She has dwarfism and is non verbal, tried to force a mask on her even though we were told by doctor last time she doesn't have to wear it. Then they called the doctor and she supposedly said she does. She's here for a physical not a sick visit. This is not the 1st time I've had complications with this office or staff. Walked in and was greeted with smiles, very friendly staff. Office and restrooms were very clean, as well as the patient rooms. I highly recommend this health center to everyone. Twice in six months, the corporate parent of this clinic summarily dismissed two of its therapists.. Dr. Kaleka and Elliott. Both are superb professionals and were dismissed without any consideration of their patients or the care their patients. I'd been seeing Dr. Kaleka for eight months for medical mental health management and had to start anew with the nurse practitioner who took on his patients. I'd been seeing Elliott for a year, had built a strong tryst with him and was entering a critical phase of my treatment when the fired him for political expediency. The clinic was left with two other therapist to take on his patients.. both women. Anyone who knows anything about therapy knows that some patients have trust issues with, and won't work effectively with women therapists. read more

My first appointment to establish care and it was horrible. I have lupus and a bunch of other health issues, just moved to Cali and this is the first doc I got. When the doctor came in, at first she tried to say she could give me any of my much needed referrals, THEN we I told her of this intense stabbing pain in my right guts for the last two days and I almost went into the ER for, she interrupted me and said, "I don't have time for this today. Come back another day". !! She never greeted me when she walked in, not a smile but look of (I don't want to be here) she tried to argue with me on referrals when I knew she just didn't want to do her job. She interrupted me a LOT, and only wrote down two things on my chart to attend to, when there was more that she just didn't care to address. I've never had such a bad experience with an office!! Horrible. I took my mom in because she had a horrible cough. We had an appointment and we're there about 30 min early. An hour went by and all we see are the front desk ladies texting laughing just sitting talking to one another. I guess you need to have government assistance healthcare coverage in order to be treated right. I had to take my mom to the ER because people here are useless. read more

If I am able to give this place 0 stars I would in a heartbeat! This "medical center" is horrible. I've been here 3 times and those times were all alike. This last visit I came in due to chronic asthma. Nurse practitioner Rachel Housian has written a letter to my employer to excuse me from coming in due to Covid-19. A few days later she had written another letter stating I may return back to work (without examining me) asthma is a respiratory issue and so people with respiratory issue is more likely to get Covid-19 if in contact with someone who has it, which I work in a school like setting, which is why she excused me from work until "further noticed" I believe this place does not know what their doing. They're all unprofessional including the front desk ladies who just care about social media and writing personal card for another employee who is resigning. They don't take COVID-19 in a serious matter considering they are a clinic. They don't wipe down chairs after each patient use. They want each patient to wear their mask provided, and they don't follow hand washing procedure. This place needs to be re evaluated! Save your time and go somewhere else if you don't speak Spanish! Which is another complaint of mine. They cater to those who have a Hispanic decent. HORRIBLE! read more

First off any place with "Armed Guards" is not Family Friendly. Armed Guards set a tone for confrontation and immediately escalate the overall tension.. There should be strict rules when hiring a "Rent-a-Wannabe-Cop" to be placed in a Family Health Clinic. That being said this place has sunk to barely a cold profit center. Obviously many changes have taken place here and in my opinion none are for the better. Widowed, Disabled Senior calls for an appointment for his SICK 12yr old daughter. As she has been to both the health and dental clinic previously in this facility I am given a appointment for a visit .During this process i am asked specifically : Age, DOB , both my name and my daughters and our current address along with phone ###. The receptionist confirms provider and we are good to go......... NOT REALLY --- when we arrive (early) I am told we have to change some of the paperwork to reflect that this clinic is the primary care. I question why I was not told this on the phone ??? I was confirmed and supposedly "good to go" This request has to be done on the phone and with the Insurance Provider .."They" (this clinic) says it may not go into effect until the first of the next month .... WHAT ??? I am here with a sick child that needs to be seen - and now BTW :: It is also a holiday and the offices for the provider are closed. This mantra is repeated with the Supervisor (nothing Super about her at all) Even the "Rent-a-Wannabe-Cop" gets into the action when he asked whether I have a appointment -- #1 shut up , #2 go stand in the corner with you gun ...... The supervisor does confirm with him (as he stand behind her to back up her words and actions) that indeed I do have a appointment .. In the end I was denied a visit for my sick daughter -When I asked if I could even pay for my visit I was told that they did not know the fees until after such visit / consultation - They could not even give me a range of fees,,, When a sick child "within the system" is denied basic services especially during a time of a influenza outbreak it is time to look at this facilities funding and State licensing . I would urge the State of California and County of San Diego to review and shut down Fallbrook Family Health Center . It is reprehensible to fathom that any institution that receives funding from the State would refuse any sick child . When the child has insurance from the State (confirmed / verified ) it should be your obligation to treat said child as eventually (guaranteed) you will be paid. Proven again Fallbrook Family Health Center is not in the communities best interest .. I am sure as a community we would have many uses for the space they occupy . As for the "Rent-a-Wannabe-Cop" that lacks basic training - take off the vest and remove the gun as they do not belong within the walls of any Family Health Center. I have been told to look into Legal Action and I encourage anyone reading this to do the same had they had a similar experience . read more

I'm giving 2 starts not 1 because the PA I saw was awesome, the nursing staff however is horrible. I have been calling for 9 days because a medication I was prescribed was not covered by my insurance. Not once did I get a call back. I finally insisted on speaking to the PA and after another day the nurse has finally submitted a prior authorization but that will take at least 3 days before the insurance approves it. It will be over 2 weeks since the med was prescribed until I may be able to get it which is ridiculous. I worked in the medical field for over 10 years, I know how nursing staff should work and there is never any reason to not return a patient's call for 9 days, I'm just grateful this med isn't needed to keep me alive or this could have been a very bad situation!!! read more

Got here at 8:05, not a single person in the lobby. My girlfriend gave her name, appointment was at 8:00. Waited till 8:30 with a half full lobby that she didn't get there in time, and needed to reschedule. Don't know about you reading this, but this kind of customer service is unacceptable for my standards. read more

I absolutely love this clinic. I've been taking my family here for over 3 years. Their staff is helpful and personable. Their pediatrician (dr Xie) is wonderful and really listens to you. Granted, I personally have never seen an actual doctor for myself; it's always a nurse practitioner... But she is knowledgable and will do her research if she isn't sure about something. As a bonus though, they are not afraid to refer. Any time additional help is needed, they refer us to a specialist, without any haggling. I love the care we get here. I don't ever plan on moving! read more

i do not recommend this doctor. A family member of mine went to get lab results and went with doctor Evelyn and when she got inside and the doctor came and told her that she had an std and my sister was questioning how if she had only been with one man but she just keep listening to her and the doctor asked her when she was due. my sister then questioned what she meant because my sister wasn't pregnant at all and she told the doctor and doctor Evelyn heard and jus froze and she said oh um i don't know why it was on the chart but then later while my sister was driving, the doctor called her on her cellphone not the receptionist the doctor called her and told her she needed bloodwork but my sister already had gotten bloodwork so she told the doctor she didn't understand and she said i need more but yea i do not recommend this place to people. and to me it seems that they don't really care about if they get you mixed up. read more

I am beyond frustrated and pissed off with this clinic... the customer service is awful! I, myself, work for a Doctors Office so I know how it should be ran and how the customer service should work. I went to my CVS pharmacy to pick up antibiotics that my doctor claimed she faxed over. CVS never received it. So, giving the doctor the benefit of the doubt I waited, the next morning I've tried to call them FOUR times. Not once but FOUR times and they have sent me to voicemail every time. Needless to say, I will be looking for another doctors office. How hard is it for someone to pick up the phone and say "I'm sorry ma'am but can you please hold?" It's that simple. This office is pathetic. I don't even want to give them this one star but yelp wont let me post this without doing so. read more
