This place is a hidden gem, first thing walking in I was great with a bright, happy woman behind the register. I asked what breakfast burrito is the best or her favorite and took her up on the recommendation of the Machaca Breakfast Burrito. Choosing to dine in I was offered chips and salsa and asked for salsa preference. No salsa bar here which was fine, I chose spicy and got a roasted red salsa and creamy green salsa. Red had more kick but the green had such a nice bright flavor. I'm sure there are more options but it was nice to trust the service to pick. Now for the burrito, the star of the show, Machaca is only 50 cents more than the bacon, coming in at around $14 which is about average around here. The size was great and a nice weight. Cutting it open there was a great mix of all the ingredients. Potatoes were a small dice and seasoned with the same spice they sprinkle on their chips I think. Fajita style onions and peppers with a generous amount of juicy Machaca, laced with perfectly melted cheese. I think there may have been some refried beans in there too since I asked for everything they recommend. If there was they were so nicely blended they didn't dominate a single bite and may have performed more as a binder. 5 stars for Location and staff were both great as it's not hard to get to off Ynez by the dealerships. It's the kind of place locals know of and tell people they got their perfect spot. Blown away by how friendly the staff is, in the morning, while taking deliveries. The Machaca Breakfast Burrito is a solid 4.9/5, would definitely order again after I try some of the others because this place is definitely going on the short list of go-to spots. What a gem of a restaurant. Familia Restaurant Grill offered up delicious food options with great portions. The location is a mom and pop operation with enough tables and seating to accommodate maybe a few groups of people. We arrived here on a weekday afternoon as we were craving some breakfast burritos. This restaurant is steady with customers coming in for their lunch breaks. The cashiers and staff were very welcoming to us as we needed dining in. We ended up ordering a Machaca burrito and a fish burrito. They offered house made chips and salsa as complimentary items. These burritos were served so hot and fresh the steam was seeping through. The machaca was delicious and I loved the spice from the fresh cut jalapenos. My wife and I ended up eating 1/2 of our burritos and took the rest to go. We first visited and I Yelped Familia Restaurant just over 2 years ago when we were so impressed with the food we ordered it earned an easy 5 stars. Two plus years later and over 50 visits we are now considered regulars and Familia ranks top of our list for Mexican cuisine in our area. My favorite items are the rolled tacos, carnitas burrito, and any of their tacos. My wife loves their ceviche, rolled tacos or chili verde burrito. Familia spicy creamy jalapeño salsa is world class. It is addicting and I am not ashamed to admit I have sipped it from the container. The staff treat us so well. They know what we like and always try to make every visit a memorable one. My husband and I stopped by here because we were craving burritos. It's a small restaurant with a few tables and a refrigerator for their drinks. We were greeted upon arrival and walked up to the counter to place our orders. I ordered the Fish Burrito which comes with cabbage, pico salsa, chipotle sauce, and Spanish rice. This was tasty and filling! I saved half for later because we had to get ready for a wedding in the afternoon. The fish was battered and was perfectly crispy. There was just the right amount of salsa. The chipotle sauce also added the right amount of smokiness. I could taste all the ingredients complimenting each other in every bite. I'm giving this rating merely on the food experience. The owner and staff are all super nice and friendly, I do like their salsa, ceviche, breakfast burrito. However I got their beef chimichanga, it was a bit oily (the beef), tough, and there wasn't really anything else in the burrito which is a bit disappointing (pure meat is a bit intense vs mixed w rice etc). My partner also didn't love it much. I don't recommend that. Maybe will try smth else next time. Their chips are pre seasoned and are a bit too salty in my opinion but I do like their salsa. Would come back for their breakfast chorizo burrito but wouldn't come back here as a first option as I been around and tasting all different kind of Mexican food. Took me way too long to try Famila!! The rolled tacos are the best I've EVER had!! Yes I said it! Full of shredded beef. The hard shell taco and the chile verde were excellent as well. Called in for a pick up order. The woman on the phone was super friendly and made sure to repeat my order back to me and gave me an accurate pick up time. I like how she was able and happy to share what was in certain items and accommodated any changes like guac on the side. I ordered a shredded beef chimi plate and the 5 tolled tacos plate. I split between chicken and beef. I wanted to chili replenish plate but she said they didn't make any that day. I will have to go back and try it. The food was tasty and had a good portion, in my opinion. The guac they gave me on the side was big! I also thought the salsas were very good. I should have asked for more. I do think the guac had a weird tang to it like they used synthetic lime juice instead of fresh. I also thought the beans were a little tangy, but I liked the consistency.
