This is a new and very welcome restaurant addition in North Raleigh. We ate here for lunch for the first time today, and it was great. They have a combination of American and Caribbean dishes, and you can get breakfast, lunch or dinner at any time of the day. The food was excellent. My significant other had a wrap and I had empanadas and rice and beans. The empanadas were so good, and my partner said the wrap was very good too - it was quite big. It was too cold to eat outside, but they have a nice patio. The staff was friendly and helped us understand the Caribbean options. We will definitely go back! read more

This is one of our favorite breakfast and lunch spots! Perfect small cafe diner ambiance for a quick, casual meal. Large portion sizes and you can tell food is prepared fresh. Some of our favorites have been the pancakes, omelettes, and the Los tres golpes if you want to try some of their Dominican cuisine. For lunch we've loved the chimis, huge salads, and the empanadas. We also love that it's a family owned business. You can feel it in the care and service you receive. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so that we can sit on the patio this spring! read more

This was our first visit. The restaurant was quaint and very clean and cute. We unknowingly arrived 15 minutes before close on a Sunday and were greeted with such kindness and promptly seated, no questions asked. The service was incredible! The food was delicious! All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our different meals. Towards the end of our dining experience, I noticed some closing procedures taking place and looked up what time they closed. We were 15 minutes past closing and had no idea! They were all incredibly kind and attentive and never gave an inkling that they were closing. I apologized for not checking the time and asked for the check so we could get out of the way. They so kindly told us to please stay and enjoy the rest of our meals and to take our time. This is beyond customer service, in a world were you rarely get basic customer service anymore. I was so pleasantly surprised and appreciative. whenever we're in town visiting relatives we make sure to stop here for breakfast. it's always so good! we've had fried eggs over easy and/or medium - cooked perfectly! breakfast potatoes are nicely browned with little bits of onion and are so satisfying. pancakes and waffles highly recommended, too. and coffee of course. all really yummy! service is consistently excellent and friendly. generous portions, more like an old fashioned diner. they also offer Dominican food. we haven't been for lunch or dinner yet but will make time to get there soon because i don't think it will disappoint. read more

This was a great find. We would be in the area at lunch time and I looked to see what was available. I had the French toast and my partner had the Chimi. Both were delicious. The restaurant was full so the service took a few minutes, but not unreasonably so. The wait staff were attentive and we did not have to call her over to the table. The place is small (6 or so booths and three tables), but it's bright, airy and clean. The do offer take-out and there is a pastry case with very yummy-looking treats, but were able to pass on them. read more

I was a bit disappointed with my order and I've been there before for breakfast 3 times. Decide to pick up dinner and I order Chicharron the pollo (cracklin chicken) w/ rice, sweet plantains and beans on the side. When I have purchase Chicharron the pollo it suppose to be in bit size pieces and crunchy, not at all and the frijoles ( black beans had no flavor) very disappointed. Excellent empanadas! I stopped here on a whim while killing some time waiting for my daughter. What a surprise! The waiter was friendly, the restaurant clean and the empanadas very authentic. Service has always been very good. Breakfast are awesome. Only had lunch their once, and burger was way undercooked. Still good but not medium like I ordered. Only other complaint is the WILL NOT share their wifi with the customers, this day and age, they need to provide their customers with wifi access. read more

Philly Cheesesteak was way over salted and this comes from a heavy salt user. I've eaten here multiple times and this is the first that I've gotten that I could hardly eat it. Service was nonexistent as once the food was served, that was the last I saw the server check on our table. Due to the quality of the food and lack of service, I decided NOT to tip. I paid by card and got my receipt. Checking my bank statement later I found that someone added a 20% tip without my approval or knowledge. Actually if the food had been better and the service acceptable, my tip would have exceeded the 20% as I am a generous tipper. Bad service, bad food and unethical business practice equals one lost customer!!! read more

Had breakfast for dinner and it was exactly what we were wanting and expecting from a diner or cafe. Nothing over the top but hit the breakfast spot. Our 7 year old cleaned her adult sized portion! They're obviously working out the kinks being a new establishment but overall they were friendly, the food was good and was served pretty quickly. We will be returning! read more
