They installed the unit ayear ago, and when we saw water leak inside the room where the split HVAC is located , they first question was have you serviced your line? They did not mentioned any service fee when our Builder Tollbrothers scheduled a Warranty service. I subsequently received a call from the main office and the fee was waived since the unit was under warrantee. I am incredibly disappointed with my service from Falcon. It's sad because I had used them in the past and they were good, but everything over the past year has been horrible. It started with a bait and switch on the sale of a humidifier where I had issue with who was doing the installation and when. I also had a larger media cabinet installed. I got a free year of their maintenance plan with the purchase. During the first visit the technician didn't fully clean the outdoor units becuase he was in a hurry and said he would finish when he came back for the fall service. I tried scheduling my fall service and the earlier time they had available was a month and a half wait. Then on the Monday morning they were scheduled and I had completely moved my schedule around to accommodate I got a text saying they had to cancel and reschedule. The appointment was for Monday the 15. When I called to schedule they said the next available date was the 29, 2 weeks later. After telling that was unacceptable, I was able to get it moved up the 23. We will be switching our maintenance service and using another company for all future HVAC needs. read more

This company is the absolute worst. I bought a new home through Stanley Martin and they contracted these folks to do the HVAC system in our new home. We have been in the house for 10 days, and the AC stopped working, it's August, and we have a 1 year old. I called the "emergency line" since it was 6 pm and our house was about 85 degrees and was told that we didn't mean the warranty standards (mind you we just closed and moved in 10 days ago) and that it wasn't an emergency to them. To call back on Monday, it was Saturday evening. When I pushed back, they said they would "honor it because I had a baby". Then they said they would "pass on a message to the after hours team". After 2 additional calls, and a call to the PM for Stanley Martin, still nothing. It was 10 pm by that point. The next morning (after almost no sleep and our baby crying most of the night). I called 2 more times starting at 7 am. Again was told "they would pass the message along". Finally around 8 am someone texted us, letting us know they would be at our home at 9:10 am. They didn't arrive until 10 am when I called for an eta. They are here now, hopefully they can fix their own shotty work. The lack of empathy, urgency or care is astounding. With everything being so expensive these days, I do not recommend giving this company your money. Save yourself the trouble and find a real profesional company who cares about honoring their own work and customers. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE FOLKS! read more

My newly installed HVAC worked for 1-year. I call Falcon to make repairs or run a diagnostic to figure out the why there is a puddle of water in my utility room and in the basement. The part took two months to come in, mind you this breakdown happened in August when it's hotter than July! After several calls for an update, the part comes in the month of October, which is too cool to run an A/C and unit could not be properly tested until the weather was warmer. Fast forward to May 2025, the weather is warmer it's time to turn on the A/C. After running the unit for a couple of days it happens again! There is water from the A/c the utility room and in the basement. Why I am I having this issue in a newly constructed home?? Falcon says that it's my problem and I will have fix it at my cost! We decided to change out our 19 year old AC system, both the inside and outside units. It was a real pleasure to work with Falcon through their installation supervisor John. We got quotes through a few companies, and Falcon's price is similar to the others. However, the service was above and beyond. They had some surprise extra work thanks to some older items which were no longer code (electric disconnect within arm's reach of outside unit, a valve on the humidifier) which were performed at no extra cost. As I used to work as a quality engineer in automotive, I went over the installation in great detail. Every aspect including pipework, insulation, sealing, ductwork, etc. all looks tidy. Absolutely atrocious. This company was contracted by pulte when our home was built. Issue 1: after moving in we noticed that our top floors would not get cool. Initially they told us that it "takes time" for the AC to start working (utter BS). When we finally got them to come out it took 3 visits (all of which were ALL day spans, missing an entire day of work) to figure out they had screwed the damper shut when they installed the ducts. 3 days of work missed for complete incompetence. Issue 2: never installed the humidifier we purchased. Called them to finally get it added. They installed it in front of the zone control board... making to completely inaccessible. Any blind person could see you can't just leave the control board in it's location with the humidifier installed there. Extra important for issue 3. Issue 3: my zonex digitract 3 zone control board was not functioning properly. I can. Zonex tech support and we troubleshoot. After sending some pictures he immediately sees the problem. They have wired the power for the dampers into the power for the board. Which ensures any time a damper is closed, the entire board is getting hit with the power draw. Zonex said this is guaranteed to destroy your board in a couple of years (been in the house for 3 years). The manual for the device explicitly tells you that you need a dedicated transformer for the damper control. Issue 4: called about issue 3. Told I need to pay them 120 bucks to come diagnose the issue. I told them the issue, it's their bad install. They don't care. Do not use this company. They have been nothing but trouble. read more

The customer service starts at the top with this company and it matters not which division you work with; new service, deferred maintenance, billing, etc,. it's the same response; excellence each and every time. Most of the builders contractors are pretty horrible and had to find new plumbing, security, and low voltage installation services. However, they hit a hole run with Falcon. Falcon's customer service is beyond unprofessional (will laugh and hang up on you and be openly rude). It is also near impossible to reach someone who can help or even have the supervisor pick up or call back. The mini split in my home that was installed by Falcon has broken every single year. The most recent one that was again replaced by Falcon under our builder warranty is broken again in less than a year. I am told I have to wait almost two weeks just to get someone to come out to look at it because the warranty department is so busy. The thermostat has been reading 85-90 degrees. Falcon's default reply seems to be that they don't recognize you as a customer because they are separate from the new construction department, now conveniently known as "FRNC" which you can't even leave a review for. However, regardless of whether I call the number for Falcon 571-832-0426 or their warranty department 703-450-7777, I somehow reach the same customer service representatives. I still haven't heard back to even confirm I have an appointment with them. read more

When the temperature hit 80 degrees last week, when I got home from work on Friday, it was to warm inside my new condo. I opened all of the windows - but the upstairs just would not cool off. So I went to turn on the AC for the very first time. After a couple of hours - nothing. No cold air. The system was just blowing air. So I contacted the Builder on Saturday morning. They advised me to contact the HVAC contractor. I called - but they were closed on weekends. So I had the Builder call them first thing Monday morning - a few minutes later I got a call from Falcon - they were sending someone right out and they would be here before noon. Nice! The technician arrived right at 10:00 am. He went right to work inspecting and testing everything. Within 20 minutes he had nailed the problem - something to do with the exterior unit outside on the pad not working properly. He repaired the problem and tested the system again. It was getting damn cold in my condo during his test - the AC was working really well once he fixed the problem! I couldn't wait for him to finish so I could turn the heat back on. I was pretty happy with how quickly they responded to the call from my Builder and how efficiently the technician was with addressing the problem. read more

I am adding an Feb 19, 2021 update to a service call four months ago regarding a visit two days ago in connection with our heat pump operation and performance. Again, Henry was the tech and his visit was consistent with all of the attributes listed below. Today I had a follow-up question about our unit and its controls. I called Falcon and was connected to the service manager who expertly, enthusiastically and clearly answered my questions. It mattered to me that he was able to quickly pull up make/model info on our unit so he could answer accurately. That's so important, but not all companies can do that. Will I trust Falcon with a long-term maintenance agreement based on their performance so far from receptionist to tech to service manager - you bet. We had two service visits by Falcon techs: Edgar and Henry. Both were very knowledgeable, courteous and willing to communicate their findings throughout their visit. On this most recent visit, Henry replaced a third-party "smart" thermostat with the original Trane unit. He was able to correct the issue and. before leaving. confirmed that all modes of our rather complex two-stage heat, two-stage cool heat pump were operating properly. During the visit he willingly answered questions about humidifiers and service plans, which was appreciated. Falcon techs take appropriate Covid-19 precautions and wear foot coverings. read more

I can't speak for the quality of the work, because I never made it past the initial phone call. The service department insisted they couldn't find my address, demanded a lot number (which I didn't know off the top of my head), needed the settlement date, and when I asked what the issue was, he wouldn't give a straight answer. I told him his sticker was on the unit and they had obviously serviced it before, and he said "well it doesn't mean I can service it now." I said maybe it would be best if I called someone else...but he probably didn't hear that because he hung up mid-sentence. Found a much more customer service friendly company right afterwards. Falcon management should take note- you're losing customers on the phone call because of how nasty your employees are. read more

For years we have had a service contract with Falcon. I prefer to have a contract because I really don't like surprise expenses. They come 2 times per year. Every service technician has been on time, respectful, friendly, and explains things in a way I can understand. They show me pictures too. That is helpful. When something is not working right - I'm always given options and time to think. I never feel like I'm getting a hard sell on anything. Many times it's just an"quick tweak" and it will be fine. They always check back with me to make sure all is well and that I'm happy. And I am. I can also say that this tome there was extra care to maintain safety precautions inside my home (we are still in Covid...) oh. And I got a really nice reusable shopping bag. They're good! read more

This is definitely a 5 star company. My heat went out during 30 degree weather and I needed to get a new heat pump/compressor. Falcon was there for me to ensure my heat was returned as soon as possible. Everyone I met, from Carl, the estimator, to Juan, the repair technician, and Correy, Jason, and Jose on the installation team, were all extremely professional and knowledgeable. My A/C unit broke on a hot day and I had another company determine that the blower motor needed to be replaced. They did not have the part and could not estimate when they would receive it. I contacted Falcon since they are authorized by trane. I was assured that the technician who showed up would have a truck full of parts and they could fix my system. I asked them not to show up to my house unless they could confirm they had the part. I received a call from someone who was not sure if they had the part but would reach out to the tech. The tech showed up at my house and not only did he not have the part, he did not know that we needed a specific part. After several minutes on the phone with his manager, he confirmed they did not have the part in stock and would need to order it. They would call me first thing to let me know when the part would be in. I did not receive a call until late morning asking me if I really wanted the part. By then, I was so frustrated with them I told them that we no longer needed their services. read more

I have an HVAC service plan with the company and had them service me once and all went well. They gave me a window of 2pm - 6pm but I didn't get off from work and wouldn't be home until 3:10 pm. I was told that is ok and all went well. The technician was there a bit early and waited after he called me. I called for a plumbing issue and explained that I couldn't be home until 3:10 pm. They said I could get the latest window from 2pm - 6pm. After explaining that I couldn't get home until 3:10 pm, they said they could not accept the service call order unless I could be there at 2:00 pm. They accommodated me previously with the HVAC service but not this time. I am an hourly employee and because of the line of work I am in, I cannot leave my work until I am relieved by the person on the next shift. I will have to find another company to help and will terminate my HVAC service plan with them after the next HVAC service to a company who can be more accomodating to my situtation. read more

We have had a completely different experience with Falcon. Take it for what it's worth: We moved into a brand new home almost 6 months ago to the day. This past Wednesday (August 26) apparently the fan in the Lennox air handler broke. More like shredded. So without AC since Wednesday without a resolution date set. Lennar and Falcon came out Thursday and said it would be 3-5 business days. Lennar even said that we should have had a HVAC maintance contract in place. On a new furance that is under warranty??? Falcon apparantly does not stock any parts and it had to be ordered (so were were told). They seem nice and professional, but too small to offer a high or average level of service, let alone resolution in a timely manner. Needless to say, we are very upset that it is taking this long. With the forecast rain and humidity levels we are concerned about damage to antiques, fine art, let alone mold and health issues. We have contacted other HVAC vendors that have warranty service agreements with Lennox as well. But since we called today, Saturday, they would not be able to run the warranty through Lennox until Monday. But our HVAC would be fixed on Monday! Final outcome Sept. 2: We have a functioning HVAC system now. SO and I still have a bit of an issue with they way everything was handled. For instance Falcon showed up with the wrong part today, which Mike from Falcon told me they expected in this morning, today! Have you ever tried to live in a 93 degree house? It's impossible. You can't do anything ... anything ... w/out sweating your whatevers off. I would sweat when I took a shower, I would sweat when I put on my make-up, and I would sweat when I laid on my couch (sans pants) w/ two fans blowing on me. It was ridiculous ... ridiculous! My HOA recommended Falcon so I gave them a call when my AC went kaput. I was peeved when they couldn't schedule me for a week, but they were offering a discount since I live in one of their preferred communities (or whatever). My love of shoes & pretty things made me wait a week because of the money I could/would save. **Fast forward to the day of my appointment** My window of time was 12pm - 4pm. Of course the tech showed up at 3:45pm, but whatever. He was very nice ... he introduced himself w/ a handshake and even talked to my dog (which is major bonus points). It didn't take him very long to diagnose the problem, but it took him a while to fix it because my utility closet is super small. I was very surprised when it didn't cost me an arm & a leg (hello, more shoes!). Bottom line ... I hope I never need to call Falcon again, but won't hesitate to if the situation arises. Yes, almost everything reported by Service Rep is accurate, as to response. I did ask for a visit after 6:00, being I work 3 days a week. I do not have any ability to leave my job. The thermostat has NEVER worked. Thus, I don't wish to pay 600.00 dollars for a new one. That was the quote I was given. I do understand the principle of following the Warranty, and not using an outside company to service or change out Thermostat, outside of Falcon managing the switch out. The Servicemen who arrived Thursday- where knowledgeable and attentive. I am waiting for them to notify me, as to when they will return to put in a "Booster" which can be done outside of my unit, that is my understanding. The 90 degree weather plus heat index, did make the service call an emergency. The heat broke in the storm Monday night- to Tuesday. Which I agreed, no longer made it a service Emergency by Tuesday night. The service rep, made some change to thermostat setting, and felt it would possibly help, with the thermostat intermittently changing the temperature setting. I hope that is the case. Although, this has been a year, of problems with the unit. Not being in the Air conditioning business, I don't understand why, an air conditioner would have problems early on, as stated in Service Writer's response? Where is the sweet spot for the Unit to work? Seems, brand new would be optimal? I understand NOW, another party fixed my same floor mates Unit. Though, she was not charged. That is not correct. We were having issues w our heater not flowing to the bedroom floors and it kept turning off prematurely. Falcon had someone come out the next day to inspect. The first person did a through job but was not able to find the issue. They then sent jose m who was a more senior tech and within an hour he was able to figure out the issue and remedy the issue. Jose was very professional and very knowledgable. He was willing to travel from md to va to ensure the issue was resolved. We would highly recommend him. read more

My A/C upstairs failed in the middle of a heat wave. Falcon came out the same day to repair. Philip the technician was great and properly identified the problem and A/C started working. Philip was a great representative for the company. Unfortunately, the problem was a loose wire on the outside unit. This was a new home that just went out of the 11 month warranty and Falcon was the installer. Falcon HVAC gives impressive customer service for both plumbing and HVAC needs. I have a maintenance contract on my HVAC system and have utilized Bert Russell, Master Plumber, a number of times. May appear pricey, however they offer great $$ incentives to returning customers and superb customer follow-up. One example is I purchased a water treatment system from them. About six weeks later, they followed up, came to check the system to ensure it was working effectively, checked all faucets and this 'check back' was at no cost to me. Also, through Falcon, I have been able to take advantage of mfg discounts to switch out faucets -- better faucets at pricing better than local retailers. With their pricing comes exceptional service. read more

If you had asked me earlier in the day, I would have given better stars, but about 6:00 pm, they all changed. We are having trouble finding good HVAC companies. Most are dishonest and we can't find the equipment we are looking for where I live, and it's been sticker shock from several. So, my son went on the Trane's website and then to the Falcon website and on both, they said they come out to my county/area, and Just to be sure, I called this morning and was told they do. She took down my info and said she'd have someone contact me to work out answering my questions about a system and coming out here. We decided to ask questions first and pricing. Carl was so nice. We were thrilled to have found this company. The pricing seemed fair and they seemed trustworthy. I didn't call any other companies today cause I thought we found the perfect one. The plan was to buy one heat pump for the downstairs and then one for the upstairs. Mine are 16 years old and one doesn't work at all. Anyway, Carl said to text him my address and he would check his schedule about coming out here this week. He said he had openings, but if this week didn't work, then next week would. We didn't even ask him to come out to my house, until we got an idea of cost and if this company would be a good fit for us. Anyway, about 6:00 pm ish, he texted we were outside their service area. I checked three times to make sure we were in their service area. Their website still says we are. I do not understand how it took all day for him to decide not to come out here. Trane's website and Falcon's website says they service this area. So, I was wrong about them being honest. They are not honest, in my opinion. And they cost me a day of not contacting other companies. Three on Trane's website do business in my area. Falcon is one. Carl now says they are going to be removed from Trane's site because where I live is too far. Funny that it wasn't this morning when I asked. And my area is still on Falcon's website tonight.
