We ordered the trio of street tacos and traditional 2 egg breakfast I didn't look, but I'm going to assume they have their own garden and they make fresh ingredient because you can taste the good quality in the food. But, if not, there's an Asian noodle place and a Mexican place directly across the floor from it. We like the Cafe as you can sit, relax and be waited on (same can be done at the Mexican place). Service can be a bit slow, even when the restaurant is slow. It's at the back of the casino so you can see the slots and occasionally hear them and their excited players. Food is good, not great. But, most of the items we've had before, we'd be willing to order again. If you happen to be in Pala and are getting hungry, take a look at the menu (they have a full menu board directly in front of the restaurant) and hopefully you'll find something that catches you eye. We didnt wait too long before our food arrived, and boy were we excited after seeing the plates. Right off the bat, the dishes looked picture perfect. A dish that would be handed to you at a fine restaurant (but with affordable prices haha). After taking my first bite, I was very happy! The sauce had SUCH a good flavor and wasn't watery. I have ordered spaghetti and meatballs other places, that were lacking in flavor...and this was far from that! The two slices of crusty garlic bread weren't soggy at all. The meatballs! Oh the meatballs. The were so flavorful and tender. My fork just slid into each one as I cut into them... just like butter. I couldn't believe it and asked our server how they are so good!? The server let us know their sauce and meatballs were homemade, and I made sure to tell her they were outstanding! The wagyu burger was exactly how you would expect it to be. We rang the bell at the counter, only to be met by a women saying, "uh, we're closed. How did you get in?" We pointed to the side door. Her response? "Well, I can escort you out". (Wow, rude). We then asked, "do you know of another coffee house open?" Her response, "I wouldn't know" (w/ a look and tone that MORE than implied "you can go now"). Then, as we're walking out, my brother comments to her, "I like the (vintage) stereo (in the side room) where an older couple was sitting. My brother asked if they were the owners. The woman curtly replied, "That's my Dad" (with a tone that MORE than implied "what's it to you?) and with a look at the door that was so cold and rude it's hard to relay on this post. The irony? The have a HUGE mural inside that says: SERVING EVERY SIP WITH A SMILE (or something to that affect). But, maybe that's only during hours of operation. Definitely NOT the customer service that would entice anyone to come back. So sad.
