing!

My parents have raved about this place for months... "oh, you've gotta go to Pleasantville... that cute lil' Israeli-Mexican spot owned by the cutest Israeli-Mexican couple..." So on a snow day off, we headed over to this place right by the Metro North to try it out and support a small business, especially during this time. What?!?! This spot is so crazily inventive! Such exciting mixes of cilantro and crispy potato and creamy falafel, and fluffy matzoh balls with soft tortilla chips. The Mexican Latkes are the best latkes I've ever had. The falafel burger is amazing and I'm not even such a fan of falafel. The matzoh ball soup was also outstanding. 5 stars!!!!

Delicious food for cheap in westchester?! Grab a coffee from The Black Cow and come eat one of their bowls. A small, cozy place, and the food is also served really quickly Only thing is the braised lamb bowl is a bit salty once you finish the tortillas it comes with.

Salmon over mushroom risotto with sweet potato.

Although both sandwiches were barely warm -- almost to the point where my husband was considering sending it back to the kitchen. He did not as he didn't want to wait for another sandwich to be brought out. The hand-cut French fries were very good. The coleslaw was okay -- certainly not the best I've had, but far from the worst. They also brought out two types of classic complimentary pickles for the table. Again, they were just okay -- I've definitely had better. One thing to note: the classic half sandwich & cup of soup combo comes with fries, but if you order just a classic sandwich, it does not come with fries, both priced at $17.99. My husband got the cup of lentil soup, which he enjoyed. I ordered the potato salad as a side dish, it was very vinegar-heavy and not really to my taste. I ended up bringing it home and doctoring it up, which made it much better. They had good deli mustard on the table, I asked for Russian dressing since I like that on my pastrami sandwich -- that was good. And of course, you've for to have a Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray or any one of the other Dr Brown flavors. All in all, we enjoyed our lunch. Between the food, the service, and the fact that the place is dated, I'd give it a 3 1/2 stars overall. Free on-site parking is a big parking lot as there are several other stores right in the plaza. I wanted to note that this Deli is dairy free. So no chocolate milk, but you can get a classic egg cream.

This isn't a fancy place--they close early, there are no white tablecloths, no wine list, and the décor leans toward gray veneer booths with red seats. But that's exactly the point. You come here for the food, not the frills. The pickles were outstanding--crisp, flavorful, and the kind you keep reaching for between bites. We both had pastrami on fresh, soft rye with great mustard, and it hit the spot completely. The fries were just right too--crispy overall with those smaller, extra-crunchy pieces mixed in. There's something really satisfying about a place like this. Simple, honest food done well. After a full day of work, it made for a relaxed and genuinely enjoyable date night. We'll definitely be back.

Luckily I went to their website and found out where their current location is (I also updated the business page so hopefully the new address shows) I had not been to the old location so I cannot speak to it but we were a bit confused when we arrived as there was no sign on the awing of the building. My friend had told me that new location was next to Ricotta Bakery so we went in to ask. We were told that we ordered there and the food would be brought to us next door. Of note you can also order from the Ricotta menu which has bakery and non sushi items We ordered and went to wait for our food which was sent out through a pass through for pick up. The space is large but the decor is very sparce . That being said the food was the star of the show. All of the rolls we order (and we ordered several) were fresh and tasty. We left with full bellies which we doesn't always happen when we go for sushi. So don't let the lack of signage and space decor deter you - it's a great place to visit.
