This place is a solid 11/10! I was in the area, feeling hungry, and looking for something different. After finding this spot on Yelp, I'm so glad I decided to check it out. The moment you step inside, the atmosphere and decor immediately impress. I didn't have a reservation, so there was a bit of a wait, especially since it was a busy Saturday night. Thankfully, the wait was only about 20 minutes, and I got a text when my table was ready. I sat at the bar, which offered a great view of the whole place, with black-and-white movies playing on the TV in the background. Great ambiance! The only downside was they kept mentioning at the end of our meal that the next group for our table had arrived. We were a party of 8, the Lounge was packed and booked so we could not move there. We would have spent a lot more money on drinks if we didn't feel rushed to leave. We were only there for about an hour and a half and had to wait for mashed potatoes to be remade due to a mishap. The food was excellent. The bird cage charcuterie was cute. read more

I love my pasta, and enjoyed the charcuterie cage thing. Skip the broccolini and the Mac and cheese. They're like 7.5/10. The steak is DELICIOUS. The mashed potatoes! AH, get them. Glad we opted for a redo. This was our 5th visit.. Thank you to Falcon's Lair for being the restaurant we expect. This review is written subsequent to a previous poor service experience (a month and a half prior). I enjoy the atmosphere of Falcon's Lair- kinda has a Roaring 20s vibe (some staff dress the part)... the decor is well-stated and pleasant. I like the black and white films in the background of the restaurant, the cozy vibe of the bar. We joined the waitlist on the app- but didn't need to- However, the young host greeted us and took us straight to the table allocated for our "reservation." He let us know he be right back with menus and inform staff we were seated. This was progress from our last visit. Given we were seated in close proximity to the kitchen- I overheard him inform our server she had a table. Allyson (I'm assuming that was our server's name-per the receipt)- was not overly friendly/bubbly- but was absolutely professional and made recommendations when asked. She and the other staff moved about the dining room checking on customers and making sure their needs were met. Not too much. Just enough. I did enjoy seeing food runners and servers working together to make sure every person at a table received their food at the same time. Kudos for that. Now to the food. We ordered the charcuterie- which was everything I hoped it would be- and was consistent with previous dining experiences... It was seasonal, fresh, well-presented. AND-ABSOLUTELY worth the cost. The selection of meat, cheese, & fruit was on point. I ordered the Starlight Meatball Delight- and that it was! The sauce was flavourful, the pasta well-prepared (it had a stormy night- comfort food goodness about it). My husband ordered the Roaring 20s Porterhouse Steak and describes it as a perfect medium and paired with a great compound butter; he thoroughly enjoyed the steak. We also got the twice-baked truffle potatoes which were a beautiful blend of buttery & cheesy. Did we eat until sick- no.. The staff carefully boxed 4 packages of to-go yummy goodness for our daughter (a first responder) to drop off on our way home (well done for including utensils). We don't take leftovers from restaurants but Falcon's Lair is always good for the next round. So for them- YES! Thank you and your team for giving us a low-key relaxed dining experience. We'll definitely be back! Previous: 1/26/2025 Super disappointed. We came here on a Sunday for my husband's birthday- we got a table quickly... and then waited. And waited. And waited- for 20-25 minutes before we walked out. No server/busser/staff even acknowledged our presence. No water. No drinks. Nothing. But they did pass by us a number of times. My father-in-law attempted to get someone's attention- and that didn't even work. While it appears they're trying with the live band- it was waaaay too loud and was not consistent with the theme of the restaurant; unless they're going to completely overhaul what they designed to begin with. We were looking forward to enjoying some great food, ambiance, and time together. I'm so sad to not even be acknowledged. Likely won't go back as this is the second time this happened. The outside of the restaurant is very nice, but the interior has this unique moody vibe that I really enjoyed. Our server was so sweet and attentive and she would check in on how we were doing. We ordered meatballs & garlic bread, which was flavorful and delicious. We also ordered the love nest which was a spaghetti and chicken dish. It was also really tasty and a big portion size. We had their Valentine's drink which was Raspberry Romance which was fruity and nice. We also had a Velvet Crush for dessert which was the star of the night. This place was a hoot! We went for a birthday dinner. The day we went, they had a singing band and the crowd was wild with the entertainment. I enjoyed it and sang as well. The food was yummy but fair warning, it is expensive as the items are all charged individually. The portions were generous. We had great drinks and some dessert. I will go there again for another special occasion. Staff were very nice, it was busy so our waiter forgot our napkins but we everyday got them. Other than that, great experience. The seats are velvety to touch and we were comfortable. The recessed lighting needs to go and lights need to go down a bit. It ruined the vibe. Don't plan on mingling here and meeting people. It's just not cohesive with the arrangement of chairs & tables. If you were forced to walk through the middle of the room to go to the Lu, then maybe you could mingle and run into people. This was our second time going to Falcon's Lair since their opening, and wow, we were happy to give it another shot. That's not to say our first experience was a bad one-- it was just different. We sat in the dining area this time which has a great vibe with low lights and velvet covered booths. We started things out with Chicken Lettuce Wraps which were delicious! The sauce they use on them really makes the wrap, and they are so fresh and light. For dinner, we ordered the Honey Glazed Salmon, Smash Burger, Broccolini and the Twice Baked Truffle Potatoes. All so yummy! Our server and all the food runners were very friendly and sweet. Following this trip we will probably include Falcon's Lair in our date night rotation from now on. read more

We had reservations at Flair's Liars, and to be fair, our reservation was honored and we were seated in a timely manner. However, while waiting to be checked in, we overheard the host telling walk-in guests that the wait time without reservations was about an hour and a half. Hearing that wait time and seeing how busy the entrance was, we expected a higher level of service and organization. When we arrived, the host didn't greet us or ask about our reservations until we walked up ourselves, despite a sign instructing guests to wait to be called. The interaction we did receive felt vague and impersonal. Most of the staff appeared very young--likely high school or college aged--which isn't a problem on its own, but many seemed inexperienced or robotic in how they handled guests. Once seated, the experience continued to feel disorganized. We had to request utensils that should have already been on the table, the wrong bottle of wine was brought out, and certain dishes (like the lamb chops) arrived cold. The food itself was average; not terrible, but not memorable, especially considering the pricing. Portions were small for the cost (for example, a ~$50 4oz ribeye with no sides). At the end of the meal, our server offered to pack leftovers, but when the bill came, the food was gone -- apparently thrown out by mistake. No one seemed sure what happened to it. We also tried to visit the speakeasy lounge afterward and were initially told it was at full capacity. However, once we walked in, we immediately saw open seats and sat down, only to receive another dismissive interaction from the same host. The attitude came off unprofessional and unwelcoming. Overall: While our reservation was handled on time, the overall service, communication, and professionalism did not match the atmosphere or pricing. The restaurant feels overrated for what it offers. The drink presentation is nice, but not enough to recommend the experience. Would not recommend. read more
