Marcie Fallek is a miracle worker. In fact my cat Muggins is a chapter in one of her books. He was a lost cause - she bought him 3-1/2 more very good years. I cannot say enough good things about Marcie Fallek. 5 stars are simply not enough! I have a rescue dog who always had issues with his stomach and anxiety. I highly recommend Dr. Fallek. In April 2019, my 11-year-old chocolate Labrador, Kendall, was diagnosed with very advanced retroperitoneal sarcoma. The emergency vet said she might live 2-3 months--if we were lucky. My experience was consistent with the review from Ann R. below. During our first visit she spent a half hour reviewing her previous medical records (and I was of course charged for that time) spent about an hour asking non essential questions ("if you take her to a friend's place and you go to the bathroom, does she cry?") and barely examined my dog. She also wasn't able to keep facts straight and quite honestly didn't seem very good. I was charged $1000 for that visit and she gave me two remedies. She also charged me a $100 NYC surcharge fee which was insane since her website has a NYC address listed. She said it's to cover her travel costs, and I can't believe she puts that cost on the patient. I gave her the remedy she prescribed for three days and it made her symptoms worse. She's been off it for about a week now and is still having issues!! It's so frustrating. I emailed her to let her know the remedy was aggravating her issues, and I assumed she would be sending me an alternative free of charge (or instruct me to use the other remedy she sold to me). Instead she wanted to talk and was going to charge me for that time. I asked if it could be free of charge since I had already spent so much money at the previous appointment and the remedy she prescribed wasn't working. She then said if the remedy is working, we don't need to speak. If it's not, then we need to talk and work through the issue and that things would be intensive for the first few months as we figured out the remedy but would then get better. That's when I realized this was a scam. I looked at her website and looked up all the publications she cited as being featured in, and couldn't find any articles under her byline. Also, all her online reviews are the same. I'm guessing they're fake, but if not, she's definitely taking reviews from her website and posting on other platforms. I called Fallek regarding my stage 4 kidney cat on Labor Day 2019. Cat was diagnosed in May 2019 by a regular veterinarian via urine and blood testing. Cat was a great eater and the regular vet had me administering 100 cc's of fluids subcutaneously each day at home. Cat was doing great then just prior to Labor Day she began to vomit more often (bile) and she stopped eating and began to hide. Alarmed, I thought there were other things I could do for her besides watch her suffer so I went to Fallek after reading her website for help. Fallek barely gave my cat a physical, rather she queried me about 'is she a sad cat' and other non urgent questions which seemed to stretch the time out for her maximum fee. ($650 in the end of 1 visit). I was sent home with 3 holistic prescriptions - none of which my cat in her state was able to tolerate. Fallek had boasted about 'having clear liquids that had no taste' but we were never provided any. I had one detox liquid to administer and my cat vomited the next day very hard. Fallek chided me that 'she couldn't do anything if I didn't call her right away' of course at a cost per minute - $8 I think. Well I called her one more time very upset as my cat seemed to be getting worse and I just wanted to make the situation as comfortable as possible for her. I was told to come back (I managed to return at no cost) and again the cat was barely looked at and after another useless discussion in which I inquired if my cat was in any pain, Fallek said 'oh no, not at all' and she downplayed my query regarding trying CBD oil for cats or an anti-nausea medication. She did not recommend anything but charged me over $100 for meds that my cat could not tolerate - why would she? She wasn't eating! Fallek, in her infinite wisdom, said she couldn't 'hear my cats heart because she was purring too loudly' to which I replied 'that's a sign of distress, isn't it?' And she acted annoyed. (My poor baby). This is all taking place at Fallek's tiny home in Fairfield, CT - the room was uncomfortable and tiny. I was told by Fallek AFTER SHE CHECKED MY CATS HEART to INCREASE the fluids to 150 cc's a day. My cat was 13 pounds at this point. Never was I told 10 cc's per pound of cat was the normal recommendation otherwise you can affect Blood Pressure! I went home, exhausted after trying to find anything for my cat to eat, no appetite stimulant by Fallek, no pain meds. The next morning I found my cat on the floor trying to get to the kitchen. I picked her up and administered the fluids as directed by Fallek. In 5 minutes my cats head got very low and she looked terrible. Then she lifted her head, looked right at me with her big beautiful eyes, got up and ran to my arms, and began to breath very hard then seized up. I rushed her to a local VCA hospital where they informed me her heart rate was very low and it was not ethical to revive her in that state. That she was in a terrible amount of pain. I cried feeling completely responsible and taken advantage of, and euthanized my beautiful girl of 17 years. Her eyes were bright and healthy to the end. Since this horrific event I have found a support group of similar parents and professionals that are caring for cats with chronic kidney disease and I have relayed my story. Via their recommendation I am writing this review so other pet owners are aware of this individual and what she did to my family. I did receive a card from her to be fair, but it was sent to the wrong address to which I was not surprised. She knew my cat barely 7 days and took $650 from me. That wasn't right. read more

Dr Marcie Fallek has been amazing for our Luna who is a 5 year old black lab. Luna diagnosed with nasal cancer in October 2018. We started noticing issues around May 2018 and never expected it to be a cancer diagnosis, she was only 3 years old. We had a biopsy done, got the diagnosis and got an appointment at the Radiation Oncologist as quick as we could. The oncologist was amazing, she was very thorough and honest about the treatment and prognosis. At the end of our appointment we asked point blank will we lose Luna to this cancer and she told us yes, we can't cure this. Radiation would hopefully give us more time, although the doctor couldn't guarantee it. She told us the average life expectancy post radiation was 2 to 18 months (could be longer, could be shorter). Without treatment we'd likely lose her sooner rather than later. We felt that if we are going to lose her anyway it didn't seem right of us to put her through the radiation and chance the side affects knowing she would ultimately succumb to this disease. We came across Dr Fallek online, scheduled an appointment and drove 2 1/2 hours to meet with her and it was so worth it. I'm not the type of person to write reviews , but I felt like I needed to share with others how incredibly talented , caring and accommodating Dr Fallek is. In Nov 2018 Marek, our loving dobie, was diagnosed with lymphoma. My fiancé and I were devastated and heartbroken to say the least .. Marek did have surgery to remove the inflamed lymph node from a local vet. I never write reviews, but this one is long overdue. I have met Dr Fallek in 2009. My chihuahua was diagnosed in 2006 with IBS and was put on metronidazole. She would get 1/4 of the pill and was doing fine for 3 years. After that, however, it just stopped working. The local vet increased the dose to a whole pill a day with no positive change at all. My poor girl was in pain, had non stop diarrhea for over 2 weeks, and nothing worked. I visited few vets in Brooklyn and Manhattan, colonoscopy and biopsy was suggested. I did not want to put my dog through this, not to mention the costs. Desperate and frustrated, I searched the internet and came across Dr Fallek's name. Filipa, my JRT, has been seeing Doctor Fallek for the past 5 years. She is now 14. We first met Marcie after Filipa's heart murmur worsen and her previous vet started her on regular allopathic meds which were supposed to help her, but almost killed her. When my husband and I adopted our pup Mia from a rescue over 11 years ago we thought of veterinarians as helpful experts who would guide us in taking the best care of our good natured, albeit a little anxious (especially at the vet) pup. Through many bad experiences however our view changed. We bounced around from veterinarian to veterinarian always hoping the next would provide a good experience. We found one pretty nice vet in Brooklyn but never had a thoroughly positive experience nor found someone who we truly trusted until we found Dr. Fallek. We feel so lucky to have found Dr. Fallek, a holistic veterinarian, just as our pup was getting older and running into some health issues. At 9 she started exhibiting signs of discomfort which we learned were due to arthritis in her hips and she was prescribed pain medication. We checked out the medication online (yes, we know you cannot believe everything you read) but saw a high occurrence of bad side effects and felt like we needed to cross our fingers for her safety if we were to treat her as suggested. At this point we heard about Dr. Fallek through a friend. When we found Dr. Fallek she took into consideration Mia's mental as well as physical health and assisted us to address her anxiety using homeopathy. As a pet parent, I really wanted to exhaust all options to treat my dog's ultra rare bone cancer. His tumors were growing within the epithelial layers of the skin and not on the bone, only one case in Israel was recorded. I have no doubt this vet has helped others, but I am skeptical at best. "Potions" alone cannot stall cancer or cure it. She is VERY expensive and watch your time with calls. A 5 minute call can be over $200. Worst of all, she couldn't answer any of my questions or address my concern if the masses began to rupture.? Is it an emergency? She'd ramble about how her dog had these tumors and they fell off. Made no sense. She is very unorganized, never being able to find emails that were sent and then would scramble and waste time on the phone. Time is money. I called on a Sunday because Duke was vomiting, she provided no assistance. There was absolutely no follow up call or email to check in. I understand her dog was not doing well, but when the dust settles, your patients need to be a priority. I called Sunday, my dog was put down on Wednesday. Dr. Fallek has been such an important part of my pets' life for over 15 years.
